He used his stewardess girlfriend to transport drugs using her suitcase. George started to fly in drugs from Puerto Vallarta, Mexico through stolen airplanes from Cape Cod's private airports. He and his associates once made almost $250,000 a month.

In 197,4 he got arrested for smuggling 660 pounds of marijuana to Chicago. He was at the Playboy Club during his arrest. The judge reduced his sentence after an argument, and they sent him to Danbury, Connecticut's federal prison. In 2001, filmmakers created a biopic on him called “Blow” that features Johnny Depp.
