So what does it mean to vape? Technically speaking, to vape is to inhale the vapor from an electronic cigarette. Also called an e-cig or a vaporizer, vaping is becoming quite a common thing. Electronic cigarettes are used in place of the actual thing because they serve as a nicer and healthier alternative to smoking traditional cigarettes or cigars, which are full of nasty tobacco and other toxic waste.

We use the word “vape” in lieu of “smoke” because there is no smoke involved! Whoa! It’s just water vapor! Plus, you can have the option of different cases and holders for the battery. Bejewel it, bedazzle it, or do whatever your heart desires. Now, vaporizers do still include nicotine, so it is still an addiction, but hey, at least you don’t have to worry about polluting your lungs in the process!

There are loads of celebs who have latched on to the vape craze. From musicians and actors to politicians and models, there may not be someone famous near you, but there is probably someone who vapes near you! If you have not heard of vaping, then enjoy our list of 20 Celebrities You Probably Don’t Know Vape, and maybe explore vaping on your own.

While you’re at it check out this video on vaping made by our friends at myfreedomsmokes.com.

Lindsay Lohan loves nothing more than getting in a puff on her e-cig, especially when she is stuck padding around her home while under house arrest. She has been vaping since at least 2011, when she was spotted catching some puffs while sitting on the set of Extra. Right now, vaping may be all that LiLo can do. She has been having quite a rough time lately and what with the alcohol, stealing, and her barrage of other issues, maybe smoking some electronic cigarettes really is not that much of a problem. After all, vapes are not filled with the nasty tobacco that poisons your lungs!

She has been seen at nightclubs and other public spots puffing away at vaporizers. And that is indeed, hot. When she is not smoking away at a vape, she is probably shopping, toting around a very small dog, or maybe even trying to forget that she made a sex tape.

Johnny Depp is one rad dude. He was a hipster before such a thing existed. So he knows that vaping has become mainstream cool, even though he has probably been doing it way before all those other people. Depp does not just smoke e-cigs when he is out and about or at home. He does it on the set of movies he is filming as well. Hmm, we wonder if he did it in Into the Woods, in which he played the Big Bad Wolf? Puffs of smoke coming out of his nostrils would actually be pretty epic for an evil canine.

Katherine Heigl speaks her mind and she did just that when she appeared on a late-night talk show to discuss her vaping practices. She even invited host David Letterman to vape with her. Now that is a girl who is not afraid to share. Sharing is caring, Katherine! The funny thing is that Heigl started smoking at age 25, rather than starting when she was just a teen. She said that it is so stupid but it is an addiction and that she does not even know how she got hooked. So when vaporizer pens came along…voila! She was able to smoke right on David Letterman’s show and they passed the e-cig around.

Yes, Sienna is definitely part of the celeb vaping craze and she is helping to spread the word about this alternative to smoking. Maybe Johnny Depp did not like that Sienna was stealing his thunder and vaping too. He recently cut her off from the role she once had in his Black Mass film.

Isla Fisher has a pretty name. And a pretty face. Gee, it would really be a shame for that pretty girl to get yellowed nails, bad breath, and gray skin from smoking tobacco-filled cigarettes. Vaporizers to the rescue! Isla Fisher is an actress and producer who is part of our list of celebrities who vape. She was born in Oman to Scottish parents, making her strangely and oddly exotic. Leonardo DiCaprio is so dapper. Of course he smokes. But wait! He does not just smoke anything, he vapes! Yes, Leo DiCaprio is another celeb on our list who is known for vaping. He does it when he is being social because, well, even a handsome guy like Leonardo DiCaprio must get nervous every now and then. So maybe puffing on an electronic ciggie helps to calm the nerves and make him look even cooler. Plus, it is a nice send-back to his roots in Titanic, when the upper-crust higher-class people would smoke. Although they would smoke real cigars…and Leo died in that movie…

11. Kate Moss

What else do you do when you are beautiful and a successful supermodel? You smoke…no, actually you vape! Kate Moss is yet another celeb who has been seen toting around an electronic cigarette to take puffs on every now and then. She totally plays to that model stereotype of chain-smoking away in order to decrease appetite. In the past, Moss would smoke the real deal, but we all know how harmful tobacco is for our lungs and the rest of our bodies and the environment and basically everything else. So, now she puffs away at vaporizers to be at least as healthy as Kate Moss can be.

