The 15 Most Popular Viners You Need To Follow

via www.thehandbook.com

When American artist Andy Warhol coined the expression “15 minutes of fame”, little did he know that as technology would grow, six seconds is all it takes. Of course watching videos on YouTube and Instagram is entertaining, but a lot of teenagers today have a short attention span and are unlikely to wait a long while for “the best part” of a video.
Vine, which is now one of the most popular social media platforms of all time, enables users to post their own, as well as view others’, six-second long, looping video clips on the application/website. Vine was co-founded by Dom Hofmann, Rus Yusupov, and Colin Kroll in June 2012. Before its official launch in 2013, the company was acquired by Twitter for approximately $30 million (according to reports).

Initially offered as a free application for iOS devices, an Android version was developed later which took the world by storm. People from different countries, speaking different languages, started posting their six-second long videos. The funnier the clips, the more followers you are guaranteed.
But funny isn’t all that works in the Vine world. Anybody can post a funny video and make people laugh. What makes one stand out in the Vine world is how unique their clips are. This list contains of the 15 most popular, humorous, and unique Vine artists that everyone needs to follow. And remember, a lot can happen in six seconds.

Formerly a YouTube star, King joined Vine in 2013. Also in 2013, he won YouTube’s NextUp Creators contest. He appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2014 and spread his magic even there by creating various vines with the crew. King affirmed in an interview that it takes him more than 24 hours to produce a Vine, where three to four hours are dedicated to only filming.

He graduated high school from Richmond Hill, Ontario, and is the most popular Canadian Viner. After graduating, he worked at a local sandwich shop in Toronto, and aspired to become an actor. Yes, I know it’s hard to believe how this is possible within 6 seconds, but that’s what makes Thomas Sanders special.

Apart from that, his Disney and Pokemon prank Vines are also hilariously famous. He does incredible impressions of Stitch, from Lilo and Stitch, and Stewie, from Family Guy, in a lot of his videos. Since he participates in Musical Theatre, a lot of his Vines have him singing, which he is really good at.

A successful actor, he is currently nominated for the People’s Choice Awards for the “Favorite Actor in a New T.V. Series” category for the show “Grandfathered” where he starred alongside John Stamos. The series was cancelled in May 2016.

Half Brazilian and half Italian by ethnicity, Rudy Mancuso is one of the funniest Viners ever. He is best known for his characters Isaac and Juan (both Spanish). His character Isaac’s phrase “Take it easy” became a viral sensation. He uses his own background to mock Hispanic stereotypes in the most hilarious way possible. His characters also include a Spanish Batman, and a Spanish Superman. But even when Rudy is not in any character, he is eminently funny. He has collaborated with other Viners like Brittany Furlan, Lele Pons, etc.

Ever since TMZ published a false article about Rudy stating he “doesn’t give a crap” about Vine and that’s the key to his success, Rudy became even more popular.

Yes, she is the most followed female Viner ever since she bagged the title away from Brittany Furlan, and not only is Lele Pons extremely beautiful, she is also absolutely hilarious. She is currently the most looped person on Vine. Most famous for her slapstick comedy, Pons is often playing silly pranks on herself and her friends and it never fails to crack people up. Little did they know Lele would go on to become one of the most popular Internet personalities of all time.

Lele co-authored the book “Surviving High School” with Melissa de la Cruz, which was released in April 2016. She is known to have coined the expression “Do it for the Vine!”

Grier’s younger brother, Hayes Grier, is also popular on Vine and the two have collaborated numerous times.
Most of Nash’s videos feature his younger half-sister Skylynn who has, herself, become a viral sensation, thanks to brother Nash.

Grier has over time received a lot of backlash for his videos being racist, homophobic, islamophobic, and sexist. Actress Ariel Winter of Modern Family fame, called out Nash’s homophobic video and their feud continued until earlier this year. But despite it all, his follower count has not diminished.

His followers count as of now – 12.8 million on Vine, 9.5 million on Instagram.

1. KingBach

All hail the King of Vine! Andrew Bachelor “King Bach” has been the most followed Viner since March 2015. Born to Jamaican parents in Toronto, Bach moved to Florida, U.S.A. with his family when he was two. He was introduced to Vine by Brittany Furlan and posted his first Vine in April 2013. He has also made his T.V. appearances with recurring roles on shows like ‘House of Lies’ and ‘The Mindy Project’, and is a recurring cast member on MTV’s ‘Wild ‘n Out’.
While a lot of Viners took opportunity of their Vine stardom and indulged in creating sponsored Vines, Bach has turned down most of those requests. Of course if he agrees, it will mean excellent publicity for the brands because King Bach is undoubtedly the King of Vine.
His followers count as of now – 16 million on Vine, 8.5 million on Instagram.
