Mr. Tsvetkov has built his estimated net worth of $2.6 billion as the founder and president of Nikoil Financial which he later renamed Uralsib. A graduate of Zhukovsky Air Force Engineering Academy, he served as a lieutenant colonel in the Russian Air Force. He then founded the company and helped his fellow former military officer Leonid Fedun and his boss Vagit Alekperov in order to gain a controlling stake in the company. For his service, he was given a sizable stake in Lukoil.

After renaming the company to Uralsib, Nikolai Tsvetkov chairs Financial Corporation Uralsib, a company with business interests in banking, insurance, investment, leasing companies, and asset management. By 2012, he has attended every New Year’s party of the Uralsib company, congratulated his employees, and sang his own songs from the stage.

Tsvetkov sold his Kopeyka supermarket chain in 2010 for $1.1 billion in cash to X5 Group. Since then, he has created a network of companies that produce organic food.
