Even if you don’t pay much attention to global events, you most likely know about some of the most notorious and deadly cartels out there. South America is the hotspot for smuggling and trafficking various substances, and there have been several kingpins throughout history who have solidified themselves as dangerous and armed. And they just happened to also have some kids. So here is our list of 15 drug lord kids who live like kings. While a lot of them are of adult age by now, that doesn’t mean that they don’t still act like spoiled little kids.
We have the children of Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman, one of the most dangerous threats to Mexico and the United States DEA. He has had multiple partners which have resulted in a lot of kids. And they are all spoiled rotten with their father’s blood money. We also have the children of Ismael Zambada and Enrique Plancarte of Colombia. While Mexico and Colombia are the two most well-known countries that deal with deadly drug cartels, the United States also has some names in the drug business. Just take Frank Lucas, who was sentenced to 70 years in prison for his inclusion and leadership in one of the largest drug rings in Harlem, New York.
So, what is it like to be the son or daughter of a drug lord? Well, you get exotic pets, such as lions, tigers, and chimps. Or if you want a unicorn, you get a horse with a horn and wings stapled to it. We aren’t joking.
15. Cesar Guzman
Cesar Guzman is one of the sons of Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman, who is perhaps the biggest threat in the Mexican cartel right now. Taking a look at Cesar’s lifestyle, one can see that he is making bank on his father’s trafficking business. Cesar is no stranger to pet tigers, handgun accessories, and loads of cash money. The offspring of kingpins seriously adore automobiles, so having a Lamborghini, Ferrari, and Bugatti is just a given. As you are going to learn, Cesar is actually just one of El Chapo’s many kids, but he didn’t miss out on the goods. Talk about living like a king!
14. Ivan Archivaldo Guzman
Known as “El Chapito,” Ivan Archivaldo Guzman is another son of El Chapo’s. It looks as though Ivan is walking straight in his father’s footsteps. He has been spotted by authorities at the United States – Mexican border while trying to smuggle a number of different substances. Clearly, Ivan has earned his nickname as El Chapito, but that means that this guy is seriously dangerous. He is also living one of the most lavish lifestyles we have ever seen. Often seen flaunting his cash, multiple cars, and exotic pets on Instagram and Twitter, he is living large indeed. But is he going to seem so confident if he’s in handcuffs?
13. Jesus Alfredo Guzman
Oops! It looks as though Jesus Alfredo Guzman made a huge mistake when he took to Twitter and accidentally let some pertinent information slip. This was probably while he was bragging about being a high and mighty narco-billionaire. He let loose the secret location of a fugitive, and you better believe that the police were hot on the trail. Jesus Alfredo is yet another son of El Chapo’s, and it looks like maybe he is not the brightest of the bunch. Along with his brother Ivan Archivaldo, Jesus Alfredo is one of the main names in the cartel business.
12. Edgar Guzman
Killed in an assassination in the spring of 2008 that was probably instigated by Ismael Zambada, Edgar Guzman was one of the many sons of El Chapo. Part of the Sinaloa Mexican drug cartel, Edgar was always in harm’s way. That is just the way of life for these lords and their families. While he was alive, he was living the good life with luxury cars and items, bejeweled assault weapons, and so much money that he could use it to wipe his rear end. His death is just a harsh look at the reality of what it is like to live in this dangerous and unforgiving world.
11. Joaquin Guzman Jr.
As you would guess, Joaquin Guzman Jr. is the son of El Chapo as well. And of course, he has a hand in the same business as his father. Judging by his social media profiles, we can see that he is relishing the fact that he can sit back and enjoy the money that continues to come flowing in. Joaquin is no stranger to the life of jewel-encrusted handguns, bazookas and extravagant parties, luxury automobiles, and chaining tigers up to his front lawn (which is probably adorned with a statue of the Virgin of Guadalupe, go figure). The question is whether he’ll end up like his brother, Edgar.
10. Sebastian Marroquin
Sebastian Marroquin is the son of Pablo Escobar, who is one of the most notorious and talked-about kingpins in the history of Colombia. So you can bet that Sebastian probably has a pretty lofty ego, and lots of cash kicking around. Left only with his father’s watch after he was killed, Sebastian (in a very Godfather-like style) said that he would seek revenge on whoever assassinated his dad. But instead, he and his surviving family members fled to Argentina, where Sebastian adopted his new name, and actually a new life. Despite his earlier statement, he has tried to distance himself from his dad and prefers to live a more peaceful life as an architect.
