Sometimes we are highly surprised by the high IQ scores of some celebrities, and we wonder what else they could be doing if they were not famous. Then there are the celebs who we look at and realize that they most likely would not be suited for anything else other than acting or singing. It doesn’t mean that they are not smart; it just means that the likeliness of these famous people getting their Master’s Degree or going to medical school is very low. Although some of these celebrities appear to be very smart, sometimes we often wonder what they were taught in school, if anything at all.
10) Kim Kardashian
Growing up in Los Angeles, Kim Kardashian is the daughter of Robert and Kris Kardashian. They divorced in 1991, and her mother married Bruce Jenner that very same year. Although Kim has never attended college, she currently is one of the most famous people in the world. She is married to Kanye West, and they have a child together named North West. She gained her fame by appearing on the reality show, Keeping Up With the Kardashians; in which the show featured her family and everything they do in their everyday lives. She used her fame to start a line of sunless tanning products and fragrances, and has appeared in several commercials for other companies. It has been rumored that she will be appearing in television shows and movies, but that has yet to be seen. Kim and Kanye are the most talked about couple in the world (according to reports), yet, Kim does not really have any credentials when it comes to education. At one point, Kim was talking about a pain she had while pregnant and said, “If labor’s worse than this, I’ll hang myself. I’ll literally take a knife and slit my throat!”
9) Christina Aguilera
Christina Aguilera is known for her huge, powerful voice and has been seen as a judge on television’s The Voice. She grew up in Pennsylvania, where she went to elementary, middle and part of high school, until she left to be home-schooled due to constant bullying. Christina won several singing competitions when she was very young, and even tried out for the Mickey Mouse Club, but at the time, was not old enough. The second time she tried out for the show (which was two years later); she got in and appeared with many who are celebrities today; such as Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake. Christina has been an actress and a singer, basically since she was able to walk, and it is unlikely that she has had any jobs that most people would have.
Some might wonder if one particular question she had made was serious or if it was a joke. When she was referring to film festivals, Christina had asked, “So where’s the Cannes film festival being held this year?” She does, however, do a lot of philanthropic work when it comes to the ethical treatment of animals and for charities regarding children and the homeless.
8) Paris Hilton
Paris Hilton was born into the Hilton family, and is the great-granddaughter of the man who founded Hilton Hotels, Conrad Hilton. She has never known what it was like to be poor; unless you count the time she starred in The Simple Life, a show that she and Nicole Richie appeared in to see what it would be like to live like “normal” people. She made it very clear that she had no idea how to clean her own room, get up early to take care of a farm, or even go shopping at Wal-Mart. When talking about the discounted store, she asked the question, “Do they sell walls there?” Paris has tried her hand at singing, although her songs did not do too well on the pop charts. She also has done some modeling work and acted in a few films, which also did not do too well. Paris did not go to college, and was expelled from one school for violating the school policy. She did, however, earn her G.E.D. instead of finishing out high school and earning a diploma.
Paris has been known to be a “party girl,” even spending some time in jail for drinking and driving. Since then, she has started her own clothing line for dogs, watches, handbags and several perfumes. She has also helped with charities, with help of the inheritance from her great-grandfather.
7) Britney Spears
Britney Spears was another member of the Mickey Mouse Club when she was very young. She started singing and dancing at an extremely young age, and won several competitions as a child in the field of gymnastics. Britney knew back then, exactly what she wanted to do with her life, so she did not bother doing menial work like a lot of other people that were her age. After being on television as a child, she was able to get a recording contract and had several albums when she started being known as another party girl. She got married on a whim, was seen publicly intoxicated and at one point, even shaved her head while being filmed. Although, since she had her two children, she has since “calmed down,” appearing in a few films and as a host on television’s The X-Factor. In 2002, Britney started The Britney Spears Foundation, a charity that is known to help underprivileged children.
Some do wonder about Britney’s education when it comes to geography. She had made one statement that was fairly peculiar when speaking of a foreign country. She said, “I’ve never really wanted to go to Japan. Simply because I don’t like eating fish. And I know that’s very popular out there in Africa.” It is unknown exactly when she said this, but it is strange seeing that Japan was one of the places on her Dream Within A Dream tour in 2002.
