Cosmetic surgery has been around for quite a while. We have all seen those people on the television who have received boob jobs, nose jobs, butt lifts, and the like. Yet, this is a list of ten people who have taken plastic surgery to a whole new level. Some of these people want to look like celebrities, while others have strange obsessions and even addictions to getting cosmetic operations. It is no secret that these treatments cost thousands upon thousands of dollars, but it does not seem to faze these folks.
Forget about individuality, too. This list includes a set of twins who take their identical appearances to a scary level. There is also a woman who is using social media to change her appearance permanently, and a robotics scientist who may make you question his intelligence and reasoning. These crazy folks live all over the world, proving that oddness is all around us.
What is it about plastic surgery that is so alluring? It seems that some people find it to be the answer to all of their unhappiness and lack of self-confidence. Most of the people on this list are extremely satisfied with their extreme looks, and show no signs of stopping.
10. Adam Guerra – Madonna
Twenty-seven-year-old Adam Guerra has spent twelve years perfecting his Madonna-like appearance. He has gone through eighteen rounds of cosmetic surgery, amassing a medical bill of over $175,000. Guerra has been showing his feminine side since he was a young child and has never been shy about his dream to become Madge. He crafts his own costumes and even has a collection valued at $100,000. However, Guerra has let his love for Madonna hurt his relationships. He has sold his memorabilia and admits that his false appearance is an addiction. His boyfriend finally spoke out, causing Guerra to ease up on the surgeries. He says that his identity is more reflective of Madonna than of himself. For now, he has ditched his alter-ego, Venus D Lite, and returned to being full-time Adam.
9. Henry Damon – Red Skull (Marvel Villain)
There are fans, there are super-fans, and then there is Henry Damon. This Venezuelan underwent facial plastic surgery to dramatically revamp his face to look like Marvel’s villain Red Skull. His procedures included treatments to insert implants into his face, dyeing his eyes black, and getting tattooed all over his face. He has had extensive surgery done on his nose, and even had a portion of it removed. In spite of all of the dramatic operations, he is a husband and father. He has always dreamed of transforming into Red Skull, and has a passion for the comics, especially Captain America’s arch-rival. Damon says he is still planning on getting more operations. He wants to get silicone cheek implants and some more tattoos. Another weird fact – Damon’s friend, who dropped out of med-school, administers the surgeries and tattoos for him.
8. Jordan James – Kim Kardashian
James, who lives in the United Kingdom, pretty much idolizes reality-television star Kim Kardashian. He has spent $150,000 on plastic surgery to achieve what he believes to be the same look as his idol. With more than fifty operations under his belt, it was only a matter of time until he felt the pain. James revealed that his massively Botoxed lips are oozing filler out of the sides. Besides his lips, James has received implants on his cheeks. He says he wants to look “natural,” but his tattooed eyebrows say otherwise. He has also had body hair removed via laser to look more feminine.
James loves Keeping Up With The Kardashians and thinks Kim is “gorgeous” and “perfect.” His look may be a bit too real, though. Critics have said that he has gone too far in emulating Kim’s look, but he shakes off the haters. He is thrilled with his appearance and is not finished perfecting it. He wants to get a nose job, and even underwent the real Kim’s vampire facial. The treatment costs $700 and includes drawing blood out of the body and putting it on the face.
7. Krystina Butel – Caricature Form of Herself
Getting an artist’s rendition of ourselves as a caricature is fun, but we would not want to actually look like those drawings. Unless you are Butel. She posed for a caricature when she was sixteen while on vacation in Ibiza. She has spent fifteen years trying to achieve the same appearance as her cartoony counterpart. Now thirty years old, Butel has spent over $150,000 on cosmetic surgeries, including five breast operations which resulted in a chest that defies gravity. She has also received lip filler, Botox treatment, whitening for her teeth, and a semi-permanent makeup job. She also had her nipples shaped into hearts! She is still hoping to shell out more money to complete the extreme look. Next up are eyebrow lifts and butt implants.
