If you have made the decision to rock out in your birthday suit in any form of media, there is always going to be the chance that the photo or video is going to be around forever. This becomes even truer if you're a celebrity and that birthday suit-inspired moment just happens to be a major movie, television show or magazine publication.

Below we have 10 celebrities that definitely wish they could turn back time and make sure that their clothes never hit the floor. For reasons ranging from their children being bullied, to them being unhappy with how they looked or feeling pressured and unable to say no, these 10 women all have valid reasons for wishing they covered up.

But that isn't the case for every woman in Hollywood. In fact, the other half of our list is full of women that not only have shown it all on screen but loved doing it. Luckily for you, that means they probably aren't done doing it anytime soon.

Then we've also got the situations like Kate Winslet, Kim Kardashian and Eva Green, three women who have seemingly let the clothes drop more times than it stayed on their body, but all of them had some moments where they regretted baring it all (including a Bond scene!).

The only thing these 20 women all have in common is that they're all gorgeous, and they've all let it all hang out at least once and let the world see!

20. Loved It - Natalie Dormer

Anyone who watches Game of Thrones knows that you definitely have to be prepared for an abundance of skin throughout the show. But if you think you're only going to be looking at females, think again. In fact, it is that gender equality that helped make Natalie Dormer so pleased when she had to bare it all on screen.

"There’s plenty of male [exposure] in Game of Thrones, too. Sex is part of life, ergo it’s part of art. If you’re representing real life, then you will represent sex," she said in a past interview.

When Dormer was also asked on if 16-year-old her would be ashamed that she's shown it off so often, Dormer responded "If I can pay the bills doing the job I love — my 16-year-old self would be very content with that. But, of course, your ambitions change."

Dormer may not be showing up in Westeros any time soon, but at least the option of seeing her take off her dress remains a high possibility in the near future.

19. Regrets It - Mary-Louise Parker

There are plenty of things about appearing as the lead in WEEDS that Mary-Louise Parker should have been incredibly proud of. The show was generally well-received and ran for 102 episodes over 8 seasons. But one moment that Parker wishes she could take back was letting it all show on camera during an infamous bath scene during the 4th season.

When talking about it, Parker said "I didn’t think I needed to [show it all] I fought with the director about it, and now I am bitter. I knew it was going to be on the Internet: ‘Mary-Louise shows off her big n***les.’ I wish I hadn’t done that. I was goaded into it."

Despite the regret that Parker may have felt towards that scene, she still bared it all for several other scenes in the series as well as the movies Let The Devil Wear Black, The Five Senses, and Grand Canyon.

18. Loved It - Julianne Moore

If we're being honest, there may not be an actress on our list that has dropped her wardrobe more than Julianne Moore. In fact, for her, it's gotten to the point that she is tired of people asking her about it.

"I think it is unfortunate that we have this incredible fascination with actors being [exposed], when in fact, it’s really not very important, and for the most part, it does have something to do with the film, I’ve done a lot of films and I’ve only taken my clothes off in a few but people can’t stop talking about it," she said in a past interview.

That was not the only time that Moore has opened up about baring it all. She's also gone on to say "The scariest thing to do for me, frankly, is to kiss an actor because that’s very intimate. People ask all the time if sex scenes are hard. What’s hard? Not the lines or the physicality, but the emotion.” Though we are sure plenty of people were left talking after the threesome that Moore engages with alongside Jennifer Gibson in Maps.

All of this means that if there is a future role for Moore where the character calls for some skin showing, definitely don't be surprised if you see more of her body!

17. Regrets It - Jessica Biel

Jessica Biel was getting pretty tired of playing the good girl on Seventh Heaven and by the time she was 18, was definitely ready to start exploring the raunchier side to her. So why not take your clothes off and pose for Gear magazine? It may have seemed like a great decision at the time, but Biel has later gone on to say she regretted the decision.

"That photoshoot was just a really bad decision on my part and I got myself involved with people who weren’t thinking about me and were instead thinking about what kind of a story they could get out of it. I learned a whole lot from the experience, so it was definitely a blessing in disguise,” she said.

