Just like anything in popular culture, whether it be professional sports, modeling, or our favorite actors, our culture gets new “Draft Classes” of new talented professionals in their respective fields. In this article we will focus on the Film Industry, specifically the upcoming females seeking or already possessing a plethora of talents, specifically actresses. The stigma society places upon models is the cliché “That’s not a real job”, or “Must be a hard life”. When in reality, and as you read all of these up and coming actors put an incredible amount of work into get where they are today, still grinding to make a name for themselves.
As you will come to find out, most of these bombshells are incredibly talented not only through acting, but they are also musicians, singers, songwriters, and even gymnasts. It is truly remarkable how they’re able to juggle what seem to be long nights and early mornings, when it comes to makeup, wardrobe, and practicing dialogue, there is no
clock in, clock out”. These actresses show up for one reason only; to get the job done no matter what.
It’s astounding the lengths these aspiring actors would dedicate to perfect their art (from sometimes literally a few years old). A lifetime of auditions, balancing education and basic tasks we all complain about, now imagine a camera and a blog writing about how you were late to your dentist appointment. Frustrating…? Definitely! Let’s go check out these successful beauties!
15. Sabrina Carpenter (17)
Sabrina Carpenter is a jack-of-all-trades; she is a singer, songwriter, and aspiring actress. She’s young and driven with all the talent needed to succeed in such a cutthroat industry. Because of her plethora of talents, she is able to reach audiences from various demographics across the globe. She has a following of almost 10 million on Instagram, and is drop dead gorgeous. Her most notable role in acting so far was her Disney channel sister program Girl Meets World, a spin of the Boy Meets World series Disney made incredibly popular. One thing is for sure, keep an eye for Carpenter, if you don’t hear her on the radio, you might just walk into a movie and see her as the main character!
14. Olivia Holt (19)
When she was just three years old, she started singing! Its safe to say Olivia Holt has been driven to succeed since almost literally birth. She has since branched her goals to music, in which she is incredibly successful as well. In 2015, she released her first LP album, Olivia, with Hollywood Records, but her career and dreams had foundation structured long before the release of her album (available on iTunes). She has worked with Disney Channel since the age of 12 and starred in the 2012 TV movie Girl vs. Monster. Keep any eye (if you aren’t already) focused on this beautiful rising star, you will be very familiar with her soon!
13. Madeline Carroll (20)
Talk about early notoriety, this beauty started modeling at the age of three. Yes, you read that correctly. As she climbed the ladder through modeling and social media, she has since been featured in over 60 commercials. She absolutely loves the horror genre of films, and has appeared in Resident Evil: Extinction. In her free time, she enjoys playing with her three brothers and her puppy, Spot. That is when she can find time between juggling acting and a multitude of modeling shoots, auditions for new upcoming roles, and attempting to live a ‘normal’ lifestyle that we are all accustomed to living. She has truly proved her work ethic is second to none, so don’t be surprised when you run into Madeline Carroll in the future.
12. Caroline Sunshine (21)
Again, we have another multi-talented young lady, whose talents include singing, dance, and theater. Raised in beautiful Orange County, California, roughly an hour south of Los Angeles, she was destined for stardom and so far has landed on all the correct stepping stones, earning herself role as Emily in the motion picture The Outfield. This, however, was just the beginning. 2010 turned out to be a breakout year for Sunshine, landing a role in the major motion picture Marmaduke, as Barbara Winslow. Since her appearance alongside Emma Stone, Caroline has started gaining acceptance and developing her reputation on the actress platform.
11. Chloe Grace Moretz (19)
Known for her chilling role in the Stephen King remake of Annie, as well as a role in Neighbors 2, Moretz has already stuck her foot in the door of serious acting skills. She is one major role away from becoming a true established actress; in relation to actresses under the age of 25. She’s surprisingly flying under the radar for a sexy blue-eyed blonde who’s even earned a nomination for her role in Amityville Horror. Chloe Grace Moretz can be spotted at Los Angeles Dodger games, anywhere near Hollywood, it’s not that she hasn’t validated her acting career, however the jury is still out on how ‘concrete’ her acting career truly is.
10. Sophie Turner (20)
If you’re a Game of Thrones fanatic, which let’s face it, most of us are, then Sophie Turner (aka Sansa Stark) should be no mystery to you, however this is really her only significant role. Having said that, the show has launched her popularity into the stratosphere, as long as she is able to ride the proverbial wave of publicity and keep putting in the hard work, she should have no trouble continuing her successful career as a young actress. The only thing that could potentially halt future success would be the grasp of typecasting; essentially any future role she may play, the audience could only relate her to Sansa Stark from Game of Thrones, rather than the new character she is playing.
