Gay, straight, bisexual, pansexual – there are so many classifications and sexual identities out there today that it can be hard to keep track. While the rest of the world tries to figure out what sexual orientation they identify most with, we have media and public figures speaking out about the struggles of coming out and coming to terms with oneself. It is definitely a hot topic nowadays and while more and more celebs are coming out and determining their true orientation, there are still plenty of others who are still trying to figure it out or are unsure of whether or not they are ready to come out of the closet.
Here we have our list of the 20 sexiest celebrity lesbians right now. The list may surprise you; there are a number of celebs out there that we didn’t even know identified as either lesbian or bisexual. For example, Lindsay Lohan, Angelina Jolie, and Megan Fox are just three of the actresses who have taken a stance and informed the public of their sexual orientation. We all know about Ellen and Portia de Rossi, but what about other singers, models, and actresses? There is no age limit, nor genre of music or filmdom. Here are 20 women who are hot, talented, and also happen to be attracted to girls (and maybe guys too.)
20. Portia de Rossi
Portia de Rossi is the wife of Emmy-winning talk show host Ellen DeGeneres. Now Portia is totally comfortable in her own skin, but in the past she struggled to accept that she had lesbian desires. It felt strange to be a lesbian, especially in the past because there weren’t really any celebrities that had come out of the closet. Average people are gay or lesbian, why can’t celebrities be, too? For a while, Portia said that she “just didn’t want to be a lesbian.” For a while, she struggled with an eating disorder and stayed away from romantic relationships. When she finally came out, she was greeted with loads of support.
19. Amber Heard
Amber Heard is known as the girlfriend (or ex-girlfriend?) of actor Johnny Depp. She was in a monogamous, heterosexual relationship with him until she revealed that she was attracted to women. Amber has said that she “didn’t want to be scrutinized” but now says that she has a “responsibility” to be open and honest about her sexuality. Now Amber has had to dodge rumors that her girl-girl relationships are driving a wedge between her relationship with Depp and causing bouts of jealousy in the actor. Amber has been seen hanging around with Io Tillett Wright, a gay and lesbian activist.
18. Clementine Ford
Clementine Ford has been outspoken and honest about her lesbian sexual identity. She recalls when she was 10 years old and playing house with a female friend, when the two practiced kissing. Ford then reached out to her lesbian godmother and she was her glimmer of light and source of wisdom about being a lesbian in real life. With her mother being Cybil Shepherd, Ford probably felt a lot of pressure. Should she keep her sexuality a secret? Should she just own who she is and not care what others think? At one point she wasn’t sure where she was in terms of sexuality. Now she is a more confident and mature woman and a role model for lesbians (famous or not).
17. Kristanna Loken
Kristanna Loken works as a movie actress and model. You may have seen her in Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, BloodRayne, and Bounty Killer. She has also appeared in television series. Loken was married to Noah Danby from 2008 to 2009 until Loken announced that she was in a relationship with a woman. 16. Tila Tequila
Tila Tequila (also known as Thien Thanh Thi Nguyen in her native Singapore,) rose to fame when she starred in her VH1 reality love series, A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila. In this television show, potential suitors vied for Tila’s love and affection. Well, we all know how those types of shows pan out. Tila also works as an actress, singer-songwriter, model, and she writes on her blog. The 34-year-old had originally come out as bisexual but has since stated that she is a lesbian. She most recently was back on television to appear in the reality show Big Brother, but she was reported kicked booted out of the competition for a Nazi-related photography scandal.
15. Anne Heche
Anne Heche is known for her acting chops, but also for her romantic relationships and the ensuing drama they bring. She was in a long-term relationship with Ellen DeGeneres, and their split was a big deal. It clearly left both of them jolted and things seemed to gotten better for them both. Anne was first married to Coleman Laffoon from 2001 to 2009 and is now dating James Tupper (they’ve been seeing each other since 2007.) So as Anne has both homosexual and heterosexual tendencies, she is a bit hard to figure out. Even so, she is a gorgeous celeb and is maturing beautifully in the public spotlight.

Gillian Anderson is an actress in film, television, and theater. Born in Chicago, she also has worked as a writer and activist. She was married first to Clyde Klotz from 1994 to 1997; then she married Julian Ozanne in 2004 (they split up in 2007.) She has appeared in The X-Files, The Fall, and Hannibal. She identifies as a feminist and heterosexual who is “not closed to the idea of entering another same-sex relationship…because gender is irrelevant.” So, in our book, she qualifies to be on this list. Anderson does charity work for the LGBT community, The Trevor Project (for suicide prevention,) and Childreach International (to secure basic civil rights for children.)
13. Chely Wright
Chely Wright is an American celebrity who has been quite vocal about her stance on same-sex relationships and homosexuality. 9. Ellen Page
We all know of Ellen Page. She has appeared in lots of films, such as Hard Candy, Inception, Freeheld, and perhaps most famously, Juno, where she really rose to stardom. She was quite mum about her sexuality for a while, but recently came out as a lesbian. She stated that she couldn’t lie to herself and then get angry at other people for denying their own sexual orientation. Now, Page is an out celebrity, and the 28-year-old recently made waves at the Sundance Film Festival for her most recent acting role. In the new film Tallulah Page plays the main character and is receiving a lot of positive buzz.
8. Jenny Shimizu

Jenny seems to be the more “butch” woman in the pairing, and Jenny first met Jolie in 1996. They were both on the set of Foxfire, and Jolie was dating Jonny Lee Miller at the time. If it weren’t for her previous commitment to Miller, Jolie may have ended up marrying Jenny! As for Harper and Jenny, they met in 2012. Now they are happily married and Jolie is together with Brad Pitt. See? Everyone wins!
7. Michelle Harper
Now for Michelle Harper, wife of Jenny Shimizu. Michelle is known for her whimsical outfits and garments that look like something out of a fairy tale. Crowns, tiaras, full skirts, and more abound in her wardrobe, and she definitely the more flamboyant of the Shimizu-Harper duo. Michelle’s mod look is daring and bold, much like her personality. She works as a brand consultant and advisor, but elsewise she is very low-key. Before tying the knot and getting involved with Jenny Shimizu, Michelle was dating Daniel Leeb, a filmmaker. Now Michelle seems to be happier than ever with Shimizu, and can best be described as a walking piece of art.

5. Lauren Morelli
Have you heard of a little show called Orange is the New Black? Well, the writer for the television series is Lauren Morelli.