Biel has also come out and said that she was shown and approved different photos than the final ones that ended up in the magazine, which as you can imagine would be pretty infuriating. Despite this Biel has elected to take it off on the big screen for the movie Powder Blue in which she takes her role to the pole.

16. Loved It - Emmy Rossum

For many of the women who decide to bare it all, one of the big factors behind it may be whether they feel it is appropriate for the role versus if it is just gratuitous with no value.

For Emmy Rossum who doesn't hesitate to show it all in Shameless, she definitely felt comfortable with the sexual elements of her character.

"I thought it suited the character. This is a very low-income family, they have very thin walls, they don't have money for entertainment, and this girl likes to have sex. For me to glamify her would be not realistic. I have a lot of control over what I want to show, when I want to show it and when I don't want to show it," she said in a past interview.

That last point about Rossum always feeling like she is still always able to be in control of the environment is integral to making sure that everyone stays comfortable and safe.

15. Regrets It - Pam Anderson

Pamela Anderson made a name for herself as being a sexy blonde bombshell that ran on some beaches and spent plenty of time lounging out in front of cameras without her clothes on. On top of various photos of Anderson having far too much to drink, showing off too much skin or having too much plastic surgery, you can imagine there are plenty of things for her two kids to get teased about. Anderson talked about just that experience, saying "When my kids became teenagers it was hard on them. They fought a few bullies and were teased some. I regret that anything I have ever done has made them uncomfortable or suffer. But our life is our life – we love each other – we are close – we have gone through a lot."

You can imagine at least that was some motivation for her kids to make sure they get to the gym!

14. Loved It  - Cameron Diaz

Cameron Diaz has definitely been open about the fact that she loves getting it on, including talking about how she doesn't mind if those sexual adventures leave the bedroom. So if she doesn't mind being in her birthday suit outdoors and has shown her body off in movies, it may stand to reason that Diaz is a pretty confident and sexually charged woman.

She further enforced that opinion with the following quote, "People have seen my butt. I've shown the top of my butt, the bottom of my butt. I'm not opposed to doing [these scenes], as long as it's part of the story. I'll do whatever has to get done if it's the right thing."

The quote was clearly taken before her role in Sex Tape, in which Diaz also chooses to lose her top for a scene that also features a little bit too much of Jason Segel's upper thigh.

13. Regrets It - Eva Green

Now let's get one thing really clear with Eva Green, there are definitely quite a few roles in which she lets her clothes drop to the floor. But don't for a second think that she always felt it was a great decision. When talking in an interview, Green said “I’ve been [exposed] in a film before and found it very troubling," but did not clarify which one of her roles it was.

Green also opened up about her feelings on the potential of baring more skin for her role in Casino Royale, in which she said, "I was quite glad not to be in this film. … In the shower scene, they wanted me to strip down to my panties. We had a good fight about that.”

You can imagine Green was happy she had to fight the director over that decision, and not Bond!

12. Loved It - Gigi Hadid

Gigi Hadid is one of the biggest models in the industry, but when she was getting her first big break in the industry, one of her first opportunities was working as the face and body of Velvet Orchid.

The decision led to Hadid removing her clothes for the photos which may have seemed overly racy, but Hadid was quick to defend the photoshoot, saying “Yes, I was [exposed] but [that look] works with fragrance! I’ve never been scared of being [without clothes] in pictures, but I wouldn’t do [it] for [no reason]. With Tom ([the designer], it was an easy decision."

You can imagine that Hadid has no shortage of opportunities at her disposal now which means that the next time you see her bare it all, you definitely know it was her decision that she was all in favor of!

11. Regrets It - Natalie Portman

Natalie Portman definitely does not have a ton of moments in her career in which she's elected to bare it all for the camera. One of the more prominent times was in Goya's Ghost in which her character is exposed and seen chained to a wall. Portman's issue with the movie was not necessarily the skin she showed, but that these scenes from the movie quickly made their way to online adult entertainment sites.

When talking about it, Portman said "[I] don’t really have regrets. It’s more that I don’t like misappropriation of stuff, like when you create something as part of a story and then a piece of it ends up on a [site like that]. It’s meant to be a dramatic scene and part of a story. That really makes me angry."

Portman also takes it off in the movie Hotel Chevalier but was reportedly very happy with her work in the movie.

