If you’re a frequent visitor of this site, you’ve no doubt seen close to every WWE woman get their own article filled with tons of pictures of them in the ring, at photo shoots, or just chilling at the beach. Those pictures are typically professionally done and while they look great, what about those random snapshots of the ladies backstage with their friends both past and present?
This collection will show off the WWE women in a more candid manner, whether they are on their own or in a big group like when the cast of Total Divas first started hanging out or AJ Lee showing off her newest merchandise. You’ll also see Stephanie McMahon’s displaying her MMA skills, real-life friends Trish and Lita hanging out, and some of the newest women from NXT that have barely appeared on TV!
So get your popcorn ready, this is a bigger than usual article, complete with plenty of never-seen-before pictures that you will no doubt love. So let’s get right to it, here are the thirty-five best behind the scenes pictures of WWE women (with a dash of Triple H and a pinch of Seth Rollins).
35. Paige Rockin’ A Title
One of the better NXT call-ups was when WWE had Paige go against AJ Lee in her first match, promptly (and very surprisingly) winning the title from AJ, who was an incredibly dominant champion at the time. Since then, she’s become easily one of WWE’s top draws with her no nonsense attitude and solid in-ring work. Lately, she’s been in the background, doing more for Total Divas, but that should change over the next few months when she gets a chance at some one-on-one feuds with people like Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch.
34. Face Off
Nothing better than an intense face-off before getting out to the ring and that’s exactly what’s going on here between Natalya and Nikki Bella. Even better is Eva Marie as the guest ref trying to hold back Natalya while staring Nikki down – keep some order Eva! Pro wrestling aside, the cleavage in this picture is off the charts, could those shirts/bras be any tighter; how can they breath comfortably?
33. Stairway To Heaven
Who is that you ask? Well, it will remain a mystery until the ending of this entry, just to make you actually read the words (down here!) for once. She actually liked this outfit so much that it was worn twice at two different events within a few days of each other. As a hint, she came out during the Slammys on Raw, receiving a huge pop from the crowd. Okay fine, it’s Nikki Bella, who else would rock fashionable gear like this?
32. The King Of Kings’ Bodyguards
When Triple H attempted to hold down the lovable Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania XXX, he wanted to make sure everyone took notice when he came to the ring: mission accomplished, Triple H. Not only did he come out in an elaborate outfit, but had three ladies accompany him to remove his entrance attire.
If you can’t tell by the picture, that’s Charlotte, Alexa Bliss, and Sasha Banks getting their first taste of WrestleMania. Fast-forward to today, Charlotte and Sasha Banks (along with Becky Lynch) just put on a fantastic match at WrestleMania 32, and Alexa Bliss is one of NXT’s best villains with her non-stop stank attitude.
Lillian Garcia can’t announce forever as she’s now (amazingly) forty-nine years old, so smartly, WWE is grooming their next ring announcer Eden Stiles, who is also Cody Rhodes/Stardust’s wife. Currently, she announces for SmackDown, Main Event, and their PPV Kickoff Shows, but it won’t be long until she’s announcing Raw and their PPVs full-time. She has great presence in the ring and a knack for fashion, which she talks about all the time on her personal website; in fact she’s consistently the best dressed woman on the entire roster.
30. Over 9000!
At WrestleMania 31, Ronda Rousey (who was at ringside) was surprisingly invited into the ring by The Rock to help him out when Stephanie McMahon slapped him and demanded he get out of her ring. After talking some trash with Steph, Ronda ended up judo tossing Triple H and putting Stephanie in a standing arm-lock before tossing her to the curb. In this picture, she’s hanging backstage with Paige and AJ Lee (who also teamed together on this show). Total deviation, does anyone have better abs than AJ Lee?
29. Pink Looks Good On You
Back in 2013, on an episode of Total Divas, Naomi was given the opportunity to be JET Magazine’s “Beauty of the Week” which included a ton of promotion and her own bikini photo shoot. As happy as she was to be asked, finding proper bikinis that fit (thanks to her curves) became quite stressful for the former Funkadactyl. Even if you’re not a fan of the show, this one is worth checking out, for obvious reasons.