9. Hailee Steinfeld (20)
Hailee was home-schooled most of her childhood, and always wondered what it would be like to be on the other side of the camera; production and photography. When you look as beautiful as Hailee, it may be difficult for photographers to hand over the camera to this obvious up and coming sensation. She has played minor roles throughout her young career, including True Grit (2010), and Ender’s Game (2013), so she certainly has her high heels in the door when it comes to getting her name in the melting pot of high profile actresses. Her beauty, her drive, and her ambition has always separated her from the pack of other inspired actresses. The question for Hailee is not ‘how’, but ‘when’.
8. Maisie Williams (19)
Another Game of Thrones star, Maisie Williams (aka Arya Stark) stars as a young independent child who takes crap from no one. HBO nominated Maisie for best supporting actress, however she didn’t end up making the nominees list. Nevertheless, it’s certainly something to be proud of, as well as an accolade to continue her fight up the Actress totem pole. Also taking into account that her role as Arya Stark was her debut as an actress, so we all better look out for future roles she’s destined to land. She’s the youngest of all 15 who made it onto our list, but she’s a pack of dynamite and we can’t wait to see what’s next for her.
7. Ariel Winter (18)
Recently, Winter landed her first legitimate role as a daughter in the critically acclaimed Television show Modern Family. She grew up right before our eyes, and she wasn’t shy about letting her new physique show. She has hundreds of pictures that are revealing to say the least, she, as well as many of the young actresses, has landed one solid role, and we’re all asking ourselves, “what now?”. Modern Family is still killing it and shows no sign of slowing down, but certainly she has to take her talents somewhere next. She has excellent talent and definitely is easy on the eyes, but can she prove longevity and land another killer role?
6. Bailee Madison (17)
She’s new to this whole acting and red carpet business, but ‘star struck’ is certainly no term that is synonymous with Madison. She has worked with some of the biggest names in the business, including Natalie Portman, Jake Gyllenhaal, Hillary Swank, and even Billy Crystal. She has had excellent mentors, which is absolutely key when trying to navigate through the malicious maze of media and popular figures. She has the most significant advantage when it comes to the others named on this list. When she’s not working to become a superstar, she enjoys staying at home, and spending time with friends and her dog.
5. Peyton List (18)
Peyton is best known for starring on Disney Channel’s original series Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Believe it or not, she also made it into 27 dresses (she was much younger). As with most of these up and coming future bombshells, they are either well-connected, put in the hard work, or both, and these actresses work their absolute tails off, just like Peyton did. She spent her entire childhood essentially a younger version off all the female role models and blissful actresses we know and love today. Most of popular culture hears ‘model’, but many don’t realize how much dedication and hard work a model career actually is.
4. Dove Cameron (20)
Yet another Disney affiliate, multi-talented, and beautiful soul/face has nailed herself onto our list— and for obvious reasons. Cameron is an actress as well as a singer, and has earned nominations for Kids’ Choice Awards three times, once for Breakout Actress Of The Year, once for the Funniest, and once for Favorite Actress. Although she didn’t win any of the nominations, it’s still an honor for a child to receive this recognition this early into her career. You’ll have seen her alongside Jessica Alba and Samuel L. Jackson in Barely Lethal and she’s even made appearances in TV shows like Shameless and The Mentalist. Look out for Dove, she’s got unparalleled work ethic!
3. Nicola Peltz (21)
If you’re a Bates Motel fan, then chances are you’ve had your attention focused on Nicola Peltz more than any other character in the show. She’s drop dead gorgeous, an excellent actress, and just needs to land an impressive role that will make her the new Margot Robbie. She has worked with Mark Wahlberg on Transformers: Age of Extinction, so she clearly has gained acknowledgment, but with the beauty and talent that Nicola Peltz possesses, she is our number one choice based on the sheer upside she has to offer for years to come. She will be an unbelievably popular and famous actress if she continues to put in the hard work she has been her entire life.
2. Cara Delevingne (24)
Cara Delevingne is young, sexy, and on the rise. If you haven’t already seen her on VOGUE as a model, look out for her in her newest venture, acting; you’ll remember her from her role in Paper Towns as well as the recent comic book blockbuster Suicide Squad. With a remarkable thirteen million followers and counting on Instagram, she’s making more than just a splash in her multi-faceted career between modeling and acting. She comes from a family of hard workers and beauty. Cara would peruse her way through courses, and can recall, “messing” with psychiatrists just for fun. At the age of 9 she was told she had a reading level paralleled with average 16 year olds. At the age 16 she was told she had a reading level of that of a 9-year-old. She suffered from a disorder known as Dyspraxia (a disorder that complicates coordinating her thoughts and movements.
1. Chelsea Gilligan (25)
Chelsea’s career began with minor roles in popular television series such as How I Met Your Mother and Victorious. Like most young women in this article, she uses her good looks to her advantage (and why wouldn’t she?) and doubles as a model; not hard to see why with a face like that. She poses for VISION modeling, and has used her downtime to audition and fine-tune her acting skills. Chelsea made her film debut in the 2016 drama Looking for Lions. She is certainly a raw upcoming talent to keep an eye out for, she has 23k followers on Instagram and has only just breached the surface of her talents.
