The 15 Most Shocking Things Donald Trump Has Done To Women

via jezebel

Donald Trump does his best to be hated by half of the population of the United States: women. Even though running for president of the United States should have encouraged him to make at least 51% of the voters happy, he hasn’t quite understood what “politically correct” means and is recognized for his aggressive behavior. Repeatedly accused of racism against black people, Muslims and immigrants, Donald Trump is now making it so women want to build their own wall to protect themselves from him. Unfortunately, being a billionaire failed to make him respectful and tolerant, as these things can only be bought with care, altruism, and knowledge. Even though he gave women the chance to have important responsibilities within his businesses and also donated a portion of his fortune to charity, this doesn’t make it so anything can be forgiven. Trump claims he likes to have women around him, but that doesn’t mean he likes them for good reason or that women like to be with him too. As he wrote in Trump: The Art of the Comeback:

“There’s nothing I love more than women, but they’re really a lot different than portrayed. They are far worse than men, far more aggressive, and boy, can they be smart. Let’s give credit where credit is due, and let’s salute women for their tremendous power, which most men are afraid to admit they have.”

However, what he hasn’t seen written in the eyes of these women is that it doesn’t mean he should try to become more powerful than them. Making America great again is only possible if everyone is involved, and this can only be done with tolerance and respect. Here are the 15 worst things Donald Trump has done to be hated by women, and anyone who respects them:

15. Ivana Ordering Fish

Learning about how Donald’s father, Fred C. Trump, treated women, it is easier to understand that the candidate for presidency grew up with a misogynist role model. As his ex-wife Ivana recalled in an interview with Michael D’Antonio in The Truth About Trump:

“I told the waiter, “I would like to have fish.” O.K., so I could have the fish. And Fred would say to the waiter: “No, Ivana is not going to have a fish. She is going to have a steak.” I said, “No, I’m going to have my fish.” And Donald would come home and say, “Ivana, why would you have a fish instead of a steak?” and Donald defended his father saying: “He would’ve said that out of love. He would have said that only on the basis that he thought, ‘That would be better for her.’ ”

Even though unlike his father, Donald hires women to do important jobs, he still considers his stay-at-home mother as “an ideal woman.” It is now more possible to understand his acceptance speech for the Republican Presidential Nomination: “My Dad, Fred Trump, was the smartest and hardest working man I ever knew… It’s because of him that I learned, from my youngest age, to respect the dignity of work and the dignity of working people.” As women shouldn’t be working people according to Fred, he never said they also deserved dignity.

14. Women Used As Trophies

As reported by Slate, teenage Donald was named “ladies man” and wasn’t shy to tell everyone what he did in bed. When he is asked how he earned that title nowadays, he rather say: “I better not tell you – I’ll get myself in trouble.” But was it because he did naughty things or because he didn’t do anything at all?

“Donald was extremely sensitive to whether or not the women he invited on campus were pretty,” said George White, who was at the same school then, as reported by the New York Times. Problem is, Donald never grew up to change that behavior as he keeps advertising his exploits, thinking getting women gave him more authority over others. He left a voicemail to Tucker Carlson saying: “It’s true you have better hair than I do. But I get more p***y than you do” as reported by Salon. However he tries, and fails, to keep some modesty be writing in The Art of the Comeback: “If I told the real stories of my experiences with women, often seemingly very happily married and important women, this book would be a guaranteed best-seller.”

Even if he is proud enough by himself, it got worse when he saw that the headline “Best Sex I’ve Ever Had” about him in The New York Times: “He absolutely loved that. He waved it around the office. “Did you see this?” Everyone who worked there were kind of horrified. We all thought it made him look bad. He didn’t.” Not only he tries to make other men feel inferior because of the number of women he has been with, but he also makes women seem like trophies men can earn, as if the one who gets the most is the winner. There are more reasons to be proud of being a good man for one woman than to be a bad man for too many women.

13. When Hillary Clinton Couldn’t Satisfy Her Husband

“If Hillary Clinton can’t satisfy her husband what makes her think she can satisfy America?” is certainly one of the worst sexist tweets Trump ever retweeted, as he even deleted it from his account. Referring to Clinton’s husband cheating on her with Monica Lewinsky, Donald seems to think women are responsible if their husband is unfaithful. He acts as if what makes a woman good and skilled is what she does in bed.

The insult was first shared on Twitter by Sawyer Burmeister, a Texas equestrian champion, ; who then deleted it because of the negative backlash. She then said she was sorry by tweeting: “Get some rest, there are more important things in the world to be worried about”..Hillary hopefully followed this last advice as she did not waste time with that by simply not responding to requests to comment.

Even though Trump’s office said the staff running the Twitter account were responsible, as reported by The Daily Mail Online, Trump doesn’t seem to want to apologize.

12. When Many Women Should Have Said No

As Trump thinks all women are interested in him, he is also treating them as if they were. Even though he said “I have always treated women with great respect. And women will tell you that” the New York Times investigated and found out that women do not tend to say that. They talked about unwelcome romantic advances and an unprofessional workplace conduct instead.

