True or False: Are These Celebrities Related?
So there are celebs that are obviously related. We know of father-son Kirk Douglas and Michael Douglas, and the recently departed mother-daughter duo Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher. We know about brother-sister Jake Gyllenhaal and Maggie Gyllenhaal, brothers Chris Hemsworth and Liam Hemsworth and sisters Dakota Fanning and Elle Fanning.
Sometimes talent and showmanship, much like coronary disease, runs in the blood. And there’s no denying that these celebs have made it on their own, and not on the shoulders of their respective fathers, mothers, brothers, or sisters. For if all it took is blood to be rich and famous, we wouldn’t have these stories about the black sheep in celebrity families now would we?
There are plenty other celebs who are related to each other by blood in various ways, though some do not like to make that knowledge public. The relationships are not a secret, just not terribly publicized. Sometimes because there isn’t much of a relationship despite the blood bond, sometimes because the parties involved like to keep their personal lives separate and sometimes because there hasn’t been an opportunity to talk about it much (meaning one or both of the celebs involved may not be that famous enough for anyone to care what their background or family is like).
So here goes a true or false quiz to test your celebrity knowledge and to see if you know which celebs are related and how. And just to recap, blood is thicker than water. Mostly!
