Tiger Woods Caddy

Steve Williams, is  the former caddy of  Tiger Woods, he worked for Tiger for 13 years.  He replaced  Mike “Fluff” Cowan; Tiger’s original caddy. Williams was not only a ‘caddy’ for Woods but also a friend, as Tiger was present at Williams’ wedding in New Zealand back in 2005. In 2006, Williams  earned 15% of Woods accumulated $8.3 million, off of his seven straight victories plus a salary of $1000 a week.

Williams used to be aggressive in defending Woods from arrogant fans. In fact he once threw a $7000 camera in the pond of a fan who tried to take a photo of Woods during his back-swing.  Woods shocked the media when he announced that Williams would no longer be his caddy, his last day was on July 20, 20011.

Tiger was grateful to Steve for all his help, but thought the time had come for a change. He also wished him success in the future, for Steve was an outstanding caddy and a friend.

Other caddies:

Byron Bell served as Tiger’s caddy for the Bridgestone Invitational and the PGA Championship.

Joe LaCava replaced  Byron Bell after he left Johnson. He is one of the top caddies on the PGA Tour.