Temple Taggart, who was Miss Utah in 1997, told the New York Times: “He kissed me directly on the lips. I thought, ‘Oh my God, gross.’ (…) I think there were a few other girls that he kissed on the mouth. I was like ‘Wow, that’s inappropriate.’ ” This was his first year as the owner of Miss USA and he already acted as he owned them. Model Rowan Brewer Lane also reported to the New York Times that, at a party, he asked her to trade her clothes for a bikini and then presented her saying “That is a stunning Trump girl, isn’t it?” as if she then belonged to Donald. Possessing women is also part of his political campaign, as he said “I think the only difference between me and the other candidates is that I’m more honest and my women are more beautiful.”

11. When Fat Pigs, Dogs, and Slobs Didn’t Deserve Political Correctness

During the GOP debate on August 6, Megyn Kelly from Fox News called out Trump saying “You have called women you don’t like ‘fat pigs’, ‘dogs’, ‘slobs’, and ‘disgusting animals.” He simply laughed before answering that he doesn’t “have the time for total political correctness.” At least he tries to be politically correct sometimes as he tweeted:

“While @BetteMidler is an extremely unattractive woman, I refuse to say that because I always insist on being politically correct.”

And sometimes he doesn’t even try as the New York Magazine reported he was proud of pouring a whole bottle of wine on Marie Brenner because she wrote a story on him and he didn’t like it. If he doesn’t mind insulting women, they have no right to offend him as Gail Collins, a New York Times columnist reported he sent her a copy of her column on which “The Face of a Dog” was written next to her picture because she said he was a “financially embattle thousandaire.”. Let’s take that as a compliment as dogs are really cute, and certainly more respectful than the candidate for presidency.

10. Elizabeth Beck

As Elizabeth Beck told CNN, the candidate for presidency wasn’t happy when she asked to take a break to feed her daughter:

“He got up, his face got red, he shook his finger at me and he screamed, ‘You’re disgusting, you’re disgusting,’ and he ran out of there.”

According to Trump, moms can’t be good workers anyway as he told Mika Brzezinski: “She’s not giving me 100 percent. She’s giving me 84 percent, and 16 percent is going towards taking care of children.” When asked about it, he doesn’t feel sorry at all but he would rather tweet to humiliate her even more: “Lawyer Elizabeth Beck did a terrible job against me, she lost (I even got legal fees). I loved beating her, she was easy.”

9. When Women’s True Opinion Was Denied and Ignored

“Love him or hate him, Donald Trump is a man who is certain about what he wants and sets out to get it, no holds barred. Women find his power almost as much of a turn-on as his money.”

This might seem like a good compliment to say about Trump but, the reason why it has been said was because Trump said that about himself, as reported in The Narcissist Next Door by Jeffrey Kluger. Even if it is difficult to notice it, he also wrote in How to Get Rich that “All the women on ‘The Apprentice’ flirted with me – consciously or unconsciously. That’s to be expected.” After all, what he likes women to say is more in his own mind than in the mouth of any of those who crossed his path.

He is also the only one who claims he respects women while asking questions in New Hampshire: “I respect women, I love women, I cherish women” and tweeted “Nobody has more respect for women than Donald Trump!” His argument for that on Twitter?

“After doing a quick Google & Twitter search there are over 15,000 women’s groups supporting DonaldTrump. Stop Lying.” and “WOMEN LOVE TRUMP. TRUMP’S EXECS PREDOMINANTLY FEMALE.”

8. When Party Girls Couldn’t Dance Anymore

Few people know about the show called Lady or a Tramp as in never aired, even though it was developed by Donald Trump and Fox as an adaptation of “Ladette to Lady.” As reported by Slate, the idea was to learn debutant good manners to 15 women who like to party as he told Variety:

“We are all sick and tired of the glamorization of these out-of-control young women, so I have taken it upon myself to do something about it.” The goal of his “genius” idea? “Getting a second chance and transforming for the better.”

As he also told The Post: “It’s in a way very entertaining, but it’s very educational, because a lot of young women are going to learn from it.” Women will have to wear tweed shirts and pearl necklaces to look like the perfect wife. They will then learn the most powerful skills a lady can have: needlework and flower arrangement. A casting had started, even though it will never be possible to see the results of it. Trump was looking for “rude and crude party girls… younger women who are 18-30, love to party and full of attitude” and was planning to find them in nightclubs.

7. When Women Had to Be Sexy, But Not Megyn Kelly

In an interview with Larry Kim in 2006, Trump didn’t mind shaming Angelina Jolie for dating many guys, claiming he just didn’t think she was attractive. “She’s been with so many guys she makes me look like a baby, OK, with the other side. And, I just don’t even find her attractive. That has nothing to do with why I said it though.” Let’s just remember that “baby” Donald Trump likes to brag about his sexual exploits, but it seems like it is okay if a man does so. He claims he didn’t date “as many as people would think” as reported by the New York Times, but, in fact, doesn’t even remember how many women he has dated.

Even though his wife Melania is now the victim of a slut-shaming anti-Trump campaign, Trump also used to encourage this kind of sexism, tweeting “Criticizes Trump for objectifying women. Poses like this in GQ magazine,” accompanied with seductive picture of journalist Megyn Kelly. However, you don’t need to make the same mistake that he did if you want to be anti-Trump, posing naked is not hurting anyone and shouldn’t be considered as wrong.