28. The Four Horsewomen
Also known as Becky Lynch, Sasha Banks, Charlotte, and Bayley, they are the group that will help usher the women’s division into a new era of incredible in-ring work. It’s taken a while, but WWE is slowly moving away from the petty drama, gimmick matches, and “bathroom break” attitude that women wrestlers have received for decades.
These four have already put on fantastic matches in NXT, but they will soon be doing the same on the main roster, entertaining a much larger audience. The only person still in NXT is Bayley, but she recently dropped the title to Asuka, which means her time there is coming to an end.
27. Stephanie McMahon Via Submission
For once, we see Stephanie doing something other than slapping people in the face, here she’s with former WWE Divas champion Eve Torres. Eve is married to Rener Gracie (yes, that Gracie family) and is a blue belt in Jiu-Jitsu, while also instructing a self-defense class for women for the Gracie Academy. Even though she’s retired from in-ring work, Eve is still a “WWE Ambassador” who does media appearances and once in awhile shows up in backstage segments for the company.
26. Dana Brooke Hangs With The Game
Before teaming up with Emma on NXT, Dana Brooke spent years as not only a gymnast, but working her way into fitness competitions and bodybuilding. She participated in International Federation of Body Building & Fitness competitions, as well at the Arnold Classic & Sports Festival. This picture with Triple H was most likely taken around 2013 when WWE took interest in her skills and decided to sign her to NXT in the same year. Working back from injury, she’s looking to get back to the top of the women’s division in 2016.
25. Fabulous, Indeed
Carmella is a charming happy-go-lucky Staten Island girl, who wants nothing more than to look awesome and become the NXT woman’s champion. She typically is with Cass and Enzo, but with them potentially staying on the main roster, she looks to be going solo for the time being. She’s built a nice fan following and should be the perfect replacement for Bayley when she eventually moves up, even though Carmella started as a heel, she’s a true babyface through and though.
24. Longest Reigning Champion
Only a few days ago the Divas title was retired and back came the Woman’s title (which looks similar to the WWE World Heavyweight title but with a red/white combo and it looks great) to help cement the change the woman’s division is going through. Previously, Nikki became the longest reigning Divas title champion as she dominated the competition for basically all of 2015, while also improving all aspects of her game, especially in the ring with a better moveset and logical ring psychology.
23. Total Divas Early Days
In early 2013 E! began production of a WWE reality show that basically followed the WWE women around, putting them in usually stupid stories, with a few random nuggets of gold mixed in along the way. This photo is an early shot of most of the season one lineup including Cameron, Brie, Nikki, Natalya, JoJo, and Naomi. The show is in its fifth season with Brie, Nikki, and Natalya still in the main cast and Naomi as a guest role. After a few seasons Cameron was phased out and JoJo was so boring, she only lasted one season before getting bounced.
22. The Ice Queen
At WrestleMania 31, Rusev rode out on his awesome tank to take on John Cena, while Lana walked down the long ramp, title over her shoulder with soldiers at her side. Lana has always been one of WWE’s finest dressers and this night was no exception with the all white suit jacket and skirt. Lana made her in-ring debut just two days ago at WrestleMania 32 in a losing effort against Team Total Divas. Totally unrelated, but that blurry faced goon in the background is Baron Corbin.
21. The Ultimate Kaitlyn
One-time Divas Champion Kaitlyn worked for the WWE from 2010 until 2014, working her way up from developmental to the third season of NXT (when it was more of a reality show, rather than the promotion it is today). She was not initially supposed to be on the show, but was a replacement for another woman; it was a good pick, as she became popular with the fans and ended up winning the whole thing. Here she’s given a sexy spin to WWE Hall of Famer, The Ultimate Warrior.
20. The Champs
Back in 2013, NXT held a tournament to determine their first NXT Women’s champion, which Paige eventually won by defeating Emma in the finals. Along the way, AJ Lee won the Divas title and once in awhile made an appearance in NXT as an opponent for some of the younger women on the roster. Paige and AJ (who eventually became real life buddies) took a picture together showing off their respective titles. Paige eventually bested AJ for her own title, which forced Paige to forfeit the NXT title soon after.
19. Bayley’s Gonna Hug You
If you’ve been living under a rock, Bayley’s gimmick largely includes giving people hugs, even her finisher is called the Bayley-to-Belly Suplex where she initially hugs them, then slams them down to the mat. Well, it only made sense to build merchandise around the hugs, hence the shirts. With her is Becky Lynch and (real-life best buddy) Carmella.