6) Justin Bieber
Born and raised in Canada, Justin Bieber grew up playing instruments and singing. He posted a great deal of his videos on Youtube, that got him discovered in 2007. His very first album, My World 2.0, went platinum in the United States and Justin never really got the satisfaction of having to flip burgers or wait tables. Justin has had to grow up quickly, since his singing career had exploded into global success at such a young age. He did not have time for college, and has been known for his intense partying and immature behavior. Sometimes people forget how young he is and can sometimes be known for saying rather ‘off-the-wall comments’. When asked about politics, Justin had replied, “I’m not sure about the parties. But whatever they have in Korea, that’s bad.”
5) 50 Cent
50 Cent was born Curtis James Jackson III, and grew up in the town of Queens, New York. He was reportedly selling drugs by the age of twelve, and learned how to box at the age of eleven. After being shot by nine bullets in the year 2000, Curtis decided that he wanted something better with his life. He did not think he would make it to college, so he started rapping and created his first album, Guess Who’s Back? (In 2002.) He was luckily discovered by Eminem, and was immediately signed to several recording contracts. Curtis changed his name to 50 Cent after going to boot camp, and wanted to do something more meaningful with his life. He has since produced multiple albums and won several awards since his early days, and has even created his own record label.
Beyonce Knowles was originally part of the group, Destiny’s Child, back in the 1990s. When the group split, Beyonce went in her own direction and is simply known as “Beyonce.” She grew up in Texas, never went to college, but sang and danced as a very young child. At seven-years-old, she won a singing contest that was designed for older teenagers and people were amazed with her voice. At the age of eight, Beyonce and a few other girls got together to form a group and went on the television show Star Search. After seeing what his daughter could do, her dad quit his job so he could manage Beyonce and her friends. Since then, Beyonce has gone on to produce several albums, star in films, win a multitude of awards, and even sang the national anthem for Super Bowl XXXVIII. It is unfathomable to even think of anything else Beyonce could be doing (regarding employment), other than singing or acting.
3) Mariah Carey
Mariah Carey started getting voice lessons when she was only four-years-old. When she was only 17, she graduated high school and moved to Manhattan, New York, where she worked as a waitress and worked on writing her music at night. Although Mariah currently has sold millions of records worldwide, she is very unlikely to ever go back to waitressing. Mariah was one of the biggest stars of the 90s, and has never gone to college, so surely she does not know how to do anything else but sing. She is currently a philanthropist; helping people all over the world, but in the past, has said something quite disturbing. Mariah was reported as saying, “Whenever I watch TV and see those poor starving kids all over the world, I can’t help but cry. I mean I’d love to be skinny like that, but not with all those flies and death and stuff.”
2) Jessica Simpson
Jessica Simpson is known for her long, blonde hair and lovely singing voice. When she was a child, Jessica auditioned for the Mickey Mouse Club, just as other young singers had done, but failed at the age of twelve. She went on to a church camp, where she sang in front of the congregation and was put into a group that also included Justin Timberlake. Jessica never went to college, and dropped out of high school at a young age. She did; however, earn her G.E.D, instead. Jessica went on to become a famous singer, and married Nick Lachey, a former member of the boy band, 98 Degrees. They too had a television show together named, Newleyweds: Nick and Jessica back in 2003, where Jessica had shown the world about her lack of a college education. At one point, she looked at a can of tuna and asked if it was chicken or fish, because she didn’t understand the logo on the label, since it said it was “Chicken of the Sea.”
1) Charlie Sheen
Charlie Sheen is notorious for saying really stupid things over the last few years. As a matter of fact, in 2012, there was a web page created that was dedicated specifically to his random rants. “Winning,” and “I got tiger blood,” were a few of his quotes that were popularized during his bout with alcohol and drugs, while being fired from his hit television show. Charlie was surrounded by fame growing up, with his brother, Emilio Estevez and father, Martin Sheen being famous actors as well. Just as almost everyone else on this list, Charlie dropped out of high school due to poor grades and not attending, and decided to put his energies toward acting. He starred in many movies in the 1980s and 90s, and was cast in several television shows, including Two and a Half Men; in which he was fired from, for making rude comments about the show’s director and for alcohol and drug abuse. He still continues to act, but will most likely not be nominated for a Nobel Prize anytime soon.
