Plenty of iconic show business moments came out of the original Star Wars films. "I've got a bad feeling about this" is a quote that has become common place among just about everyone who has seen the movies for any situation they aren't too sure about. There aren't many more chilling but inspiring moments as Obi-Wan Kenobi telling Vader "if you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine". Similarly, if you tell someone you are their father, they almost automatically know exactly the film and instant you are referencing.

Other moments, in many cases from the three prequels, are notorious but for different reasons. The dialogue between Padme and Anakin is bad enough it probably made plenty of people lose their faith in human relationships. Furthermore, any line uttered by Jar Jar Binks is about as painful to watch or listen to as acting comes. But back to all the amazing stuff in the series, some people always forget Carrie Fisher and the golden bikini. While she died back in late 2016, her reputation, outspoken nature, acting ability and beauty will live on, and primarily due to her portrayal of Princess Leia. One of her greatest moments, and something that caused young men to lose it during the 1980's, was her golden bikini worn during Return of the Jedi.

It remains one of the most famous outfits in all of cinema. While plenty of guys have spent over thirty years fantasizing about it, plenty of women, whether normal people dressing up for Halloween, or celebrities just trying to turn some heads, have tried to imitate the look. Here are fifteen gorgeous celebrities who went for the "slave Leia" golden bikini look.

Why Not Start With The Original?

It would be not only ignorant but also disrespectful to the legacy of Carrie Fisher to not have her on this list. The late actress took some criticism when The Force Awakens came out, because some internet trolls thought she looked old and overweight, but she was nearing sixty at the time, and actually probably still looked better than any of her critics. As a young woman however, she was one of the most beautiful in the acting business, and playing Leia brought her into the fantasies of millions of young men at the time. While beauty was somewhat different back then, Carrie Fisher's has withstood the test of time, and the golden bikini remains a beloved part of movie history for multiple generations, not just those who grew up in the 70s and 80s. That original bikini sold for $96,000 at an auction two years ago.

Maitland Ward

When it comes to nearly universal crushes for young males from the 1990's, Topanga from Boy Meets World is a popular topic of discussion, but Rachel McGuire, played by Maitland Ward sometimes flies under the radar. She was only around for the last two seasons of the show, but she definitely made an impact during the show's characters' college years. Since her time on that show however, Ward has worked only a handful of roles, and got married and went back to school rather than continuing to act full time. She has returned to the spotlight in some regard however, and has newfound fame for flaunting her continuing good looks (now 40 years old) on social media, with plenty of body paint and near-nude shots. We can't really complain, and she totally nailed the Slave Leia look a few years ago at Comic-Con.

Melissa Joan Hart

The actress who played the titular character on Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Melissa Joan Hart, may be one of the most underrated beauties of the 1990's. She started out as Clarissa on Nickelodeon's Clarissa Explains it All before playing Sabrina, and since then she's remained busy, despite an active business career, activist ventures and of course, family life. Outside of small parts here and there, she starred in the political sitcom Melissa and Joey from 2010 until 2015, but that has been the major role of her last decade of work. Her business interests included a candy shop she opened several years ago, and with regard to her political interests, she earned the scorn of Hollywood for being a somewhat outspoken Republican and more recently worked with Gary Johnson on his campaign with the Libertarian Party. But getting back to what's important, she showed up to a Halloween party back in the late 90s dressed as Leia and looked pretty great.

Kerri Kasem

While she isn't the most recognizable name on this list, Kerri Kasem has built an impressive career in modeling and radio work. She's the daughter of late American Top 40 host, Casey Kasem. Kerri is mostly known for her twenty years in the radio business, during which she has most notably worked on a couple of shows with rock musician Nikki Sixx of Motley Crue. As we said, she's done some modeling along with her radio career, and one of her best public appearances featured Leia's golden bikini. Looking beyond her modeling and radio work, she has left much of that behind these days (although we wouldn't call her completely retired), in favor of her charitable organization. She founded Kasem Cares, a few years ago. The foundation lobbies for legislation in relation to the issue of elder abuse.

