Since its premiere in 2003, America’s Next Top Model (ANTM) has drawn in endless viewers who tune in week to week to watch the hopefuls compete in a variety of challenges and photo shoots with a goal of coming out “on top.” Each week, contestants are judged on their overall appearance, success in challenges, and the best shot from that episode’s photo shoot, with usually one contestant being sent home. Now in it’s 22nd Cycle, the show has certainly seen it’s fair share of very talented participants (in addition to a great deal of drama and tears).
And, although it’s safe to say none of the winners have emerged as the next Gisele Bundchen or Alessandra Ambrosio, many of the winners – and non-winners – have become successful in their own way. While some have gone on to appear on magazine covers and in spreads, others have had the chance to host TV shows, or appear in films, or even star in their own television show. Some have also managed to have medium-profile relationships with celebrities in the entertainment world, which, in a sense, may have helped boost their career and familiarity.
Here are 11 ANTM stars that have achieved fame in all sorts of ways.
11. Jaslene Gonzalez – (Winner, Cycle 8)
Jaslene first appeared in ANTM Cycle 7, and although she did not come out victorious, she then reemerged in Cycle 8 to take home the gold. Following the show and winning prize (representation by Elite Model Management, a $100,000 contract with CoverGirl cosmetics, and a cover shoot for the cover of a six-page spread in Seventeen magazine) she went on to do campaigns for Garnier Nutrisse, Southpole, Lot29, and others. She has become a familiar face in print modeling and has been photographed for In Touch Weekly, Vibe Vixen, Time Out, Splendor, Latina, 6 Degrees and Urban Latino. Jaslene has also hosted several style spots on CoverGirl TV and various events on the ‘Yeah!’ channel. Recently, Jaslene also helped launch the fashion site TooMuchStyle.com.
10. Cassandra Whitehead – (Quit in Episode 4, Cycle 5)
Cassandra is often remembered as the ANTM contestant that walked out of the competition following the show’s routine makeover episode, which took her long, brown locks, to a short blonde style. When it was recommended by Tyra that Cassandra’s hair be cut even shorter, she memorably packed her belongings and left the following morning. But, following her stint on ANTM, Cassandra continued her career, and began exploring acting, where she landed roles in the film 2 Dudes and a Dream and TV shows like One Tree Hill, CSI: Miami, Hannah Montana, Mad Men, and more. Notably, Cassandra married actor Stephen Anell of the CW series, Arrow.
9. Yaya DaCosta – (2nd Place, Cycle 3)
After her near-win in Cycle 3, Yaya went on to appear in advertisements for Garnier Fructis, Sephora, Oil of Olay, Radio Shack, Lincoln Townhouse and more. Additionally, on TV she’s starred in All My Children, Ugly Betty, Eve, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Army Wives, Chicago Fire and Chicago Med, just to name a few. She’s also appeared in a few music videos for artists including Chingy and Jay-Z.
8.Toccara Jones – (7th Place, Cycle 3)
As one of ANTM’s first plus-size competitors, Toccara was quickly cherished for her unique appeal by the panel of judges and the show’s audience alike. While she was eliminated after several episodes, she went on to star on VH1’s Celebrity Fit Club where she focused on getting in firmer shape while keeping her curves. Toccara later appeared on Celebrity Fit Club: Boot Camp. She also signed with Wilhelmina Models as part of their plus-sized models division. Additionally, she’s modeled for Avon, Torrid, Target, Ashley Stewart, New York and Company, among others. Toccara has appeared on covers for magazines like Be, The Next Level Magazine, Black Men magazine, Black Hair magazine, Braids magazine, and King magazine.

6. Keith Carlos – (Winner, Cycle 21)
Keith was ANTM’s first male winner in its most recent season. While he is just now getting his modeling career started, he is also well known for his time spent as an NFL football player, first on the Philadelphia Eagles, and then on the New York Giants. Before his participation on the show, Keith appeared in Krave Magazine and was named “unforgettable face” in a 2013 edition of Essence Magazine. As part of his ANTM win, Keith received a contract with Next Model Management, a spread in Nylon, and a $100,000 campaign with Guess.

She recalled her modeling experiences overseas in her book Beauty and The Biz: The International Adventures of America’s Third-to-Next Top Model which she published in 2006. She has written additional pieces, including a satirical piece for Bust Magazine and several posts for the website Lemondrop.com. She’s also appeared in a short film, The Problems With Machines that Communicate.
4. CariDee English – (Winner, Cycle 7)
CariDee is one of the most familiar looking faces from ANTM thanks to her many appearances in TV and print throughout the years following her Cycle 7 win. She’s modeled for Jil Sander and Carlos Campos. CariDee also hosted MTV’s Scarred, Oxygen’s Pretty Wicked, and appeared in minor roles in cult TV series One Tree Hill and Gossip Girl. Due to her chronic skin condition, CariDee has taken on a role as a spokesperson for the National Psoriasis Foundation, and has openly discussed how this condition has been a struggle for her throughout her career as a model. Also due to her struggle with psoriasis, she appeared in a commercial for plaque psoriasis treatment known as Stelara.
3. Eva Marcille – (Winner, Cycle 3)
Eva Marcille has had quite the career following ANTM, including modeling for DKNY and Apple Bottoms. On the screen, she’s had roles on Tyler Perry’s House of Payne, The Young and the Restless, and I Think I Love My Wife. She’s also been seen on Oxygen’s reality TV series, Girlfriend Confidential: LA. Though many disliked Eva while she was on ANTM due to her often-sassy personality, she went on to gain popularity and heightened fan interest, perhaps in part due to her relationships with celebrities including actor Lance Gross and singer-songwriter Kevin McCall.
2. Analeigh Tipton – (3rd Place, Cycle 11)
Analeigh has changed her career course a few times, first focusing on ice skating prior to her desire to pursue modeling, and then acting.
