The Top 10 Friendliest and Unfriendliest Cities in the U.S.

Conde Nast recently unveiled the result of the Annual Readers choice survey and revealed the ten Friendliest Cities in the country and the least friendly cities which scored below 50 percent.  They have also named the most and least friendly cities in the World.

The survey was conducted to over 46,000 respondents and readers from all over the country last year.  On a five point scale respondents would rate the cities they have visited for business or leisure based from their opinions on several factors like people, food, culture, friendliness etc. Around twenty percent of the readers who have participated are ranking based on their experiences from business trips in any of the 500 cities on the list.

From the top Charleston, South Carolina scored overall rating 91.5, number one in the US and fifth in the world. Charleston has been consistently the Readers Choice for several years now.

Followed by Galena, Illinois a popular tourist destination packed with history, historical architecture, and entertainment. The oldest city in Georgia, Savannah scored overall rating 87.8.

Hospitality shined in Asheville North Carolina landed on the fourth spot. Combined diverse culture, shopping and history, Austin got the fifth spot.

Two of Mississippi cities Jackson and Natchez both got 83.0 rating. Good food and skiing spots put Telluride, Colorado to number eight.

Travelers unwind and enjoyed the laid-back lifestyle of the people in Sonona, California scored the city 82.9. On the tenth spot, known for its theaters and entertainment Branson impressed vacationers who were looking for fun at every turn.

To complete the list, below are the least friendly cities in the US according to Conde Nast Traveler. Newark New Jersey got the least score.