Kim Kardashian

While they met much earlier (some time in the early 2000's), Kim Kardashian recalls a pilot for a ridiculous looking puppet show called Alligator Boots as the time when she and now-husband Kanye West first connected. It was back in 2007 and Kanye was working on a new show with some friends that was intended to be a hip-hop themed spoof of the Muppets.  There would be very few human characters, but the first episode was to include Kanye in a stormtrooper costume and Kim dressed as seen here. At the time, Kim was a much smaller name in Hollywood (primarily known for her "home video" taken with rapper Ray J). The show was never picked up by Comedy Central, despite there being plenty of big name writers involved, and of course Kanye West. But while the show was ultimately a failure, he got a decent looking woman out of it.

Jennifer Aniston

The show Friends was on the ball with most of it's social satire and comedy, there is no question as to why the program did so well, and remains a beloved part of the 90s and early 2000s. In this third season episode "The One with the Princess Leia Fantasy", Rachel finds out that Ross' most significant "bedroom fantasy" has to do with the Return of the Jedi scene with Leia and the golden bikini. It becomes a major joke throughout the episode, with Rachel finally deciding to dress up like this to please Ross. Ross, however, had an odd conversation with Chandler and Joey, in which both admit to thinking of Chandler's mother while doing the deed. Even with Rachel looking like she does, Ross' own fantasy is ruined when the image of his mother pops into his head.  No matter how awkward the subject matter of the episode, Jennifer Aniston looks awesome.

Annalynne McCord

AnnaLynne McCord's career started out in the early 2000's and she primarily worked as a model. She quickly transitioned into acting, and after a few years of small roles, she landed one of the main roles on 90210. While that show ended back in 2013, it remains her most significant, but she has worked on a few decent projects, on both TV and the big screen since. While on the show, McCord has dressed up like a couple of iconic science-fiction characters. Back in 2011 her character Naomi had an Avatar look, and was decked out in all blue for a scene. Just a year later, Naomi attended a science fiction convention in support of her boyfriend who was working for a video game company. Her outfit was none other than the Slave Leia bikini.

Kym Johnson

Now known as Kym Herjavec since getting married, most people know this Australian dancer as Kym Johnson. She participated in competitive ballroom dancing from a young age, and eventually took her skills to the screen, first appearing on the Australian Dancing With The Stars competition. By 2006 she had transferred over to the American version, where she would stay for over a dozen seasons, working with people such as TV personalities Jerry Springer and Donny Osmond, and former NFL stars Hines Ward and Warren Sapp. In her second season on the show she was paired up with former N'Sync member Joey Fatone, and they went on to place second. One of the first dances they did was to a modified version of the Star Wars theme. While Fatone wore a suit and swung a lightsaber around, Kym was wearing a dress that looked very similar to Princess Leia's slave bikini.

Amy Schumer

Comedian Amy Schumer, who will do just about anything for attention, rocked this slave Leia costume two years ago when she posed and did an interview for GQ. She's an accomplished woman and has some great stand up routines (even if some of them have been stolen from other comics). She's earned the scorn of plenty of dudes all over the internet for her curvy figure and liberal views, but for our purposes, we're just admiring these women in a delightful costume, so other divisive issues matter not. One of her funniest recurring jokes has to do with her own sexuality, hence why her whole GQ spread involved suggestive poses with characters such as the droids R2-D2 and C-3PO, with whom she claimed to have had a threesome. Of course, nothing beats what she's pretending to do to that lightsaber.

Kristen Bell

Kristen Bell is one of the cutest starlets out there, and while her usual blonde look suits her just fine, we're crazy about what she looks like with darker hair. Despite being in her late 30s these days, she could still pass for 20's easily. If you're wondering where you've seen her before, she was the titular character in the show (and movie) Veronica Mars and Forgetting Sarah Marshall, along with parts in Heroes, Parks and Recreation, and some voice acting, including video games in the Assassin's Creed series, and playing Anna in Frozen. These two shots are from a 2009 movie called Fanboys. In that film, several friends, including Bell as Zoe, go on an adventure, set in the late 1990's, to meet with George Lucas to ask for a screening of Episode One: The Phantom Menace, before one of the friends dies of terminal cancer. The movie is funny at times, but ultimately forgettable, unlike Kristen Bell dressed as Slave Leia.

