Donald J. Trump officially announced his candidacy for president of the United States of America on June 16, 2015. Since then his hair, obnoxious comments and irrational theories have taken the web by storm. Trump knows how to stay in the headlines and that appears to be his strategic plan in hopes of getting the GOP nomination.
Mexico detests him and fellow celebs run the other way when they see him. Adore him or despise him, Trump is a force to be reckoned with. As a successful businessman with a net worth of $4 billion, his life is like a movie. In his numerous books, he loves to brag about all the fabulous parties he’s attended and the beautiful women he’s had. The business tycoon has been married three times and has five kids.
You might want to continue to read up on this guy, because word on the street is many everyday people think Trump could be a good fit for Commander in Chief. Is this a scary thought?
He might secretly only want to boost his brand and stay relevant in today’s ultra fast media cycle, but I doubt it. Trump has been seen wearing “Make America Great Again” hats and he looks like he means business. Nevertheless, here are 12 awesome facts that you didn’t know about The Donald.
12. Trump Thinks Women Are Obsessed With Him
In 2004, The Daily News quoted Trump saying, “All of the women on The Apprentice flirted with me—consciously or unconsciously. That’s to be expected.” You’d be surprised about the women who have thrown themselves at the Donald.
Before her tragic passing, Anna Nicole Smith was one of the many women to have flirted with Trump. Trump and Smith dated for a short time in the early 90s. It is well documented that Smith had an eye for older, wealthy men. In Trump’s book (Trump: The Art of the Comeback), Trump writes about being impressed by a woman’s sex drive and even details incidents when married women and soon-to-be married women wanted to jump his bones. “While we were dancing she became very aggressive, and I said, ‘Look, we have a problem. Your husband is sitting at the table, and so is my wife.’ ‘Donald,’ she said. ‘I don’t care. I just don’t care. I have to have you, and I have to have you now.’” Sheesh. I can see why Trump would think women are obsessed with him.
11. He’s Failed Way More Times Than You Have
Donald Trump is ambitious. There’s no question about it. Every billionaire is. Sometimes you win big and sometimes you nose dive. The Donald has tried to make money in every avenue one could think of, from vodka to his very own airline. Both ventures failed miserably.
In 1989, he launched a monopoly-like board game and creatively called it, Trump: the Game. Long story short, no one was interested and you can add that to Trump’s list of failures. One of Trump’s silliest ventures yet was a premium steak business. The steak collection was laughable at best and was soon discontinued.
Trump’s strangest gamble was when he opened up a non-accredited, for-profit college. Students were dissatisfied to say the least and the New York Attorney General’s Office ultimately sued Trump University for $40 million for poor services and illegal business practices. Even a successful person like Trump deals with major disappointments.
10. Trump is an Alleged Billionaire Sex God
Have you ever pictured Donald Trump naked? Nope. Don’t worry, I haven’t either. However, to some women, Trump is a total catch. He has money, a sharp mind, doesn’t care what others think about him and he’s on top of the world.
We all know about Marla Maples right? She had an affair with the future president while he was married to Ivana Trump. Ivana Trump discovered the affair in 1991 after confronting Marla on a skiing trip. The infidelity led to Trump’s first divorce. Maples and Trump married in 1993 and later divorced in 1999. Marla confessed that a night with Trump was “the best sex she’s ever had.”
Now back to the Twitter age, former penthouse sweetie Sandra Taylor is now gushing about her time with the Donald. When asked about her former lover, Taylor has been quoted saying, “Omygosh, he was great.” She even hopes that he is elected president. “I think he’d be a terrific president,” says Taylor. Let’s keep our fingers crossed and hope no alleged sex-tapes with he and Rosie O’Donnell lands in TMZ’s mailbox.
9. Trump Loves God but Refuses to Ask for Forgiveness
Donald Trump is fabulously wealthy with a guilt-free attitude. Trump is also a proud Christian and has said so on numerous of occasions. “People are so shocked when they find out I am Protestant. I am Presbyterian. And I go to church and I love God and I love my church,” he said.
During a Q&A at the Family Leadership Summit in Ames, Iowa, Trump was asked by moderator Frank Luntz if he had ever come to God for forgiveness for his actions. Trump then replied, “I am not sure I have. I just go on and try to do a better job from there. I don’t think so,” he said. “I think if I do something wrong, I think, I just try and make it right. I don’t bring God into that picture. I don’t.”
Trump definitely doesn’t follow in the same footsteps as Grammy award-winning singer Ciara, who allegedly prays after sex. I guess it’s better to be guilt-free than sweat the small stuff.
8. Trump Nearly Lost it All
It seems like everyone at one point in their lives has dealt with financial woes. You wouldn’t think that about Trump, because he was born into a wealthy family, inheriting millions of dollars. Though, life doesn’t care who you are and it can stress the best of us.
Here’s the scoop: in the 1990s the real-estate market crashed. The crisis significantly reduced the value and income of Trump’s cherished empire. Trump lost his billionaire status! His net worth plummeted from an estimated $1.7 billion to $500 million. This was undeniably a huge misfortune for The Donald. To add insult to injury, Trump’s image was tarnished after tabloids discovered his affair with, as mentioned, Marla Maples. Since then, Trump has authored a book with Kate Bohner titled “Trump: The Art of the Comeback.”