Jack Nicholson is getting old, no doubt. And old guys tend to do what they want, regardless of the circumstances. Luckily for Jack Nicholson, he turned to vaporizers as a way to continue smoking without actually smoking. Vaping provided a nice alternative to stuffing his lungs with tar and other toxic chemicals. The actor, film director, producer, and writer frequents the neighborhood of Los Angeles and usually has an electronic cigarette with him. You always need to have one to look cool in L.A. Of course. Now some of us may say that Jack Nicholson is so old he may as well do what he wants, but whatever.

6. Simon Cowell

Simon Cowell is one busy dude. He spent time bashing people’s singing on American Idol and then he moved to X-Factor in Britain because you know, Americans are so annoying. And then he has to keep all of his white T-shirts looking clean and pristine. Sheesh, what is a guy to do but find some peace and quiet to himself? Well, he uses electronic cigarettes, of course. Naturally, we jest, but it does not surprise us that Simon uses vaporizers. Not only does smoking make him look more badass, but it is probably the least he can do to relieve the stress of working with all those idiots.

5. Ryan Seacrest

So being the host of American Idol has got to be hard work. First of all, it is a super-popular television show that has been steadily decreasing in fandom over the years. And it is just about kaput now. But when it was in its heyday, it was where everyone wanted to be. And the person who stayed with it throughout all those years was the host, Ryan Seacrest. Dealing with all of those judges and the contestants and telling people to vote, vote, vote must have been exhausting! No wonder Seacrest resorted to smoking. Fortunately, a vaporizer is a better solution to puffing away on a real cigarette.

4. Michelle Rodriguez

She does not go far without her vape pen, and she has been seen hanging around hip Los Angeles while taking long drags on her e-cig. Michelle is known for her work as an actress, screenwriter, and also as a disc jockey. Cool! When the almost-40-year-old is not doing her thing, she is probably hanging out with friends while they pass around a fake joint. Or she is being a cougar and dating guys like Zac Efron. Oh wait. That relationship did not turn out well, did it?

3. Nikki Reed

Nikki Reed has been spotted hitting the hotspots around town while huffing and puffing on an electronic cigarette. She has even been photographed doing it with her best friends. When she is not fake-smoking, she is working as an actress, screenwriter, singer-songwriter, and model. Again, modeling and smoking just seem to go hand-in-hand, no? Luckily, she uses vaporizers instead of the real thing because smoking real cigarettes is no good for you, Nikki! If you want to see what Nikki can do when she is not taking drags of a vape, watch her in The Twilight Saga. Go on, do it!

John Cusack is an actor, producer, screenwriter, and he is also a master of puppetry! He has another title to add to his resume: celebrity vaper! Yes, Cusack also gets his puffs in on an electronic cigarette and he finds that smoking on these e-cigs is quite enjoyable. Plus it does not give him the tar-filled lungs that traditional cigarettes and cigars do. Sounds like a win-win to him! He gets his smokes but he can still sit pretty. Or so it seems. You can see Cusack puffing away at his leisure while he does the other stuff John Cusack does on a daily basis.

1. Barry Manilow

Via stupidcelebrities.net

Ever wonder why Barry Manilow’s voice is so raspy? Could it be that he smoked way too much? Like many musicians, Manilow loved nothing more than a good smoke. So when he finally realized that it would be wise to quit, he was finding it super hard to handle. What a lifesaver a vaporizer was! Now he can get his puff addiction met without the added health risks of smoking actual cigarettes. And he can continue belting out classics such as “Mandy,” “Copacabana,” and “Can’t Smile Without You” without his voice breaking or running out of steam. Vaping has also been an adopted practice of his band as well.
