There are many female movie stars in Hollywood today, and each one has her own set of strengths that make her stand out from all the rest. One of the most talented actresses today in Hollywood is Scarlett Johansson, an American actress who also sings and models. Scarlett Johansson started acting from the age of 10 years old, and she is one of the few actors who manages to transition from kids roles to adult roles without getting lost somewhere in the middle.
Over the course of her career, Johansson has had numerous award nominations, from which she has won quite a number of awards. Some of her first awards were the BAFTA award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role for her role in the 2003 movie Lost in Translation, A Tony Award for Best Performance by a Featured Actress in 2010 for her stage performance of A View from the Bridge, and many other awards. Also, Scarlett Johansson has two albums to her name, Break Up and Anywhere I Lay My Head, evidence that she can really sing.
Scarlett Johansson is a very attractive woman, and is considered to be one of Hollywood’s present day sex symbols. Scarlett has appeared numerous times in lists that have been published of the sexiest women in the world, with Playboy magazine labelling her as the “Sexiest Celebrity” in 2007 and the Esquire magazine giving her the title of the “Sexiest Woman Alive” in 2006 and again in 2013. Although Scarlett is always hot and attractive in every role she plays, here are some roles that we can all agree she was hotter than usual:
10. A Love Song For Bobby Long (2004)
A Love Song for Bobby Long is a 2004 drama film focusing on an 18-year-old girl named Purslene Will (Scarlett Johansson), who has to move back to her home after her mother’s funeral. The young but very hot Purslene has to tolerate living in a home where she is not accepted at first, and learn to live with two heavy drinkers. Although Purslene only remembers her mother focussing on her career and avoiding her most of the time, she discovers letters from her mother that were never mailed, as well as the identity of her father, which explains why the two men are living in her home. Scarlet Johansson is very attractive in this movie, since even Lawson has to fight his attraction to her to avoid complications in his life.
9. Scoop (2006)
Scoop is a murder mystery/romantic comedy starring Scarlett Johansson, Hugh Jackman, and Ian McShane that was released in 2006. The plot thickens when she discovers that Lyman is not the man they were after, but in actual sense he was the murderer of one of the prostitutes and he wanted to kill Sondra after finding out what she had been up to. Scarlett Johansson plays the role of the innocent investigative journalist, and has a few scenes where she shows us just how beautiful and attractive she is; especially in her bathing suit.

7. The Island (2005)
The Island is a science fiction action thriller film released in 2005, portraying how the future in 2019 will be with regard to cloning and organ harvesting. Johansson plays the role of Jordan Two Delta, the clone of a supermodel named Sarah Jordan. The isolated society where these clones live is a community of strict rules, where they are meant to believe that the world outside is too contaminated to support human life. The only way out of the environment is to be chosen to go to an island that is contagion-free, where the clones are supposed to go and begin life and procreate. However, when one of the clones Lincoln Six Echo (Ewan McGregor) starts questioning everything and begins having dreams that he cannot explain, it leads to him and Jordan escaping from the facility and taking the audience through a wild and exciting ride. The Black Widow was initially a Russian Spy, who later moved to the United States, joined S.H.I.E.L.D, and has been fighting to defend the earth alongside the Avengers against high profile criminals, super villains, and extra-terrestrial powers with ill intentions. Scarlett Johansson is the image of the Black Widow and she plays this role perfectly because she is athletic, the Black Widow suit fits her perfectly, and her exceptional beauty makes it easy to spy on the enemy.
4. Don Jon (2013)
Don Jon is a romantic comedy-drama about a man named Jon Martello (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) who is only concerned about his body, his pad, his ride, his family, his church, his boys, his girls, and especially his…umm…adult entertainment. Scarlett Johansson plays the role of a woman called Barbara Sugarman, who Don Jon decides to pursue after being immediately struck by her beauty. Sugarman and Don Jon get into a serious relationship, which Sugarman eventually breaks off due to Don Jon’s insatiable desire to watch porn and masturbate even after sleeping with her. Scarlet Johansson is as hot as ever in this movie, and in the real world her character would have fulfilled any man’s desires and gotten him out of his addiction.
3. Match Point (2005)
Match Point is a great drama released in 2005 that wonderfully addresses the themes of greed, immorality, lust, luck and money. In this movie, Scarlett Johansson plays the role of a woman called Nola Rice, who gets instantly attracted to a recently retired tennis pro Chris Wilton (Jonathan Rhys Meyers). The problem with their relationship was that Chris was planning to marry Chloe Hewett Wilton (Emily Mortimer), and despite his feelings for Nola, he went ahead and got married. A time comes when Nola gets pregnant with Chris’ baby, she pushes him to end his relationship with his wife and come raise their child together, but he feels trapped and has to lie to both his wife and Nola. Chris ends up killing two people including Nola, in order for him to save his public image. The roller coaster of emotions in this movie is what makes it so captivating, but Scarlett’s role as the other woman is simply unforgettable.

1. Vicky Cristina Barcelona (2008)
Vicky Cristina Barcelona is a romantic comedy drama where Scarlett Johansson plays the role of Cristina, a spontaneous, confident, free spirited, nonconformist woman who is not sure what she wants from love or life. Vicky (Rebecca Hall) and Cristina (the blond Scarlett Johansson) are two American friends who decided to go to Barcelona for the summer, and end up in a very complicated love arrangement that can be referred to as a love quadruple. An artist by the name Juan Antonio hits on both girls at the same time, despite having a weird relationship with his emotionally and mentally unstable Ex-wife called María Elena. This 2008 movie is amazing to watch, and Cristina is without a doubt a very hot character that Scarlet executes flawlessly.