7. Trump Believes in the Power of Negative Thinking
Donald Trump believes in negative thinking? According to The Donald, negativity can be effective. He uses it as a business tactic. Trump’s been quoted saying, “It’s been said that I believe in the power of positive thinking. In fact, I believe in the power of negative thinking. I happen to be very conservative in business. I always go into the deal anticipating the worst. If you plan for the worst – if you can live with the worst – the good will always take care of itself.”
Positive or negative, Trump is an excellent businessman and I doubt he’ll change his methods now.
6. The Donald Thinks Barack Obama Absolutely Sucks
Weather you are a fan of President Barack Obama or not, it doesn’t really matter, because Donald Trump thinks he’s less than great. From Obama’s birth certificate to his grades at Harvard University, Trump has always been suspicious of America’s first Black president.
He’s suggested that Obama was a “terrible student” and is still eager to get Obama’s Hawaiian birth certificate authenticated. In 2013, Trump was been quoted saying, “Sadly, because President Obama has done such a poor job as president, you won’t see another black president for generations!” T
The following year, Trump continued with his Obama bashing and said, “Our great African American President hasn’t exactly had a positive impact on the thugs who are so happily and openly destroying Baltimore.” Ouch. Trump is pretty harsh on a now grey-haired Obama.
5. $300 million to build Trump World Tower in Chicago
In case you’re secretly browsing your boyfriend or girlfriend’s computer to see what they’ve been viewing online for the past hour let me fill you in: Donald Trump is filthy, filthy rich and the Trump World Tower is ridiculously amazing.
The tower is the 12th largest building in the world. Made of 11,500 glass panels, each is made of thermal pane glass with a special coating to retain heat in the winter and cool air in the summer. Inside the luxurious penthouse, each bedroom has a glamorous view of Chicago (including the kitchen, dining, living and family rooms). The penthouse also includes an art gallery and suave media room. Trump is willing to give up the penthouse for an eager buyer. The asking price is: $28 million and that’s not a typo.
4. Trump Insisted that Robert Patterson Dump Kristen Stewart
In case the global humiliation wasn’t enough, of course, Donald Trump couldn’t resist from chiming in. Trump has millions of twitter followers so naturally he chose a reliable platform to voice his opinions. Via twitter, the Donald wrote, “Everyone knows I am right that Robert [Patterson] should dump Kristen Stewart. In a couple of years, he will thank me. Be smart, Robert.”
Fast-forward to 2015, everyone knows how that relationship turned out. Perhaps Trump’s well-advised, heartfelt advice caused the couple to split or maybe it was the cheating-with-the-married-guy thing. One can never be sure of these things.
3. He Thinks Heidi Klum is Past her Prime
Rarely does Donald Trump say something with intelligence. Though, an intelligent man he is, he often finds himself needing to put his foot in his mouth.
Case in point: German goddess/model Heidi Klum. Klum, 42, is a former supermodel and also the ex-wife of British singer Seal. Trump told the New York Times that, “sometimes I do go a little bit far.” Then Trump goes further. “Heidi Klum,” he continues, “sadly, she’s no longer a 10.” That was some major shade the Donald threw at Klum. The mother-of-four courageously responded in a short clip where she mourns over no longer being a 10 but a 9.999. Meanwhile, Mr. Trump officially established himself as an a-hole that happens to be running for president.
2. Trump is Nearing 70 and His Youngest Son is Only 9
When Trump’s youngest son, Barron, was born in 2006, he was 60. Really old men impregnating younger women aren’t unheard of, however the age gaps are still mind-boggling.
Ponder this: 81-year-old radio personality Larry King has four children; his youngest are 15 and 14 years of age. The renowned soul singer Stevie Wonder, 65, has won a total of 25 Grammy’s and fathered a baby girl just last year. Richard Williams, 73, father and coach of tennis champions Venus and Serena Williams ended his marriage of 22 years to marry a younger woman named Lakeisha Graham, 36. Together he and Graham had a son named Dylan. The baby boy was born when Richard was an astounding 70 years of age.
So, I guess Trump isn’t the most extreme case, but if you do the math, by the time Barron Trump turns 20, his father will be months away from his 80th birthday! I guess when your dad has billions, anything can be considered common.
1. Donald Trump Doesn’t Want to be Liked by You, the Republicans or the Democrats
A shrewd move by the future president, but things seem to be working for him. He recently landed the cover of TIME magazine and gave an in-depth interview.
Trump’s twitter features a picture with the caption, “When both parties hate you, America loves you.” That statement is almost correct, but I doubt “America” loves Trump. He has pissed off the entire Latino community, and in 1991 he was quoted saying, “Laziness is a trait in blacks.” Trump may be despised by all, but he does command respect.
Nevertheless, the nation is definitely intrigued by the 4.1 billion-dollar man known as Donald Trump.