Yvonne Strahovski

While she looks amazing in the golden bikini, Aussie actress Yvonne Strahovski's greatest contribution to science fiction may be her video game voice acting. Fans of the video game series Mass Effect will recognize her as the model and voice of that series' Miranda Lawson. Lawson is a genetically modified human woman, designed to be brighter, faster, stronger, and more beautiful than the rest of the species. That character is often cited as one of the most beautiful video game women of all time, and we can see why, as she looked like her voice model, but with dark hair.

Strahovski's major claim to fame for many years however, was playing one of the main characters, Sarah Walker, on NBC's spy comedy Chuck. This was her character's first Halloween costume on the show, all the way back in 2007.

Alessandra Torresani

The phrase "way too cute" isn't thrown around often, but actress Alessandra Torresani is very deserving of that honor. Looking at her, in just about any role she has played, it comes as a serious surprise to learn that this stunning woman is 30 years old.

If you're not too sure who this gorgeous actress is, her film roles have been few and far between, but her TV parts are numerous, and include early appearances on ER, Malcolm In The Middle, and Bones. Recently she has played Claire on The Big Bang Theory. Several years ago she was one of the stars of the show Caprica, which takes place in the Battlestar Galactica universe. Attack of the Show made a hilarious parody of Caprica a few years ago, re-imagining the entire gig in a way that was as hilarious as it was borderline disrespectful. Alessandra Torresani was in a Slave Leia outfit, and while it made no sense, we doubt anyone watching cared at all.

Adrianne Curry

Adrianne Curry was the first winner of the America's Next Top Model reality show. Her win was all the way back in 2003, and launched her into the spotlight. Since then she has modeled for more brands than we care to name and numerous magazines, including two shoots for Playboy. Along with her wildly successful modeling career, she has become a celebrity in other fields as well, including TV and movie roles along with some production work. She starred on My Fair Brady (another God-awful reality show) many years ago, and that is where she met her now ex-husband, former Brady Bunch star Christopher Knight. They're divorced now and he earned the hatred of many men for having married such a hottie.

She wore this Leia costume to a Star Wars convention back in 2010, and claimed to have been groped by a man outside that convention after attending.

Olivia Munn

One of the most beautiful women in all of show business, Olivia Munn has a couple of claims to fame. Her acting career goes back to 2004, and most of her early roles were in lesser known titles, but she was a host on Attack of the Show from 2006 to 2010. Her notable film roles include Iron Man 2, Magic Mike, and more recently Psylocke in X-Men: Apocalypse; a role she will continue for X-Men: Dark Phoenix, which should be out in 2018. Her other big TV roles were on The Newsroom and The Daily Show. For sports fans, we all know her much more for her role as Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers' ex-girlfriend. They split up a few months ago, and while there are plenty of rumors suggesting she caused a rift between Rodgers and his family, nobody knows for sure why. While the Packers field General can probably pick up any cheese-head girl in the great state of Wisconsin, he gave up a beautiful one. She dressed up like Leia for a skit on Attack of the Show.

Arianny Celeste

Fans of mixed martial arts will love this one. UFC ring girl Arianny Celeste was in a parody video a couple of years ago when The Force Awakens first came out. She and some actor in a Darth Vader costume acted out a scene similar to Leia's interrogation on the Death Star. Arianny isn't much of an actress, unfortunately. The scene featured a brief questioning, followed by Vader using the force to remove Leia's white robe, after which they make some flirty small talk and she does an awkward dance, only made exciting by the fact that Arianny is magnificent. She finally mentions that dancing in the bikini is as "far as she's willing to go", and Vader lets out a bellowing "NOOOOO!!". It's a funny video, but it kind of ruins it if you consider that Leia is technically Vader's daughter, which makes it kind of weird.
