10 WWE Divas We Forgot Were Hot (And 5 We Want To Forget)

Sports

WWE Divas have been on our TVs for almost two decades now. In fact, WWE Divas have always been involved in the WWE, even when they weren’t named “WWE Divas.” There have been divas that were so hot we were barely able to focus on their in-ring abilities, but rather focus on well, other things. However, there have been some other ladies in the WWE who we’d rather not remember…

Right now the WWE is filled with talented women that come equipped with a dangerous mix of beauty, brains, and brawn. The WWE has Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch, Naomi, Charlotte, Bayley, Natalya, The Bella Twins, Eva Marie, Alicia Fox, Alexa Bliss and the list goes on. There have been so many attractive talented WWE Divas that we tend to forget some of the beauties that have set foot and made their mark in the WWE. Then again, there are also those WWE Divas who we’d rather not see again. Not to say those Divas weren’t “hot” (they weren’t but bear with me here) so much as while they were in the WWE they didn’t really do much during their tenure. So let us all remember some of the hottest WWE Divas that used to parade around the WWE and let’s also remember those who we’d rather not see again.

15. Forgot Was Hot: Terri Runnels aka Marlena

In the mid-90s you had the beginnings of what would become a movement within the confines of the WWE. There were two managers that were incredibly hot and had an aura about them that brought attention to them and the wrestlers they managed. One was obviously Sunny, and the other was Terri Runnels, aka Marlena. Marlena was Goldust’s sultry and seductive manager. She debuted at the 1996 Royal Rumble. She constantly wore (tight) gold dresses with dolled up blonde hair, and was always smokin’ that long cig.

Terri, who was also married to Dustin Rhodes in real life, was vital in the development of Goldust’s character. Runnels eventually moved from Goldust and was in a stable called PMS (Pretty Mean Sisters) along with Jacqueline and Ryan Shamrock. Runnels was also played a key part in launching then young tag teams The Hardy Boyz and Edge & Christian in their famous “Terri Invitational” Tag Team Ladder match, in which the winner (The Hardy Boyz) earned Terri’s managerial services. Ms. Runnels was one of the hottest and most important Divas during the Attitude Era.

14. Forgot Was Hot: Eve Torres

Eve Torres? Yup. Remember her? You should, but if you don’t you’ll be reminded of how hot she was. She used to dance for the LA Clippers and she was also on TV shows like Show Me The Money and Deal or No Deal. Torres won the 2007 Diva Search and ended having a very solid WWE career. She flaunted her rockin’ bod on WWE Televised bikini contests and eventually became a wrestler on the roster.

Eve feuded with Michelle McCool, Layla, and Natalya. Eve also managed Cryme Tyme and Chris Masters along with holding titles of “Executive Administrator” for Raw and Smackdown and eventually the Assistant General Manager of Smackdown. The blazin’ Diva was the first to win the Divas championship three times. Eve hasn’t totally left the WWE…She’s been serving as an “ambassador” for the promotion ever since 2014. Nowadays Eve focuses on her Gracie Women Empowered self-defense program and she has appeared in TV shows such as Matador and the popular CW show Supergirl.

13. We Want To Forget: Jillian Hall

Ugh. Not only was Jillian Hall annoying, she was completely forgettable. Okay, her gimmick as a crappy singer back in the late 2000s was supposed to be cringe-worthy but if that’s the most memorable aspect of a WWE career, than maybe not much else needs to be said. She DID release an album called A Jingle With Jillian back in 2007, so there’s no doubt that she got over with that character…But if we were to construct a list of top 20 WWE Divas there’s a significant chance that Jillian simply doesn’t make the list. Was she hot? You be the judge. She was blonde with big boobs, which always seems to garner attention. Believe it or not, she won the WWE Divas Championship (for one night), but if we were to take a poll there’s a fair chance that many would most likely overlook that aspect of her career.

12. Forgot Was Hot: The Kat

Remember this Diva? The Kat in the grand scheme of things didn’t all too much but her short time in the WWE was during the WWE’s hottest period, the Attitude Era. The Kat (real name Stacy Carter), was briefly married to Jerry “The King” Lawler. The Kat made her WWE debut as Miss Kitty, posing as WWE Diva and “puppies” queen Debra’s assistant. She’s best known for flashing what Jerry Lawler would love to call, “puppies” during Armageddon back in 1999. The moment happened after the WWF Women’s Championship in a match called the “Four Corners Evening Gown” pool match. The Kat stripped out of her dress and flashed the audience. This moment can obviously be found on the WWE Network, though there’s no question that’s it’s definitely censored. However, The Kat is a definite reminder of a very different and what many would call an edgier WWE.

