10. Justin Bieber
Justin Bieber pulled out all the stops for his 19th birthday party in London. The singer threw himself a circus themed birthday party, complete with clowns and a ringmaster. The singer reportedly spent $20 000 on the party for him and 20 of his closest friends. Who says growing older has to be boring? Maybe he was trying to recapture his youth by hanging with clowns on his special day? But, the singer has been partying for quite some time leading up to his birthday and has indulged in some 6 am club nights with pals. He has been spotted strutting around shirtless, with his pants down around his butt.
9. Oprah Winfrey and Bob Veloz
Oprah’s joint birthday extravaganza for friend Bob Veloz’ 80th birthday and her 60th was red themed. We all know that when Oprah is involved, the party is bound to be huge, extravagant, over-the-top and just straight up awesome. Oprah loves the finer things in life and also loves her friends, so what a great excuse to get her party on. She invited 200 of his and her closest friends to show up in black tie to the birthday bash at Bacara Resort and Spa in Santa Barbara. Celebs such as Robert Redford, Rob Lowe, Carol Burnett and Patti LaBelle showed up to help the engineering tycoon and the media mogul celebrate these wonderful milestones. Guests showed up in beautiful red ball gowns and red jewels. Security was so tight that resort employees were not even allowed to walk through the event and all the entrances were barricaded and watched over closely by Oprah’s private security team. The next day, the pair hosted a gospel brunch and a 40 person choir serenaded 100 guests. Sources say that this event was “scaled down” so that it would be more low key which is funny because there was nothing low key about this event!
8. Sir Philip Green
Sir Philip Green, owner of Topshop, is a multi-billionaire and spared absolutely no expense on his 60th birthday in Mexico. The four day beach fiesta is reported to have cost him over 6 million. The beach was patrolled by guards on jet skis to keep the paps and other riff raff out of the star studded event. Guests included Leo Dicaprio, Naomi Campbell, Kate Hudson, Simon Cowell and Kate Moss. He had pictures of his face projected onto 20 feet cliffs for his guests to look at and forced the guests to wear his brand logo on everything from robes to beach towels. Green brought in over 100 members of staff from London to ensure that the event ran smoothly and even had a nightclub built on the beach for his daughter, Chloe who turned 21 a few weeks after him. Robbie Williams, Carlos Santana, Enrique Iglesias, Cee Lo Green, Chris Martin and Stevie Wonder performed at the event. He served a late night snack of imported Kobe beef burgers. The burgers were so lavish that they cost $50 each to make. The whole 4 day event was epic and each day had a host of new and over-the-top activities for guests to enjoy, including dancing on the beach until 6am under a grandiose fireworks display.
7. Perez Hilton
Perez Hilton rose to fame for gossiping about celebrities on his website. His over-the-top wardrobe and commentary can only mean that he is a man who loves to throw tremendous parties and his birthday parties are no different. His 32nd birthday bash had a star studded guest list including, Liza Minellia and Katy Perry. In fact, Katy Perry entered the party on an elephant that was decked out in glitter and sequins. How much more over the top can you get?! The event was carnival themed and the bartenders had their faces painted like performers and a host of acrobats performed for the crowd. His most recent birthday party was Madonna themed. There was a strict Madonna themed costume only dress code and guests that were not dressed were turned away at the door. Perez showed up in drag, dressed in a cone bra and corset with a blonde wig. Talk about raunchy!
Beyonce threw an epic black tie masquerade ball for her mom’s 60th birthday. The party was modeled after a traditional New Orleans masquerade and guests arrived in costume. The party was held in New Orleans and guests arrived to the event in horse drawn carriages with a marching band welcoming them. The night featured a live band and nine tier golden birthday cake and some fierce costumes. The event was reported to have cost the singer over $100 000.

Her 50th birthday party was the ultimate house party because it was literally in THE most important house in America, the White House. Fifty is a huge milestone in anyone’s life and 50th birthday parties are usually characterized by tons of friends, family, merriment and a wild shindig. So, when Michelle Obama turned 50, she did exactly that and packed her house full of some of the most famous people in the world. Her star studded blow out was the talk of the town and included guests like, Beyonce and Jay-Z, John Legend, Ashley Judd and Sherly Sandberg. No list wild party list would be complete without Miley Cyrus. Miley is known for her wild antics, crazy fun attitude and love of parties. So, it’s no surprise that her 21st birthday at Beacher’s MadHouse in Hollywood was epic and wild. Like any awesome celebrity party, the guest list was a who’s who of Hollywood A-listers, including Wiz Khalifa, Emma Roberts and Ke$ha. There were blow up dolls everywhere, strippers and a guest appearance from The Lorax a Dr. Seuss character. Her birthday cake was a huge nude version of herself and had pot leaves covering her private areas. In true Miley fashion, she celebrated her entry into the world of legal drinking age in style, tongue out and all.
2. Florence Welch
Florence Welch, the singer from Florence and the Machine, threw an epic party at the Standard Hotel in New York. It is reported that the singer partied so hard she chipped a tooth, lost her phone, took a bath with all of her clothes and accidentally set fire to her hotel room. Talk about getting wild! This party sounds like a scene straight out of the Hangover. The singer who was accompanied by rap superstar Kanye West, among other celebrity guests, said she woke up to a bucket of water beside her bed and black stuff all over the walls. The singer said that she footed the bill for all of her guests to drink dirty martinis and that it cost her an arm and a leg, though she won’t disclose the amount. Welch definitely knows how to party in style and how to get wild and crazy, while out and about on tour.
1. Kate Moss
Kate Moss is known for throwing epic birthday parties. Her 40th birthday was a four day ‘Glastonbury’ themed bash. This party featured rave tents, fire breathers, a psychic and 4 bands that represented a decade in Kate’s life. However, this pales in comparison to her 30th birthday. The party began with a long lunch with Kate and her closest girlfriends toasting bubbly and eating the finest cuisine before they took off to get ready for the night. The party was themed ‘The Beautiful and the Damned‘ and Kate hired a team of makeup and hair artists to prepare her and her posse for the night. The party took place in two four storey mansions that were linked together by a vast courtyard. The party got so raucous that various noise complaints were registered around 2 am. After the complaints, Kate and about 50 party guests left the mansion to head back to her suite at Claridges. Party guests claimed that people would go into the room and them come out with a huge grin on their face. The party finally wound down around 8am.