Carmella is typically hanging out with the popular tag team Cass and Enzo, but she herself has become one of the more likeable faces in the woman’s division. It’s clear hanging out with Bayley all the time has rubbed off on her and how she currently performs.
18. Fresh Faces
Unless you’re really into NXT, you may have zero idea who these two are. Well, the one of the left goes by Aliyah and on the right is Liv Morgan. Aliyah has a not so over-the-top Princess Jasmine from Aladdin vibe going on, while Liv comes from Elmwood Park, NJ with more of a down and dirty attitude. Both still work mostly house shows, but Liv has been involved in a few squash matches on TV, while Aliyah has only been in a battle royal that decided the number one contender for the NXT Woman’s title.
17. Emma and Dana Brooke – The Dynamic Duo
Emma has had one of the more turbulent rides since being hired by the WWE. First in NXT, she was expected to help change around the women’s division on the main roster, but wasn’t brought up as fast as expected. Then when she made it, they pigeonholed her as Santino Marella’s girlfriend and it all went downhill from there. Actually, she was arrested for stealing (went through self-checkout, didn’t pay for an iPad case) from a Wal-Mart, was promptly fired, then re-hired by the WWE. After being on the sidelines, she was sent back to NXT to work out a totally new “evil” gimmick, which she did, and is now back on the main roster, hopefully for good.
16. Besties For Life
Two of the most popular women’s wrestlers in the history of pro wrestling just so happen to be good buddies in real life, they’ve even had signing tours together, that’s how close they still are these days. While Lita changed the game when it came to in-ring risks, Trish went on to be the most popular women’s wrestler in a generation, winning the Women’s championship seven times, second only to Fabulous Moolah, who had ten.
15. Hey There
Sometimes a photo just catches your eye; this is one of them, not exactly sure where or what Paige was doing here, but it was most likely in between working a WWE photo shoot. Even though the division is moving away from this sort of thing, she still likes to spice up her matches with some sexiness, typically by slowly climbing on her fallen opponent while going for a pin. Ms. “This is My House” remains one of WWE’s top draws with over four million followers between Instagram and Twitter.
14. Team BAE
Nothing like unintentionally wearing the same thing as your best friend – take a picture! This was when Becky Lynch first joined up with NXT and teamed with Sasha Banks forming Team BAE (Best at Everything). The duo only lasted for three months, but was incredibly popular with the fans both on TV and on social media with pictures like this. Eventually, the title came between the two and they had to split up to go after what they truly wanted.
13. Coming Up In WWE
Even though AJ showed up to WWE’s development a few months before Kaitlyn, the two formed a tight bond over the years not only training together, but appearing on NXT (Season 3), as well as the main roster. Known as “The Chickbusters,” Kaitlyn and AJ worked together (typically losing) for a period of time before going solo.
Kaitlyn’s best matches usually came against AJ thanks to the size difference and AJ’s awesome selling ability, the two feuded for the title a few times, as well. Kaitlyn eventually decided to walk away from the wrestling business and her last match was against AJ, who gave her a big hug mid-match (only as a distraction though) quickly pinning her good buddy.
12. Rebel Socks
Spiky hat with rebel socks, here is Nikki during the early days of the Bella brand split. She wasn’t rocking her own “Fearless” brand quite yet, but she began wearing different things to separate herself from her sister Brie. Fans absolutely hated the hat she wore, but as a heel, that’s the point right? Plus, it was just a foreshadowing to how much different kind of merchandise she would have on WWE Shop in the future, now she’s got “Fearless” flip-flops for sale!
11. Tough Enough
This is Mandy Rose, who is from the most recent (and terribly done) season of Tough Enough. She was the runner-up to the wildly popular Sara Lee, who had a “girl next door” look and personality that fans gravitated towards as the season rolled along. Even though Mandy lost, she was picked up to join the Total Divas roster, eventually making her way over to NXT to start working their house shows. She has yet to appear on TV, but with some more work in the ring she should be a solid addition in 2017.
10. Struttin’ Their Stuff
Here is Eva Marie and Nikki Bella, two women who have been on Total Divas since the beginning. For Nikki she’s become one of (if not the) most recognized woman on the roster, while Eva has built up so much hatred over the years, she’s becoming the biggest heel in NXT. Nikki has been out for months with a potentially career-ending neck injury, while Eva has finally taken pro wrestling seriously by working full-time in NXT, when she’s not taping for Total Divas.
