The beauties of the Star Wars films have made fanboys giddy for years. Princess Leia is not just a role model for young fans, but she is also a sex symbol for older fans. The iconic slave Leia costume worn by Carrie Fisher in Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi is perhaps the most famous costume in all of popular culture, and it is the go-to cosplay outfit for any good-looking female Star Wars fan at just about any comic convention.
The slave Leia outfit has caused quite a bit of controversy as of late. Disney is reportedly discontinuing merchandise of its type and will not be making any more slave Leia products in the future. Carrie Fisher even thinks it’s a little silly for Disney to do that. However, Disney owns Star Wars, and the company can do what it wants. So, perhaps your slave Leia action figure will skyrocket in value. There was even more controversy surrounding this costume when comedian Amy Schumer posed in it for the cover of GQ. Disney did not approve of that, either.
What do you think of these Star Wars actresses? Who do you think is the most beautiful? Here is our list of the hottest ten actresses from the Star Wars films.
10. Leeanna Walsman
This little-known Australian beauty had a small role in Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones where she played a shape-shifting alien bounty hunter called Zam Wesell. It’s too bad we didn’t get to see more of this actress’ pretty face in the film. She was either in alien make up or had her face covered by a handkerchief.
In Attack of the Clones, her character attempts to assassinate senator Padme Amidala, played by Natalie Portman, but she was thwarted by Obi Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker after a thrilling chase through alleys and the sky-high streets of Coruscant.
9. Femi Taylor
One of the sexiest alien creatures in the entire Star Wars universe is hands down Oola the Twi’lek. She was a slave dancer of Jabba the Hutt, and Nigerian actress and dancer Femi Taylor portrayed this sultry siren.
Taylor not only starred as Oola in Return of the Jedi, but she also reprised the role when George Lucas filmed new scenes for the special edition of Return of the Jedi. She looked as good as ever in the special edition of the film. It was 15 years later, and it barely looked like she had aged a day.
8. Amy Allen
Another gorgeous Twi’lek in the world of Star Wars is Aayla Secura. This beautiful, blue-skinned Jedi warrior was portrayed by Amy Allen in Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith. Not only did she act in two Star Wars films, but she also worked as a visual effects artist with Industrial Light and Magic.
She was in Attack of the Clones and worked on the film’s special effects, too. Aayla Secura wasn’t Amy Allen’s only role in Attack of the Clones. She also played triplet characters Mya Nalle, Yma Nalle and Lela Nalle Mayn in the Star Wars prequel film.
7. Orli Shoshan
Orli Shoshan brought her skills as an Israeli defense force member to the role of Jedi master Shaak Ti in Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones. Her expertise in hand to hand combat made her an ideal choice to play a powerful, lightsaber-wielding Jedi.
She looks equally amazing whether wearing casual attire or donning a full Jedi robe and heaps of special effects make up to look like a colorful Star Wars alien. However, her days as both a Jedi master and Israeli special forces member are behind her. Shoshan now works as an interior designer and real estate agent.
6. Keira Knightly
You might not have even known that Keira Knightly was in Star Wars. She played Queen Amidala’s assistant and decoy Sabe in Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace. She starred alongside Liam Neeson, who she would work with again in the holiday romantic classic Love Actually.
The heavy make up made Keira Knightly unrecognizable, and her voice was even dubbed over by Natalie Portman in the final cut of the film. Knightly was just a teenager when she was in The Phantom Menace, but she would go on to be a huge star. Today she is one of the sexiest women in all of Hollywood.
5. Daisy Ridley
Who is Rey? We still don’t know much about the female lead of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, but her story parallels that of Luke Skywalker. Is she a Jedi? Is she a relative of any other Star Wars character? She seems to be minding her own business on the sandy planet of Jakku when the adventure begins. All we really know is that Rey is played by English stunner Daisy Ridley.
Carrie Fisher had some advice for Ridley when she was first cast in The Force Awakens. Fisher said: “don’t be a slave like I was.” So, I think it’s safe to say Rey won’t be wearing a metal bikini anytime soon.
4. Gwendoline Christie
Game of Thrones actress and stunning blonde bombshell Gwendoline Christie is playing the villainous Captain Phasma in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. As the leader of the First Order Stormtroopers, she will be the first major female villain in any Star Wars movie.
Her stunning smile and fabulous figure will be hidden under heavy chrome armor in the film, but perhaps there will be a few scenes where she at least takes of her helmet to show off her pretty face. Even if there isn’t, at least we will get to hear her sexy British accent as she orders her legions of Stormtroopers to attack the Resistance.
3. Lupita Nyong’o
It’s somewhat unfortunate that the extremely lovely and talented Lupita Nyong’o is playing a motion capture character in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Fans will not be able to see her lovely face and stunning figure in the film, and the Yoda-like sage she is playing known as Maz Kanata looks nothing like Nyong’o does.
Still, even though she is playing a thousand-year-old alien in the latest Star Wars movie, she is still a stunning beauty in real life. There is plenty of mystery around her Force Awakens character, and it’s one of the big secrets of the upcoming film.
2. Natalie Portman
Natalie Portman was the female lead of all three of the Star Wars prequel films. She is not only a stunning beauty, but she is one of the few redeeming parts of the critically maligned prequels. Portman played Padme Amidala, who was the queen of Naboo, and true love of Anakin Skywalker, aka Darth Vader.
She looked amazing in elaborate costumes like her Queen Amidala outfit, but she looked sexy and heroic while wearing tight white clothes and sporting a blaster in hand. She proved that women can be just as heroic as any man, and she showed she wasn’t just a pretty face that needed to be saved.
1. Carrie Fisher
Carrie fisher didn’t just look beautiful in the sexy slave Leia costume from Return of the Jedi. Even when she was wearing the long, white cloak from Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope, she looked beautiful. Her iconic bun hairdo may have looked silly to some, but she made it work.
When she sported her Rebel Alliance uniform from The Empire Strikes Back, she looked stunning and ready for action. Later on she was truly breathtaking with her long braids as the Rebels celebrated with the Ewoks at the end of Return of the Jedi. Forty years later as The Force Awakens is about to open, Fisher still looks great as Leia. She was told to lose weight for The Force Awakens, but either way she would still look phenomenal at nearly 60 years old.
