Adventure movies have so many worthwhile qualities but one of the most apparent is that adventure films can cross countless genres. This list compiles all of the must-see adventure movies of 2017 which includes horror thrillers, space operas and even a monster film or two. Seeing an adventure movie in theaters can be a fabulous escape from the real world. Whether work is just so draining or family has become a little stressful, going out to see a movie and having a bag of super buttery popcorn can add a little joy to the doldrums of waking life. Movies can also show us a different side of life that we wouldn’t otherwise have any experience or understanding.
More importantly, adventure films often feature our favorite comic book, television or vintage toy characters and next year has plenty of that to offer. There will be multiple releases from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, one or two from DC and even a Power Rangers reboot starring some of our favorite comedians. So get out there and plan that date night, get the dudes together to dress up for the premier of the newest Spiderman or even grab your siblings and enjoy some family bonding to our favorite childhood television program. Next year should be a great one for feature films so don’t skip out on the theater because adventures are just better on the big screen.
