Japanese building tycoon Minoru Mori had an estimated net worth of $1.9 billion as of March 2012 according to Forbes. He previously served as chief executive officer and chairman of Mori Building. Along with his brother Kei, they own 100% of Mori Building. Also, Mori holds 12.74% of Sunwood Corporation's stakes.

Minoru Mori was born on August 24, 1934 in Kyoto, Japan. He is an alumnus of Tokyo University. Right after graduation, he immediately joined his father's real estate business. He was married and has two children. At age 77, he died of heart failure in 2012. His initial fortune actually came from his father, Taikichiro Mori, who has hailed as the world's wealthiest man in 1991, and 1992.

Today, Minoru Mori is associated to many real estate developments which include the Roppongi Hills in Tokyo,  Shanghai World Financial Center in China, and Omotesando Hills which was built near the Harajuku station.

In 2008, he was hailed by Fortune Magazine as the Asia Businessman of the Year 2007 .