11. We Want To Forget: Jackie Gayda

Jackie Gayda…We remember her, but I’m not sure we want to. Jackie showed immense promise, winning Tough Enough 2, and showing up on Raw, Smackdown, and WWE Velocity. Gayda might have been in one of the worst televised matches in WWE History. Jackie and Chris Nowinski went up against Trish Stratus and Bradshaw on a Monday Night Raw in 2002…Let’s just say the actual match didn’t go as planned…Jackie f’d up multiple moves, including botching a second rope bulldog from Trish. Unsurprisingly, Jackie went back OVW for more training. She was able to be featured at Mania XX in a tag match with Stacy Keibler against Sable and Wilson. Gayda eventually had tenures with TNA and was on the independent circuit…She did however return to the WWE for one night in the 25 Diva Battle royal at WrestleMania XXV; that came and went didn’t it? I don’t think anyone is clamoring for Jackie Gayda to return to the WWE anytime soon…

10. Forgot Was Hot: Christy Hemme

Christy Hemme was in the WWE back in 2004 and 2005 and was definitely one of the hotter Divas the WWE had at the time. She won the 2004 WWE Diva Search. Christy Hemme feuded with the Diva Search runner up Joy Giovanni. The two had a lingerie pillow fight at Taboo Tuesday back in 2004. Hemme posed in Playboy in 2005, which served as the catalyst for a feud with WWE Hall of Famer and a Diva we all fondly remember for being one of if not the hottest diva of all time, Trish Stratus. The two had their payoff match at WrestleMania 21; Hemme lost. Christy began feuding with Victoria and participated in random feuds and storylines before eventually leaving the WWE. Hemme went to TNA 2006 where she managed The Rock ‘n Rave Infection, performed as a full time wrestler for a number of years, and eventually returned as a ring announcer before leaving in 2016.

9. Forgot Was Hot (Sorta): Torrie Wilson

Okay, obviously we remember Torrie Wilson. But I don’t think we really remember Torrie Wilson. Does that make sense? Hopefully it will because Torrie Wilson is easily one of the hottest WWE Divas and hottest women of wrestling, period. She had that classic “blonde bombshell” look and being a Valet for The Nature Boy Ric Flair certainly wasn’t a bad gig either. Wilson, who went out with Billy Kidman, was one of the WCW leftovers brought over the invasion storyline in 2001. Torrie’s in-ring career contested of a bunch of “bra and panties” matches and other matches involving the shedding of clothes, but that’s largely because of the era she was in. Wilson was quickly viewed as one of the hottest Divas on the roster, and had no issues with flaunting her womanly gifts. Torrie was featured on the May 2003 cover of Playboy and also engaged in a steamy storyline with Sable. Wilson later went on to become one of “Vince’s Devils” before eventually leaving the WWE by 2009.

8. Forgot Was Hot: Maria Kanellis

Not only was Maria Kanellis hot, she was probably one of the hottest WWE Divas ever. No, I’m not exaggerating. Maria was in the WWE for a solid 6 years and was engaged on WWE TV on a consistent basis. The former WWE Diva first started in the 2004 Diva search where she placed 5th and lost to Christy Hemme. The red haired hottie didn’t fret as she was hired as a backstage announcer and went on to become one of the premiere Divas on the roster. She may not have competed in championship matches as much as her Hall of Fame peers Lita and Trish, but Maria still managed to be a part of several WWE storylines, including an on-screen relationship with Santino Marella. Maria was also able to catapult herself to some mainstream limelight, posing for Playboy in 2008 and being featured in the 9th season of Celebrity Apprentice.

7. We Want To Forget: Tori

The WWE tried to make Tori happen, but it just didn’t. She made her debut has Sable’s obsessed fan. They started a feud that led to a championship match at WrestleMania XV. Tori was also in the first ever WWE women’s hardcore match. Fans of the Attitude Era will remember Tori being Kane’s girlfriend along with being a member of D-Generation X at one point. Tori had a brief stint as “The Black Ninja” where she feuded with Molly Holly, only to eventually be removed from WWE storylines altogether. Tori, real name Terri Poch, managed to work as a trainer on the first season of WWE Tough Enough before getting released by the WWE later in 2001. Tori was involved in some key mid-card storylines within the Attitude Era and yet it’s safe to assume that this WWE diva isn’t that missed, if at all.

6. Forgot Was Hot: Ryan Shamrock

Remember Ryan Shamrock? She didn’t do too much within the WWE, but she’s so hot that she definitely made a lasting impact despite her brief tenure. Ryan Shamrock (real name, Alicia Nicole Webb) made her WWE debut in 1999 as the younger sister of WWE superstar and UFC legend Ken Shamrock. Ryan was used as the ignition for a storyline between the WWE’s resident pornstar Val Venis and Ryan’s “brother” who interfered after he saw the “big valboski” flirting with his “sis.” It turned out that Ryan knew Val Venis VERY well, appearing in Val’s fictitious adult film “Shaving Ryan’s Privates.” Crash TV storylines such as this were commonplace during the Attitude Era and Ryan’s character was perfect for it. Ryan eventually joined the lady-stable PMS for couple of months before being released. However, make no mistake about it, once you remind yourself about how hot Ryan Shamrock was, you’ll realize how hot she really was.

