The popularity of ‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ (RHOBH) star, Lisa Vanderpump, led to the successful Bravo TV spin-off ‘Vanderpump Rules’. The series follows the action in her West Hollywood restaurant SUR (Sexy Unique Restaurant), featuring the drama that ensues amongst her staff. It also shows Vanderpump as she struggles to find a balance between her responsibilities at home and the demands of operating the restaurant.
Viewers may recognize some familiar faces, as the sexy ensemble (headed by ‘Dancing with the Stars’ alum Vanderpump) includes aspiring and working Hollywood actors and actresses. Bravo has reportedly renewed the series for a third season; despite the backlash they received after the show took a dark turn during the season 2 finale. The cast erupted with fury over an admission of cheating, which invovled a four-way love triangle. One cast member was slapped and another was punched and cut by a glass that was lodged at his head. Despite the violence, Deadline reported that 2.24 million tuned in for part one of the ‘Vanderpump Rules’ season reunion and the show beat RHOBH in ratings.
Season 3 of ‘Vanderpump Rules’ will follow Vanderpump and her husband through the process of opening PUMP, a new lounge in West Hollywood. Does a cast that plays together, get highly paid together? Join us as we uncover what the stars of ‘Vanderpump Rules’ are really taking to the bank.
