Philip Berber is a technology entrepreneur based in Texas who was born in Ireland. This man eventually is involved in impact investing, international aid, social entrepreneurship, and philanthropy.

Based in Texas, Berber sold Cybercorp, his online trading company, to the US giant Charles Schwab in 2000, collecting £250m before tax for the business.

A large chunk went into A Glimmer of Hope, the charity founded by his wife, Donna, to provide aid and funding for Ethiopia. The Dubliner has three sons. He eventually got engaged with philanthropy in Austin through Glimmer|Austin that supports locals, innovates social ventures and early-stage non-profits. Philip also became engaged with BerberFam, their Family Office and Berber Family Investments and he eventually served on the Glimmer Board.
