Argentinian businesswoman and heiress Maria Ines de Lafuente Lacroze has an estimated net worth of $1.2 billion as of March 2013 according to Forbes. A significant portion of her wealth is actually derived from the sale of Loma Negra which is considered as the largest cement making company in Argentina.

Maria Ines de Lafuente Lacroze is the only heir of Amalia Lacroze Fortabat's massive fortune. When the latter died in 2012, the former became the wealthiest woman in Argentina. Maria Ines' mother used to be the wealthiest and most influential women in Argentina. When her mother died, she inherited Loma Negra which was founded by her stepfather in 1926. The company was run and managed by her mother for around 25 years. In 2005, she decided to sell her stakes in the company to a conglomerate Camargo Correa of Brazil for an estimated cost of $1 billion.

Maria Ines de Lafuente Lacroze is known to be more actively involved in many philanthropic activities over running the family business.
