It is a fantasy along the lines of Cinderella: someone from an ordinary background meets a prominent celebrity and falls in love. It often seems like most celebrities or wealthy people only marry other rich and famous individuals, but that is not always true. Often, celebrities appreciate finding a significant other who is not as famous. They can appreciate having a “normal” partner who will help ensure that their life will stay firmly grounded.
Perhaps all of the fame and attention that one individual receives in a couple can balance out the relatively normal life the other person brings to the relationship. After all, don’t opposites attract? From movie and music stars to royals and business tycoons, a surprising number of the world’s elite have found love with a significant other who is for lack of a better term, “ordinary.”