9. Melissa Plancarte
We finally have a female on our list and it is Melissa Plancarte, who is the daughter of the infamous Enrique Plancarte. After her father’s death, Melissa continued to cash in on his legacy in the cartel Knights Templar. Melissa even tried to have a pop singing career, but once she started to get some recognition, it was discovered that she was linked to Knights Templar, and well, that didn’t go well. In 2015, Melissa gave birth to a daughter, and we are sure that her child will be just as spoiled as her mother is. Shame factor: 0.
8. Enrique Plancarte Jr.
Brother to Melissa Plancarte, Enrique is the son of the late Enrique “Kiki” Plancarte, leader of Knights Templar. While his father is now dead and gone, perhaps Enrique Jr. will step up to be the next head honcho. One thing is certain: he and his sister are not afraid to flaunt their riches on social media for all to see. A look at their Instagram and Twitter accounts will show you what it is like to live off of your father’s drug money (also known as blood money). Chimpanzees in the front seat of your Ferrari? Check. Handguns and weapons emblazoned with your monogram? Yep. Enough money to swim in? Unfortunately, yes.
7. Serafin Zambada
At just 25 years of age, who knows what Serafin Zambada is capable of? He is still young and agile and thanks to being the son of Ismael “El Mayo” Zambada, he has a lot of power and influence. Serafin’s dad was one of the most notorious cartel leaders in South America, and Serafin actually ended up marrying the daughter of another leader. So it looks like this is all one big family operation and Serafin is there to stay. Even so, in late 2013, Serafin was detained and arrested by officers of the DEA for trafficking various illegal substances.
6. Vicente Zambada Niebla?
Vicente Zambada Niebla is also known as “El Vicentillo” and he is the rich son of Ismael Zambada. He belongs to the Sinaloa cartel in Mexico and was arrested in the spring of 2009 and sentenced to a court trial in the United States. He was nabbed for smuggling copious amounts of substances. Like, really huge amounts; so much so that the total cost was more than a billion dollars. With his plea deal, he is looking at a $4 million fine and a decade in prison. So much for his posh lifestyle now, huh?
5. Alejandrina Gisselle Guzman
One of the daughters of El Chapo, Alejandrina Gisselle sure does love to flaunt her riches and digs. From the huge mansion that she lives in, to the skimpy outfits paired with larger-than-life bazooka guns, she has an attitude that clearly matches the defiance of her famous cartel father. Alejandrina was actually deported back to Mexico after being tried in U.S. court for staying in the country under a fake visa. Alejandrina seems to think that she can get away with just about anything, and with all of the dollar signs attached to her namesake, she’s probably not wrong.
4. Ovidio Guzman
He is one of the “Chapitos,” along with his two brothers, Ivan Archivaldo, and Jesus Alfredo. Needless to say, they have followed in their father’s footsteps and are now some of the most wanted members of a drug cartel in Mexico. The DEA is constantly hot on their trail for the trafficking of narcotics and the laundering of funds. Ovidio is the youngest of the “Chapitos” and has also managed to more easily elude the police. For the past few years, he has been keeping a low profile, probably by staying occupied with his expensive toys and his luxury vehicles.
3. Griselda Guadalupe Guzman
Griselda Guadalupe Guzman is the daughter of El Chapo, and besides having a name full of alliteration, she is also decked out with everything she could ever want. Yes, the drug kingpin lifestyle that her father earned has been filtered down to her and her siblings, and she loves to bask in it. With short skirts, selfies laden with guns and assault weapons, and the hottest luxury cars on the market, Griselda has no problem showing off her riches. It’s too bad her sister, Alejandrina Gisselle, was nabbed by the DEA and the United States authorities for using a false passport.
2. Francine Lucas-Sinclair
As the daughter of Harlem drug lord Frank Lucas, Francine Lucas-Sinclair grew up with everything that a little girl could ever want. She never had to ask for anything because it was just given to her. Riches, toys, and loads of lavish gifts were bestowed upon her at a young age. Then, she witnessed her dad being taken away by the authorities on the grounds that he led one of the largest narcotics rings in the U.S. And Francine had no idea, talk about one heavy day to process! She eventually had to come to terms with who her dad really was and eventually wrote a book about her father.
1. Manuela Escobar
Spoiled beyond compare, Manuela Escobar is the daughter of the late Pablo Escobar. Pablo was a horror for Colombia as he led one of the deadliest cartels in that country. While she has since managed to keep a lower profile than the other individuals on our list, she was no doubt cashing in on her father’s business and blood money. She was promised that she would be her dad’s only baby girl, which resulted in her dad’s mistress getting an abortion. When she was 10 years old, she moved to Argentina, changed her name, and tried to start a new life. Though nobody can stay hidden forever, and she was outed for her true identity a few years later.
