There was a time, not so long ago that the individuals who belonged to the LGBTQ community lived a life filled with secrecy, shame and uncertainty. However, flash-forward to the 21st century, and slowly but surely the acceptance of this community has started to skyrocket. Although it may not be perfect yet, more and more people are starting to realize that everyone has the right to love. What used to be a negative has turned into a positive, and now these individuals can live a life filled with happiness, love, and pride.
Our world is far from perfect, and many people suffer from the need to hide who they truly are, simply to fit into the cultural aspects of life. You might be a teenager who is being bullied at school, or an adult who has never accepted themselves, no matter who you are it is important to know that you are not alone and that things will get better.
Believe it or not, but there will come a day where everyone has equal rights and sexuality becomes a topic we don’t write about in articles or even pay much mind to. But until then, celebrities who have come out to the public will continue to be an inspiration for those who haven’t found their voice yet.
15. Megan Fox
Megan Fox is an American actress who was born in Tennessee. From a young age, Fox knew that she was born to become an actress, and so she pursued her dreams at all cost. At the age of 17 when she was cast as Brianna in Holiday In The Sun. From then on, her career as an actress flared up, and she ended up landing lead roles in Transformers, Jennifer’s Body and The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Although Fox has been married to Brian Austin Green since 2010 with whom she has 3 children, the actress says she has no question in her mind about being bisexual. However, Fox stated that she would only consider dating a fully lesbian woman.
“I’m also a hypocrite: I would never date a girl who was bisexual, because that means they also sleep with men, and men are so dirty that I’d never want to sleep with a girl who had slept with a man.” Said the 30-year-old actress when interviewed by Esquire Magazine.
14. Jim Parsons
We were first introduced to Jim Parsons as the peculiar introvert formally known as Sheldon Cooper on the hit TV series The Big Bang Theory. Many of us fell in love with his character on the show, and were so enthralled by his oddness, that we never once doubted that he was a-sexual in real life.
Some of you may be surprised to find out that Parsons has been in a relationship since 2002. Yes, an actual relationship, not a science experiment. This amazing actor says that he never deliberately tried to hide his relationship with Todd Spiewak, he simply just never spoke about it.
When asked if keeping his sexual orientation on the down-low had ever caused him discomfort Parsons replied, “I never had a coming out piece, I just didn’t mention it. I took Todd with me to events…and then finally one day while working on Harvey I did a piece with Patrick Healy for The New York Times and he just point-blank asked, ‘Was working on The Normal Heart meaningful to you as a gay man?’ And I was like, ‘Well, yeah. Yeah.’ And what a wonderful…I can’t tell you what a wonderful thing that was, what a gift he gave me with one question. It was suddenly out there and official.”
Well there you have it folks, Sheldon Cooper does in fact, have a sexual orientation.
13. Queen Latifah
Queen Latifah has always been a respected and loved actress. Her entire dynamic and easy smile has always been enough to win over any type of person. With all that said, many of her fans do not comprehend why she will not openly admit that she is a lesbian woman. In a way, we can understand her decision to keep it a secret because, in the end, it is her life, but being famous has its downfalls and her intimate moments are often captured by the paparazzi.
What we all know and love about Queen Latifah is that no matter what, she will do as she pleases and always does so in a sophisticated manner. Although Queen Latifah might never say the words, “I am a lesbian,” she has voiced her opinion on the matter time and time again.
“People’s ideas in general are antiquated when it comes to who you love. We haven’t moved as quickly as we should. And the reality is that there’s always been gay people in the black community, so it’s not foreign to us. And not just as a black community but just a society as a whole,” said the beloved actress.
12. Azealia Banks
Azealia Banks recently received some heat from the LGBT community because of her loose use of the word “fa***t.” As a rapper, Banks commonly uses this word in her songs to describe “men who hate women” and not “gay males.” Banks even went as far as saying, “I can’t be homophobic because I am bisexual.”
Banks insists that she did not mean to insult the homosexual community and that the only reason she is addressing these accusations in the first place is because she doesn’t want to piss off her fans. The rapper says that homosexuals have much bigger problems to face than the word “fa***t” and that we should put the whole “Azealia Banks is a homophobic thing to rest.”
“I have a transgender sibling. My whole life is gay, all of my friends are gay, I am bisexual….So please….Stop,” were Banks final words on the matter.

