Ukrainian businessman Vadim Novinsky has an estimated net worth of $1.9 billion as of March 2013 according to Forbes. He is known to own stakes in various companies including Smart Holding Group, Regal Petroleum oil and gas company, as well as Amstor supermarket chain.

Vadim Novinsky was born on June 3, 1963 in Staraya, Russia. He is a graduate of the Academy of Civil Aviation. Novinsky is currently married with three children.  Right after graduation, he started working for several companies in Russia. In 1986, he began working in Russia, at Lukoil North West. Eventually, he started acquiring Ukrainian metallurgy companies.

Together with billionaire Andrei Klyamco, Vadim Novinsky currently co-owns Smart Holding Group. Currently based in Ukraine, the group holds interests in agriculture, development, shipbuilding, oil and gas sector as well as BM Bank and Unex Bank.
