The Cast Of The Office: Where Are They Now?

via ssinsider.com

The Office was a mock documentary about working in a typical office. The employees of Dunder Mifflin Paper Company are all exaggerated caricatures of the types of people you will probably meet while working in a corporate setting. This hilarious show was filmed documentary style, with a “hidden camera” flashing to interviews and back. The office drama and practical jokes make for the funniest corporation you’ve ever been a part of.

The show, which ran on NBC from 2005 to 2013, was based on the British show of the same name. The original, starring Ricky Gervais, ran on the BBC network from 2001 to 2003. It was brought to American television by Greg Daniels and Ricky Gervais. Although the original only lasted for a few seasons, the American the Office expanded upon the foundation built at the BBC and created something entirely its own. The cast was a hilarious blending of characters, including Steve Carell, who played the idiot boss that everyone loved to hate. A spin-off was suggested to NBC in 2008, but it went on to become its own show, known as Parks and Recreation.

Since the show was cancelled in 2013, the show is still talked about three years later. The Office altered the face of Scranton, Pennsylvania, where the fake Dunder Mifflin Paper Company was said to be located in the show. With such a reaching impact, it makes you wonder, what are all of the actors and actresses from the show up to nowadays?

Steve was also recently in the family comedy Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. He’s also going to be in Battle of the Sexes, an upcoming movie about Billie Jean King and Bobby Riggs; he’ll be starring in it alongside Emma Stone.

Dwight Schrute was the office worker everyone thinks is super weird. Dwight was played by Rainn Wilson, who was already well known for playing Arthur Martin on Six Feet Under. During the filming of The Office, Rainn also had parts in the movies Juno and My Super Ex-Girlfriend. Since 2013, Rainn has been quite busy; not only has he guest starred as a voice on Adventure Time, played in several movies, and had a starring role as the brilliant (but not very nice) Everett Backstrom on Backstrom on Fox. Wilson has also been working on a project called SoulPancake, which is a “positive and inspiring media and entertainment company” that creates “smart, uplifting, meaningful, shareable content targeted to the Optimistic Millennial.” The actor has several movies coming up in 2016 and 2017, including voicing Gargamel on a new Smurfs movie, a lead role in Thom Pain in 2017, and a spot in the upcoming Robodog film. The actor was married in 2014 to his second wife, Celeste Ackelson, in his backyard, and a year later, the couple had their first child together. He was recently the subject of a Ted Cruz meme, where someone held up a sign, wondering if Ted Cruz, the potential presidential candidate, and Kevin Malone were the same person. When asked his opinion of the meme, Brian replied with: “Well played, protester at Ted Cruz rally. Though to be fair, you are insulting Kevin’s intelligence by the comparison.”
