Ancient creatures tend to capture our imaginations. Based on only fossil records, we try to discover all we can about animals that once roamed our planet. Few prehistoric animals inspire the kind of awe and fascination as the megalodon. We tend to think of them as just bigger versions of the great white shark, but you’ll see that these two sharks had a lot of differences. And even though they both swam the seas at the same time, it’s unlikely that they would have ever interacted with one another, which is probably a good thing for the great white! With gigantic mouths filled with hundreds of teeth, the megalodon was a fierce, apex predator with a hunting style that the great white would never be able to pull off.
