The Priciest Private Islands For Rent

It’s cold. It’s icy. It’s winter. For many of us, just when we think the worst has passed, and are happily putting away those snow shovels and ski hats with the face masks, we get dumped on by snow and ice again. We dig ourselves out only to see on the Weather Channel that there is more on the way. When the snow finally does melt, it leaves in it’s wake a gritty, gray slush that will eventually turn into treacherous ice. By the end of January our bodies are crying out for warmth, and more importantly, sunshine. Our frozen minds begin to thaw when we think about the possibility of a tropical vacation.

Certainly there are any number of possibilities where one can travel in order to bask in that blazing ball of gold. Cruises are a good option for those who like to have destinations and activities mapped out for them, taking the stress of planning out of the actual vacation. If there are children involved, there is always Disney World in Orlando, Florida, the mecca of tourist attractions and outlet mall shopping. While both of these options offer the promise of warmth and sunlight, they also offer another aspect of popular vacation spots; crowds. Wouldn’t it be better to rent your own private island instead?

Though it’s not the first thing that comes to mind when one wants a tropical getaway, it is a distinct possibility. There are many private islands available for rent, where one can get away and surround themselves with their own friends and family, or with just that one special someone. Many of these islands come equipped with a full staff, boats, and even yachts for personal use, the most luxurious of linens, and private transportation to get you from one part of the island to another. Of course, this comes with a hefty price tag.  If you are one of the lucky ones who think an island vacation may be just the thing, the following list is for you!  Here are some of the most expensive private islands available for rent.  This price includes renting out the entire island for a seven night stay.
