Turkish businesswoman Deniz Sahenk has an estimated net worth of $1.7 billion as of March 2013 according to Forbes. The majority of Deniz Sahenk's fortune is amassed from Garanti Bank. In the past year, the bank's stock prices increased by almost 25%.

This Turkish businesswoman is the widower of Ayhan Sahenk. Together, the couple has two children named Ferit and Filiz, who are also billionaires like her. Her husband died in 2001 after suffering from a heart attack. She doesn't have any active duty in Dogus Group which holds interests in construction, media, tourism and finance.

Today, Dogus Group is considered as one of three largest private-sector conglomerates. It currently holds a portfolio of 25 companies which include Turkey's largest banks, retail and food stores, as well as Volkswagen, Porsche and Audi dealerships.