10. Loved It - Emilia Clarke

Above you got to read about how Natalie Dormer felt comfortable walking around Westeros without wearing clothes, but any fan of the show also knows that Daenerys also conveniently seems to forget to cover herself at multiple parts in the series.

Naturally, Emilia Clarke has been asked her thoughts on this and she went on to say, "In drama, if a nude scene forwards a story or is shot in a way that adds insight into characters, I'm perfectly fine with it. Sometimes explicit scenes are required and make sense for the characters/story, as they do in Westeros. If it's gratuitous for gratuitous sake, then I will discuss with a director on how to make it more subtle. In either case, like a good Mother of Dragons, I'm always in control."

You can imagine that with the over the top amount of exposed skin that goes down in Westeros, the director always makes sure it is a comfortable filming environment.

9. Regrets It - Jessica Brown Findlay

Jessica Brown Findlay may be known for her role on Downton Abbey, but while she may have kept her clothes firmly intact for her duration on that show, she was not quite as lucky for the movie Albatross. Coming out in 2011, it was one of Findlay's first movies and in it, her character lifts up her shirt (revealing her breasts) in order to "prove her age" at a cash register.

When talking about the scene, Findlay said “To be honest, Albatross was naivete and not knowing that I could say 'no.' I had no idea what was going to happen and thought I was going to be shot from behind. It’s not something I would do again.”

Despite saying in that interview that Findlay would not be baring in all again, she did in fact also take off her top in the 2012 TV Mini-Series Labyrinth.

8. Loved It - Anne Hathaway

Anne Hathaway is no stranger to letting her costume hit the floor, but one of the biggest examples may be in the movie Love and Other Drugs that also starred Jake Gyllenhaal. When Jake was talking about the movie, he defended the liberal use of clothes on his and Hathaway's behalf, saying "It just so happened in order to tell the story right, we knew we'd have to be... intimate together, literally and figuratively. Now we have to deal with a lot of questions about how [exposed] we are in the movie, but the truth is… people [get in their birthday suit] when they're in love.”

Hathaway also talked about the scenes, saying "I don't get hung up on [it]. To me, it was just an extension of who she was. It was real."

7. Regrets It - Burt Reynolds

Burt Reynolds had plenty of roles in which he had every right to feel like the ultimate manly man. But one moment in which he probably felt quite vulnerable was posing bare on a bearskin rug with a cigarette in his mouth for Cosmopolitan back in April of 1972! Reynolds was the first male nude centerfold for the magazine, a title he does not proudly display on his mantle.

"I wish I hadn't done that. I really do. It was really stupid. I don't know what I was thinking. Probably, knowing me, it was like, 'You won't do that, you chicken,' or something and I went, 'Well, that's all I had to hear,' of course. I said, 'Yeah, I will," said Reynolds.

He went on to say, "The only rules I had was (sic) I wanted a lot drinks before because I was a little bit, well, I have to be truthful, I was totally zonkered (drunk) when we did the picture. And that stupid smile, that's what it is."

You can imagine that had to be some pretty good liquor to get Burt to bare it all on the bear!

6. Loved It - Katie Holmes

When Katie Holmes was first trying to break out from her role on Dawson's Creek, one of the big opportunities was in the movie The Gift which also featured Holmes showing off her exposed chest. It was a decision she defended at the time, and one she still defended when she was 35 (14 years later), saying "I have done it before when I was young, the right time to do it. But if the part called for it, sure, I'd do it again. I think people need to embrace themselves, their creativity and their bodies."

Perhaps Holmes gained some of her confidence to bare it all in future roles from Orange is the New Black which Holmes called one of her favorite shows and constantly features plenty of skin (including Laura Prepon, who appears below).

5. Regrets It - Kate Winslet

Kate Winslet has definitely bared it all for the camera several times, but no movie she has appeared in has been nearly as successful as Titanic (...though I mean, hard to blame her for that). The movie also included some famous scenes that show all of Winslet, who has since said, “I wish I hadn’t shown so much flesh but I was young and I knew I had things to prove.”