5. Forgot Was Hot: Candice Michelle

Candice Michelle was one of the key WWE Divas during the Ruthless Aggression Era of the company. We may have forgotten about Candice, but it won’t take long to be reminded of her hotness. Candice was one of “Vince’s Devils” and is the first WWE Diva search contestant to win the WWE Women’s Championship. Michelle, a former GoDaddy girl who was featured in those GoDaddy Girl Super Bowl commercials back in the day, also posed for Playboy back in 2006.

Candice also dabbled in acting before she was prominently featured on WWE programming. Candice was featured in shows like 7th Heaven and Party of Five and movies such as Anger Management, A Man Apart, and Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story. The smokin’ hot WWE Diva was also on the “Skinemax” show Hotel Erotica. Candice went through an unfortunate injury streak, breaking her clavicle, tearing scar tissue, and re-breaking her clavicle on route to making subsequent appearances in the late 2000s and eventually being released by the summer of 2009.

4. We Want To Forget: Aksana

Aksana (real name: Zivile Raudoniene) had a rockin’ body…In fact, she had been a bodybuilder since she was a teenager. She made her WWE debut during the lady-centric season of NXT back in 2010. She ended up accompanying Goldust on her main roster debut at Bragging Rights. Aksana went through various (and rather forgettable) storylines before eventually heading to Smackdown where she had various interactions with Smackdown General Manager Theodore Long. The only real notable thing she did was be associated with Cesaro when he made his WWE debut back in 2012…She also joined with Alicia Fox, Layla, and AJ Lee as they launched attacks on cast members of Total Divas. Aksana and Alicia Fox formed a short lived tag team called “Foxsana.” Aksana was eventually released from the WWE in 2014 and now apparently lives in Florida. Yet another WWE Diva who while not totally bad, was one that we’d rather forget in the grand scheme of things.

3. Forgot Was Hot (Kind Of): Sunny

Well, we haven’t really forgotten, as much as we might need to be reminded of how hot Sunny was. Considering where the WWE Hall of Famer is at these days, it might not be a bad exercise. Sunny made her (true) WWE debut in 1995 as the manager for The Bodydonnas. In 1996 she was AOL’s most downloaded woman of the year and she also won Pro Wrestling Illustrated’s Manager of the Year Award. Sunny may not have had the biggest in-ring career, but her tenure as a manager – and a very hot one at that – marked a different direction for the WWE Divas in the mid-90s and definitely in the beginning of the Monday Night Wars.

Sunny also managed Faarooq (before he formed the Nation of Domination) and LOD 2000, where she showed up in a rather “fiery” get-up and accompanied the iconic tag team as they won the number one contendership for the tag team titles at WrestleMania XIV. Sunny left the company before appearing at the 15th Anniversary of Monday Night Raw and participating in the 25 Diva Battle Royal at WrestleMania XXV. She was inducted in the WWE HOF in 2011.

2. We Want To Forget: Rosa Mendes

Rosa Mendes (real name Milena Roucka) made her WWE debut in 2006 and let us all just be honest with each other. Did she REALLY do anything special while she was in the WWE? Anyway, she was Beth Phoenix’s intern and went between Raw, Smackdown, and ECW brands between 2009 and 2011. Mendes eventually became the manager of Primo & Epico; the team eventually won tag team gold.

Rosa eventually became a main cast member on E!’s hit reality series Total Divas. You would think with all of that notoriety that she would be a more memorable WWE Diva, but let’s be honest with ourselves, do we really want to remember Rosa Mendes? Yeah, she’s living a great life and she’s probably a very nice woman and obviously very successful, but damn, she might have one of the most forgettable careers for the WWE Diva that we’ve seen in a while. Too harsh?

1. Forgot Was Hot: Debra

As Jerry “The King” Lawler would always yell and freak out about whenever she appeared on screen, “PUPPIES!” Want to take a two big guesses as to what he was talking about? Yeah…you’ll figure it out. Debra was known for being married to Super Bowl Champion and ’85 bears defensive tackle Steve McMichael. Debra enjoyed a solid stint in WCW with her then husband, before getting divorced in 1998. Debra made her WWE Debut in 1998 as the manager of Jeff Jarrett, sporting her now trademark cleavage inducing tight business suit. Debra would distract Jarrett’s opponents by unbuttoning her top to show off her “puppies.” Debra wasn’t really known for her wrestling skills but as we all can see she didn’t have to be…Debra eventually got married to “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and served as the “Lieutenant Commissioner” for then commissioner Mick Foley in 2001. Many forget that Debra was forced to be the manager of The Rock during their famous road to WrestleMania in 2001, only to be essentially written off as an afterthought in the feud. Debra left WWE TV following her then husband’s departure from the company in 2002. Debra and Austin divorced in 2003.
