It appeared to be a dream come true for hip-hop super producer Swizz Beats (Kasseem Dean) and his then-wife Mashonda. They were five years in what seemed to be a successful marriage. In addition, the couple had just welcomed a newborn baby son. By all accounts, many cemented them as one of the music industry’s rising power families.

But the hip-hop world was shocked when rumors began to swirl that Swizz Beats was dating superstar artist Alicia Keys behind Mashonda’s back. While Keys’ alleged that Beats and Mashonda were already broken up, Mashonda took to Twitter to tell her side of the story, claiming that Alicia Keys was not only selfish and hypocritical, but that her actions helped to destroy her entire family!

Ultimately, Mashonda divorced her husband and the father of her children while Swizz Beats fell deeper in love with the Fallen singer. Keys and Beats married in 2010. Today, the hip-hop power couple have two children together.

By the time their tour wrapped up, public speculation turned into reality as it was clear that Springsteen fell for Scialfa. At the same time, Springsteen and Phillips put their marriage to an abrupt end. A few years later, Springsteen eventually married Come Tomorrow singer in 1991. Johnny Depp was known to have been linked with his long-time girlfriend and mother of his children, Vanessa Paradis in 2012. They held a 14-year long relationship, and all signs were finally pointing to wedding bells and lifelong happiness. But during the filming of his 2009 movie The Rum Diary, rumors began to circulate that the then 47-year-old Depp was cheating on Paradis with a 28-year-old starlet named Amber Heard. Their relationship was apparently so passionate that Depp eventually ended his almost decade-and-a-half relationship with Paradis.

With the media on a rampage, Heard was labeled as a homewrecker and the new lovebirds took some time to let issues smooth over. But soon enough, they were back together as a new Hollywood power couple.

On February 3, 2015, the couple tied the knot and remain together to this day.

But on the other coast, Aniston and Theroux were heating up legendary Hollywood rumors that the two were more than just friends, but lovers. This was especially upsetting for Bivens and her family, who claimed that Theroux was still involved with her while dating the Friends actress. Nonetheless, Aniston dove in head first, while Theroux decided to separate from his long-time girlfriend and move into the Marley and Me star’s posh L.A. home. Finally, in August of 2010, Theroux popped the question and the two wed in August of 2015.

When they met on the set of Mind Over Murder in 2005, it was love at first sight for Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott. However, they were both married to their own partners at the time. McDermott was married to Mary Jo Eustace, and Spelling tied the knot with Charlie Shahnaian.

But their previous commitments didn’t matter. All it took was one month of courtship, and both McDermott and Spelling filed for divorces from their respective partners, igniting a highly controversial Hollywood love affair. One year later in 2006, they both got married.

All was well in their Hollywood relationship until recently when rumors began to circulate in February of 2015 that McDermott cheated on Spelling with his ex-wife Mary Jo! A devastated Spelling is trying to keep their marriage together, but there’s no doubt that this couple has a lot of work to do if they’re going to stand the test of time.

The two made a very beautiful couple, but the only problem was that when they first started dating, Wade was married to Siohvaughn Funches, his college sweetheart and mother of his two sons.

As the relationship between Wade and Funches deteriorated, there were several allegations and lengthy court proceedings that led to lots of emotional damage in the process. Even Union was sued by Wade’s ex-wife for emotional damage to her family.

The Miami Heat superstar divorced Funches and carried an on-again, off-again relationship with Union. But while on a relationship break, Wade was confirmed to have gotten another woman – Aja Metoyer – pregnant with his third child! Nonetheless, Wade and Union carried on as a couple, reconciling and getting engaged in the process. The two became husband and wife on August 30, 2014.

But after the Troy actor met up with Angelina Jolie on the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith later in the year, the media picked up on an undeniable connection between the two stars. Soon it became apparent, Pitt was falling for Jolie and carrying on a sexual relationship with her behind Aniston’s back.

Despite some early denials, it was later confirmed; Pitt was head over heels in love with Angelina, much to the obvious dismay of a humiliated and disappointed Aniston. Despite tremendous controversy and warnings from friends and family, Britney tied the knot in a surprise ceremony with Federline on October 6, 2004. The married couple had two back-to-back kids in a short time frame, but predictions of a tumultuous relationship came true as Kevin suffered through a failed rap career and both were heavily criticized for their bad parenting and nightclub antics. Within a few years, their relationship had completely deteriorated, ending with a bizarre divorce in 2007 sent through text and fax messages. A wicked custody battle and mental health issues for Spears followed as the two went from lovers to enemies. Love in Hollywood can prove to be as scandalous as it is ruthless, and the story of Billy Crudup and Claire Danes is no exception. It all allegedly began in 2003 on the set of the film, Stage Beauty when the Almost Famous actor fell hard for the beautiful Danes. The two were romantically linked for months, which sounds perfectly normal if not for the fact that they were both already involved to their own respective partners.

However, their romance was strong enough to maintain their affair, and their relationship got very serious quickly. So quickly in fact, that Crudup infamously decided to leave his eight-year relationship with his seven-months pregnant girlfriend, Mary-Louise Parker. Danes also made the decision to split from her partner as well.

Crudup believed that he had found the one for him, until Danes fell for another Hollywood star, Hugh Dancy on the set of the 2007 movie Evening! In a remarkable turn of events, the Homeland actress ended her four-year relationship with Crudup to be with Hugh Dancy! Dancy and Danes married in 2009, and had their first child in 2013, leaving Crudup behind.

In the classic 1979 movie Manhattan, Woody Allen played an older character who dates a college-aged girl, only dismissing it as a short-term fling… Until his character realized he loved her. Nearly 13 years later, life imitated art in one of Hollywood’s most scandalous affairs ever.

In 1992, a then 56-year-old Woody Allen seemed to be very fond of a 21-year-old Soon-Yi Previn, igniting a media firestorm in the process. Why? Well, it just so happens that Woody Allen was in a 10-year relationship with actress Mia Farrow at the time. Also, Soon-Yi happened to also be Mia Farrow’s adopted daughter! The legendary tale recalls a horrified Farrow finding out that Allen was in a sexual relationship with Soon-Yi when she found naked photos of her barely 21-year-old daughter in Allen’s apartment.

Family turmoil and ugly allegations of child molestation and sexual abuse followed for years, but it ultimately did not break the bond Allen and Soon-Yi developed. In 1997, they got married and went on to adopt two children. 23 years later, despite the media’s fascination with their affair and dogged allegations of Allen’s previous behavior, the two are still together to this day.