Quinto first came out as a gay male back in 2011 while in an interview with New York Magazine. Although rumours had previously circulated on wether or not Quinto was in fact homosexual, the accomplished actor refused to give a straight answer. Quinto’s ability to flawlessly inhabit the role of a straight or gay male made it hard to pin-point exactly which side he leans to.
Quinto has always been an activist when it came to bullying and gay rights so when teen suicides continued to occur because of bullying, Quinto took a stand and expressed himself. “As a gay man I look at that and say there’s a hopelessness that surrounds it, but as a human being I look at it and say ‘Why? Where’s this disparity coming from, and why can’t we as a culture and society dig deeper to examine that? We’re terrified of facing ourselves,” said the actor.

9. Alan Cumming
Alan Cumming, who has come out as bisexual says that even today, LGBT people are still being treated as “second-class citizens.” Although many more celebrities are now finding the courage to be who they really are while under the very judgmental eyes of the public, there is still a long way to go until equality means the same thing for everyone.
“I live in the world. I’m a very privileged person, but there are certain things I’m aware of in certain places I go to. If you’re a gay person living in this world, you still feel like you’re a second-class citizen. Because you absolutely are. “All I can say is, I’ve done both, and I don’t let either experience define me. I don’t let having been with a man make me think I am heterosexual, or make me want to call myself that, because I know I have been attracted to women — and have lived with women. So, for me, I’m not looking to define myself, and I’m sorry if that is something that is seen as a rejection of or an unwillingness to embrace my sexuality in a public way, but it’s simply not. It’s simply what’s true for me, and that’s all I can speak to,” said the 41-year-old actress.

He believes that he contracted HIV during one of these sexual encounters.
Sheen has always been seen as a womanizer, but recently there has been talk that women were not the only lover’s he was after. A woman named Anna Gristina, formally known as the “t” came out with new information that the Two and a Half Men star tended to be fond of pre-op transgender women.
Gristina, who was Sheen’s former madam also said that Sheen has been secretly bisexual for quite some time now, and has spent a lot of money on transsexual hookers.

Although Bennett had tried to keep his love-life secret for the most part —he was outed by Julianne Hugh on Dancing With The Stars back in 2014.
While the remark was meant to be completely harmless, Hugh ended up creating some complications for Bennett. As a judge for the show, Hugh was discussing the contestants of DWTS on Extra with host Mario Lopez. When the topic of Bennet came up, Hugh commented on how Bennett had tweeted her the night before saying she had a nice butt.
When Lopez asked her what happened next she replied, “He’s gay. So I was like, that’s not gonna work,” Hugh replied. Real smooth Hugh, real smooth.

3. Kristen Stewart
When it comes to Kristen Stewart, getting a straight answer on where she stands with her sexuality is nearly impossible, but pictures don’t lie. The Twilight actress has been seen canoodling with both men and women in the past. Which leads the public to believe that this down-to-earth actress is bisexual.
Stewart has previously stated while undergoing an interview with Variety, that the cool thing about acceptance is that you don’t have to immediately know how to define yourself. A declaration that I’m a little nervous about. Not quite as nervous as my publicist, huh, Jennifer? But uh, you know, I’m just going to put it out there. Loud and proud. I’m going to need your support. I am — single!” said Foster before getting rid of her grin and taking on a more serious tone.
“I already did my coming out about a thousand years ago, back in the Stone Age. In those very quaint days when a fragile young girl would open up to trusted friends, and family, coworkers and then gradually, proudly, to everyone who knew her,” said the beautiful and talented actress.