Winslet has also said she often gets requests to sign a photo of her from the movie from the scene where she is topless! "I don't sign that [picture]. It feels very uncomfortable. Why would you do that? People ask me to sign that [picture] a lot...I'm like, 'No! I didn't mean for it to be a photograph that I would end up still seeing 17 years later."

Winslet most recently bared it all for The Reader, a role that won her an Academy Award for Best Actress. When talking about the amount of skin she showed for that role, as well acting without clothes in a general sense. Winslet said, "I think I won’t do it again: A: I can’t keep getting away with it. And B: I don’t want to become "that actress who always gets her kit off."

We'll see if Winslet keeps her word, but one thing is for sure, there is definitely no shortage of roles from her past in which she's shown off her birthday suit!

4. Loved It - Laura Prepon

Not only does Laura Prepon need to show off every side of her in Orange is the New Black, but some of her scenes definitely get pretty steamy (including ones literally in a shower!). When she originally looked at the role, Prepon knew there would be plenty of exposure but when talking to the creator Jenji Kohan, she was able to soothe her nerves.

Prepon said in a past interview, "You walk around [without clothes] and it’s like ‘Whatever, we all have the same equipment.’ So we talked and she assured me it would never be gratuitous and whenever we’d do [these scenes] we’d talk about it and make sure it’s done in a way that I’ll be super comfortable. And it always has been.”

Prepon also defended the scenes as being huge for the plot, saying "The sex scenes with me and Piper, we were very specific. They were always done in a way that was very non-gratuitous, since their relationship is very intense and special. It’s beautiful because they love each other.”

3. Regrets It - Kim Kardashian

Wait, Kim Kardashian regretted taking her clothes off? Isn't that a little odd you say when you consider she still does it on a FAR too regular basis? Yet one of the biggest moments of Kim K's birthday suit career, when she posed for the white bunny in 2007, is also something she has said she regrets, explaining in 2010 "I’m sorry I did Playboy. I was uncomfortable," when talking to Access Hollywood.

Kim also went on to say that she felt immense pressure from her mom, Caitlyn, who said “They might never ask you again. Our show isn’t on the air yet. Do it and you’ll have these beautiful pictures to look at when you’re my age.”

There were some positives from it for Kim though, who said "I think the message is embrace your curves and who you are. I feel proud if young girls look up to me and say, ‘I’m curvy, and I’m proud of it now.’”

Something also tells us that Hefner still keeps her number in his rolodex!

2. Loved It - Margot Robbie

When Robbie made her big break in the movie industry with The Wolf of Wallstreet, part of the role just so happened to require some intimate scenes between herself and Leo DiCaprio. In real life there would definitely be moments of birthday skin partying, so you better believe Robbie made sure there was also plenty of skin showing in the movie.

In fact, there was a moment when filming Wolf in which Martin Scorsese suggested she wear a robe, but Robbie responded "I said she wouldn’t. She has to be [exposed]. She’s laying her cards on the table.”

She went on to talk about on-screen exposure, saying "I also think it’s disgusting when someone would have [lost clothes] in real life, in the film they conveniently leave their bra on or hold up the bed sheet. Seeing someone being choreographed into being covered up irritates me just as much," which would have happened had she thrown on some clothes.

If curious, Robbie also said in the interview, "If they’ve put it in just so that a girl gets her top off, then that’s disgusting. And you can always tell."

It is clear that if Robbie's character has some love making in any future role, there is a pretty good chance that we'll see even more of this amazing Aussie.

1. Regrets It - Anna McGahan

While you may not know the name Anna McGahan, you definitely might if you lived in Australia where McGahan was one of the leads in the series Underbelly: Razor. Running for 13 episodes, the series was set between 1927 and 1936 and saw McGahan take on the role of a street walker. Naturally, this type of profession leads to plenty of exposed skin, but for McGahan it was definitely something she wishes she handled differently, saying "I was naive. And in my naivety, I was not able to protect myself from an industry that did not consider itself responsible for me, or how my body was experienced and understood by a public audience. I had been told that I was brave. I had been told that the lighting was very beautiful. I had been told that it was tasteful. I had also been told that if I wanted to work as an actress, I had to be prepared to get my breasts out.”

McGahan has since come out and said while she respects actresses who do, she does not plan to appear in the buff again in films.
