10 Of The Most Famous Canadian Actors

Many of Hollywood’s biggest stars actually hail from north of the American border. Big-name movie and tv stars who call Canada home have made it in Hollywood in the past few decades and have graced screens throughout the world. From Austin Powers to Captain Kirk, television and the movies probably would not be the same without the impact that Canadians have made in Hollywood.

It’s not a surprise that some of the world’s most famous celebrities are Canadian. Many of Canada’s biggest celebrities are proud of their roots: Mike Myers and William Shatner, for instance, make no secret of their Canadian origins. However, it’s less known that other celebrities are actually Canucks: for instance, did you know that the two stars of “The Notebook,” Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling, are originally from Ontario?

Let’s take a look at some of Canada’s most famous exports: the stars that have graced our screens and airwaves for decades and have made their impact on the U.S. and throughout the world.
