10 Ways Deadpool Would Make the MCU Even Better

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is a series of movies that all take place in the same world, where the superheroes all share in the same story and timeline of events. Sure, superheroes go off and have their own adventures and their own movies, but soon enough they’ll join forces for a bigger film such as the upcoming film Avengers: Infinity War or crossover into another hero’s story.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe was launched with the release of Ironman in 2008. Before that the Marvel movies had all been independent films or sequels based on a limited number of characters. In truth, Iron Man was it’s own independent film. Because of its success, later that year in an end credits scene of The Incredible Hulk Robert Downey Jr. made a cameo appearance, setting up the plot for future films. It was the first Marvel crossover and the MCU was born.

So why can’t all of the Marvel Comics superheroes crossover and join the MCU like they do in the comics? Fox owns the rights to X-Men, The Fantastic Four, and Deadpool (basically anything mutant), and Lionsgate owns the rights to The Punisher.

With Sony, Marvel and Disney successfully introducing Spider-Man into the MCU with Captain: America Civil War and Spider-Man: Homecoming, is there hope that characters like Deadpool will be able to join the MCU? We think so. Here are ten ways we think Deadpool would make the MCU even better.
