10 Simple Foods That Will Spice Up The Bedroom

It’s Valentine’s Day and that is a great time to tell your one and only how you feel about them. As a matter of fact, it is probably a better idea to show them how you feel, instead. One way to show her how much you care is by taking her in beautiful ways while in the bedroom. Or another is by showing him the latest lingerie piece you have acquired. It is believed that to spice things up, bringing in a few appetizers while under the sheets are a fun way to end an evening (or to start an evening). For those who dare to venture into that category, it should be exciting and fun; but it’s probably best to prepare ahead of time. Bringing a few towels along is a good idea too, in case of spills (and for clean up later on), and sometimes a box of wipes could be handy to wipe off the stickiness that has been created from certain foods. Common sense is also best to use; don’t use the berries while on the sofa without a sheet covering it, and don’t leave the ice cream out too long and let it melt. Overall, just have fun and remember that if you like it, chances are, your partner will probably like it, too.

Almost everyone has heard that oysters are an aphrodisiac, and the legends do seem to be true. Even though oysters aren’t exactly the one thing you’d like to have in bed with you, especially if you are trying to be seductive. They are slimy and hard to hold on to; but they are loaded with zinc, which is a mineral that raises the testosterone levels. This, in turn, will boost the sex drive, so both partners will feel more “in the mood” after eating them. Surely there are people out there that are sexy enough to make oysters look incredibly provocative; perhaps if you actually like oysters, it may be easier to pull it off.

Gelatin is something that is very sticky, extremely messy and yet, can be extremely fun. Jell-O is included in the “make sure to have something to clean up afterwards” category, because you don’t want to wake up looking like you just stepped out of a clip from Poltergeist. Gelatin shots are pleasurable to drink off of each other, especially when taking turns from different body parts. Of course, you probably aren’t going to care what you look like when you wake up, but if you don’t have time to scrub all of the gooey mess off of you, then you may want to re-think the use of Jell-O. Especially if you are due at work early the next morning.

8. Red Wine / Alcohol (Could Be Mixed With the Jell-O)

When drinking alcohol in moderation, it is one way to “loosen up” before engaging in sexual activity. Sometimes you may want to have a glass of wine while laying in bed with your partner; and red wine happens to contain resveratrol, a stilbenoid that is found in grapes. It also is an antioxidant that helps blood flow, so your circulation will get going just as much as you are! If you put that red wine (or any alcohol) in gelatin, it makes for a delicious Jello Shot, and you can get messy while relaxing at the same time. The vanilla bean is known to stimulate nerves, so what better than vanilla ice cream to express those sensations? Ice cream could be a fun food to experiment with, and delicious, as well. Try using just a scoop or so, and start it out in a bowl. This way it doesn’t melt all over the place and end up ruining the mood by having a horrible smell from dried up, warm, messy ice cream that is no longer edible or pleasant. Adding fruit, syrups, whipped cream or chocolate can also be fun; which brings us to the remainder of the list.

Fruit is one of the best things to use to spice up the bedroom. Not only is it good for you, it tastes great and can be loads of fun, as well. If you and your partner like to be silly, you can play with each other using the fruit, and get messy and hot in the meantime. You can play around with the food, devouring it off of each other, or simply lick it while enjoying each other at the same time. At least you know that you won’t be gaining a lot of weight, and any calories that you do ingest will most likely be worked off afterwards.

Popsicles are one more sticky, cold treat that will get your passion rolling. The same goes for ice; it just doesn’t have any taste, but can work just as well for those who don’t have any popsicles handy. One way to get the heat going is to let the popsicle melt a bit, pour it over your partner’s belly and slowly lick it off. Just make sure to have a bag or bucket handy to dispose of the popsicle stick when finished, you wouldn’t want to roll over onto a stick while you’re in a mad fit of passion. Chances are, you won’t even notice and you may end up with splinters later on.

Using syrups can be extremely messy, so it is not for use by someone who is afraid to get dirty. Of course, if you are looking for food to use in the bedroom, chances are that you probably don’t really care about being unclean. There really are no intoxicating ingredients with syrups, other than the sugars that are in them, and same goes for the icing. The fun that is had with either of these things more than makes up for that fact! They are not healthy, it makes a complete mess and you may need wipes to clean up when you’re finished. These are fantastic reasons for using them. You can even get certain ones at the adult stores that sell these kinds of products that won’t leave you with a heavy feeling after consuming so much sugar.

Whipped cream is a fun way to decorate yourself, especially when using the aerosol kind. You can create small circles around certain sensitive areas, and have your partner slowly lick it off of you. Or vice-versa, if you so desire. This is another product with a lot of sugars and cream (it’s whipped cream, of course), so it’s best to either buy something light or to pick up a better version at the adult store, so you’re not so sick afterwards. This is one more food item that needs to be cleaned up right away, because the smell of dried cream is not that intoxicating.

If you want to bring something healthy into the bedroom, one of the sexiest, healthiest foods you could add to your list would be strawberries. For one strawberry, it is only two calories, and for the sake of this article, we’ll just say that you are only going to eat one. You get ten milligrams of potassium from just one strawberry, 5 milligrams of zinc and 1.1 milligrams of calcium. Add that to the exercise from sex and this is one of the healthiest things you can do for yourself. They taste really good with the whipped cream, too, so you could (in theory) counter the calories from the sugar by eating a few healthy berries.
