Turkish billionaire Sarik Taka is the co-founder of ENKA and he has an estimated net worth of $2.4 billion as of April 2016 according to Forbes. Based on the data gathered by Forbes magazine, he is the seventh richest person in Turkey and is ranked 503rd in the World Billionaires list.

Mr. Tara founded the construction company in 1957 along with Sadi Gulcelik. The largest construction company in Turkey is currently managed by his son, Sinan, who is also a billionaire. The company has made a big play in Russia both as a contractor and real estate investor. It has its own offices, a hotel, and shopping malls in Moscow with 63 additional supermarkets, hypermarkets and shopping malls across Russia.

Although it is based in Istanbul, the Turkish construction conglomerate ENKA is known for constructing U.S. embassy buildings such as those in the Dominican Republic, Equatorial Guinea and Afghanistan. With 37 subsidiaries, it engages in a wide range of construction activities including power generation, airports, petroleum, and roadways.