6. Hiroshi Ishiguro – His Robot
Ishiguro is a scientist who works in robotics. He designed and crafted his own robot, which was used in a Japanese play called Sayonara. Ishiguro is known around the globe for his craft and innovation, yet now he is known for something a bit more intriguing. He made a robot that looked exactly like himself about ten years ago. As Ishiguro aged, his robot stayed the same. Problem! So, Ishiguro decided to get surgery to maintain his forty-one-year-old human form. Cosmetic treatments have helped him prevent aging. He claims that undergoing and paying for the operations is easier than just constructing a new robot in his older appearance. The nice part about this is that he can stay at home while his identical robot goes to meetings for him. He can control the robot through an Internet connection.
5. Max (“Xiahn”) – Himself in Korean Form
Max was once a young Brazilian man, but he gave in to the Asian persuasion. Now known as Xiahn, he has undergone ten operations in order to change his racial profile to look Korean. He has spent over $30,000 on these treatments, and wants to look just like the stars in his favorite K-pop dramas and music videos. At age twenty-five, Max was a blonde-haired, blue-eyed Brazilian. Now he has a very Asian appearance, with slanted eyes and jet-black hair.
He became interested in Korean culture when he was nineteen years old, and spent a year studying abroad in South Korea. He now feels that is more attractive, although he is still unhappy with the shape of his nose, which he thinks gives away his former Brazilian self. He puts in colored contacts to change his eye color, continues to dye his hair black, and considers himself a Brazilian-Asian hybrid.
4. Fran Mariano – Ricky Martin
Mariano is definitely living la vida loca. He has undergone a number of cosmetic operations in order to look just like Ricky Martin, whom he adores. Mariano is from Argentina, and was a contestant in Cuestion de Peso, or The Biggest Loser in Argentina. After six surgeries, including four on his nose, he is morphing himself into the former pop star. Mariano has also received liposuction on his cheeks, as well as extensive work done on his chin and forehead. Even though he is at his physical peak in health, he is unhappy because he has not found the love of his life yet. Maybe more surgeries will lead him to love. Mariano says that when he goes under the knife, he feels as though he is leaving a lot of pain and distress behind. Why not just try therapy?
3. Anna and Lucy DeCinque – Extremely Identical Twins
These twenty-eight-year-old twins from Australia were already pretty similar in appearance. Yet, they wanted to look just like each other, so they have spent almost $250,000 on cosmetic surgeries. The twins share just about everything – material possessions and even a boyfriend! The Aussie twins seem to have no trouble with sharing. They have received breast and lip implants and are now virtually the same person. They have dedicated their lives to looking (and acting) just like each other. They are basically inseparable, which makes us wonder – did they insist on receiving their surgeries at the exact same time? They have recently earned the title of World’s Most Identical Twins.
2. Carolyn Anderson – Pamela Anderson
We all remember Pamela Anderson‘s heyday nearly two decades ago. Sure, she was and is stunning, but Carolyn is obsessed. The twenty-eight-year-old British woman has spent $30,000 on plastic surgery. She has received other beauty treatments as well, including highlights, waxing, Botox, and tattoos for her lips. She does an exorbitant amount of tanning, which actually ended up destroying one set of breast implants. Carolyn aims to achieve Pamela’s Baywatch appearance and is a huge fan. She has not only invested her life and money into looking like Pamela; she also tries to act like her, too. Carolyn became obsessed when she was just ten years old and shows no signs of stopping.
1. Geri Hubner – Her Instagrammed Self
This may be a more up-to-date version of looking like a caricature of yourself. Hubner, who lives in New Jersey, is obsessed with looking like her favorite Instagram selfie. The mother, who was appalled at seeing her sagging skin in a photo taken with family, went to a cosmetic surgeon, showed him a photo of herself on Instagram, and said she wanted to look like that. The fifty-six-year-old has received a necklift, a procedure which can cost up to $20,000. Instagram users can filter and manipulate their selfies to look aesthetically pleasing. Rather than emulate a celebrity’s face, Hubner wanted to look like her best self. Known as a “social media makeover,” more and more plastic surgeons are saying lots of people are following this trend.
