The former wife of Russian émigré tycoon Boris Berezovsky, Galina obtained a quickie divorce at the High Court last July 2011. Like her ex, Galina lives in Britain.
They met in 1981 while still in Russia when she was 22 and he was a hard-up professor in his thirties earning £60 a month. They were married 10 years later. Although they have been separated for up to 16 years, Galina is fighting for a financial settlement that could be as high as a third of Berezovsky’s fortune. Until details are released, Sunday Times Rich List valued her net worth at $268 million.