9. Backstage Shot
A great shot of Emma (while she was on the main roster), Natalya, and Naomi backstage during a live event. This looks to be during the era of Naomi moving away from the whole Funkadactyl gimmick and becoming her own person, going through about one hundred different outfit choices along the way. Her pants with the openings down the sides were a nice touch, but unfortunately didn’t last too long before she moved on to another outfit choice.
8. The Bellas
Finally, just a shot of just the sisters making their way to the ring with Brie rocking her husband’s (Daniel Bryan) shirt and Nikki wearing all pink for the occasion. Usually, Nikki has the more eye catching outfit, but have to say in this one it’s a tougher pick. Recently, Brie retired from wrestling to join her husband and to start a family. Nikki continues to recover from a neck injury and may return sometime in the future to start dropping fools with that nasty forearms of hers.
7. Group Shot
In the early days of NXT, WWE tried to send a lot of there veterans to help mentor the newer wrestlers, AJ Lee spent some time with the women, helping them figure out what will make them successful on the main roster. In this shot is a pre-Boss Sasha Banks, Paige, AJ, Emma, and Summer Rae. Sasha was still figuring out her gimmick receiving some help from Summer Rae as they formed the BFFs (Beautiful Fierce Females), a solid heel stable that ran rough shot over NXT.
6. Lookin’ Fly
For nearly her entire career Naomi has been a face, she just has a naturally nice demeanor and fans seemed to take note of this over the years. Then out of nowhere she brutally attacked Paige, effectively turning heel and going in a brand new direction with her character. She then formed Team B.A.D. with Sasha Bank and Tamina, which allowed her to wear a whole new style of clothing including what you see here. Obviously, this isn’t wrestling attire, but there were plenty of times when she would just be ringside in something similar to this. Pretty sure she has those leggings in about ten different colors and they all look spectacular on her!
5. The Black Widow
Someone who truly grew up being a wrestling fan, WWE can’t help but play that video of AJ meeting Lita, crying at the sight of her hero. AJ had a natural charisma that helped capture fans right from the start and over time she learned how to sell better than anyone else in the division. Along the way she got her own merchandise and action figures, which she genuinely seemed to be moved by when they were first brought to her. Unfortunately, she bounced from pro wrestling at only 28 to try new ventures like helping animals, being in a Madden commercial, and writing her own memoir, which should be out early next year.
4. Trish & Mickie
The idol and the obsessed fan are together again, thanks to Trish’s dark hair, this picture was definitely taken since her departure from WWE. Even years after their classic feud, which culminated at WrestleMania 22, both wrestlers still look fantastic. Since those days, Trish has started up her own Yoga empire in Canada complete with her own studio and merchandise, while Mickie still wrestles from time to time while also pursuing her country music career.
3. Renee & Rollins
Mean muggin’ for the camera, Renee Young is joined by former WWE World Heavyweight champion Seth Rollins. White must had been the “in” color at the time, which was possibly around SummerSlam when Rollins showed up in his Power Rangers-esque outfit. Young has been a fan favorite almost since the beginning of her time with WWE, a stellar pre-show host who has a way with the wrestlers in backstage interviews. She comes across as knowledgeable with appropriate reactions to anything wrestlers throw at her.
2. Stone Cold and Lita
Two of the greats pose together at (most likely) a WrestleMania event from a few years back. Lita wasn’t often in a dress, so to get a picture of her in one is pretty rare. She typically was found wearing baggy pants with an exposed thong during her Hardy Boys days or wearing low-cut shirts (leaving nothing to the imagination) while managing Edge. Austin and Lita had only one match against each other in 2001 when Lita teamed up with Matt and Jeff Hardy to fight Austin, Triple H, and Stephanie McMahon (Lita won).
1. AJ Wins The Title
Well, the old saying of “a picture says a thousand words” is pretty clear with this final photo of AJ Lee holding the title as champion for the first time. With absolutely joy on her face, AJ looks to be on the verge of tears because she finally achieved a dream that took over six years to achieve. She would go on to win the title two more times for a combined 406 days, the most of any champion.