6. When Marla Had to Stick to Her Salary

Donald Trump knows what is the most important thing when it is time to marry someone: not losing his money with the future divorce. Therefore, anyone should inform their future husband what they will get if they divorce. Even if he says it is okay for women to refuse, he doesn’t mind making them regret their choice in Trump: The Art of the Comeback: “I fully understand this, but the man should take a pass anyway and find someone else.” The only good thing for them to do is to “quickly sign a prenuptial agreement in order to make a quick hit and take the money given to her,” convincing them not to get the part they deserve, in exchange for a little bit of money guaranteed. Otherwise, she is probably a gold digger taking advantage of him, poor man.

He doesn’t seem to understand someone is cooking the meals he eats when he comes back home, after cleaning up all day, and they aren’t paid for that. Maybe he should be scared of gold diggers after all, as money seems to be the most important thing he can offer in a relationship.

5. When Ivana Had Great Reasons to Divorce

Donald doesn’t want women to get money from the divorce, but it is horrible to think they won’t get anything even if they are treated badly. He usually likes his wives to be passive, as he told Oprah“There’s not a lot of disagreement because, ultimately, Ivana does exactly as I tell her to do”. However, when they refuse to do so, Donald makes sure they do listen to him anyway, according to what Ivana reported. Seeing Ivana working outside home made it so he was mad when dinner wasn’t ready when he came home, as he wrote in Trumpnation.

There were problems with the prenuptial agreement and the Daily Beast was able to read some documents about this situation. They found out that Ivana claimed the candidate for presidency “has increasingly verbally abused and demeaned [her] so as to obtain her submission to his wishes and desires.” It has also been reported by Harry Hurt in The Lost Tycoon: The Many Lives of Donald J. Trump, that he himself assaulted a women, even though he was never found guilty my justice. Her ex-wife Ivana states in her book A Note for readers: “I referred to this as a ‘rape’, but I do not want my words to be interpreted in a literal or criminal sense.”

4. When Women on the Apprentice Were Nothing but Attractive

In his 2004 book, How to Get Rich, Trump made sure everyone knew what he was looking for in The Apprentice: “It’s certainly not groundbreaking news that the early victories by the women on ‘The Apprentice’ were, to a very large extent, dependent on their sex appeal.” He apparently didn’t change his mind four years later as in Trump 101: The Way to Success, Donald put women back just where he thought they belonged. He wrote: “Beauty and elegance, whether in a woman, a building, or a work of art, is not just superficial or something pretty to see” as if the only way a woman could be successful was by her look, and not any skills or quality she has.

Trump doesn’t mind remembering them as he said to a reporter on a clip featured on Last Week Tonight: “I mean, we could say politically correct that look doesn’t matter, but the look obviously matters. Like you wouldn’t have your job if you weren’t beautiful.” Does someone who doesn’t know what “political” and “correct” should really be voted for president?

3. When Rosie O’Donnell Had to Be Fired

shutterstock_95919598

Rosie O’Donnell is disgusting, both inside and out. If you take a look at her, she’s a slob. How does she even get on television? If I were running The View, I’d fire Rosie. I’d look her right in that fat, ugly face of hers and say, ‘Rosie, you’re fired.”

If he ever gets to work with women he thought weren’t attractive, he made sure they stayed unnoticed. “He wanted the people in that room to think that all the women who worked for him were beautiful,” Ms. Res told New York Times. Moreover, after Alicia Machado won the 1996 Miss Universe title, she asked for some time to get in shape after she gained weight, but she didn’t know that would come with cameras filming her and Trump pushing her to be thinner. As it was reported by New York Times, she then became anorexic and bulimic for years and had to see a lot of psychologists to forget this humiliating moment.

2. When Every Women’s Body Had to Be Controlled

In an exchange on abortion with Chris Matthews, Donald Trump clearly said he was pro-life, after years of being pro-choice. Even if how and why he wants to ban abortion seems totally unclear, he did say that “there has to be some from of punishment” for the woman who decides to have an abortion. However, he doesn’t know either what it could be and doesn’t think men should be held responsible for this. Matthews made sure people understand that Trump has no idea of what he is talking about as all he could say is “I am pro life” while supporting the catholic church. After he became more clear about that subject, he claims he wants to defund Planned Parenthood, even though he himself said they help millions of women in many other ways, as reported by CNN.

Women should expect being sexually assaulted if there are men around, as Trump tweeted: “26,000 unreported sexual assaults in the military-only 238 convictions. What did these geniuses expect when they put men & women together?” What are they supposed to do instead, dividing the country in two with men on one side and women on the other smaller side?

When accused of raping his wife, his special counsel Micheal Cohen claims that it is not true, as he had the right to do so according to laws: “It is true, you cannot rape your spouse. And there’s very clear case law.”, as reported by the Daily Beast. Well, no, it has been against the law for decades, and even though it was, that wouldn’t make it a good thing to do. Donald Trump does not only want to control women, according to this story, he wants to force them to do things for his own pleasure.
