Oprah Winfrey Religion

Oprah Winfrey on her “Oprah’s Lifeclass: The Tour” broadcasted from New York City’s Radio City Music Hall emphasized that she is a Christian but has never asked any of her audience members to become Christian.

She has defined spirituality as living life with an open heart, through love, allowing oneself to align with the values of tolerance, acceptance and reverence for life.

She believes that there is a force energy consciousness of a divine thread that connects spirituality to us all,  something greater than oneself.

Her favorite Bible verse is Acts 17:28  “In God I live and move and have my being.” She has noted that believing in this verse has been an attribute to her success. Because at 4-years old, she clung to those words and believed in them.

Although she confessed on several events of her being Christian, many observers alleged that Oprah actually professed a form of pantheism – a teaching that God is everything and everyone, an abstract force rather than a personal Being.
