Russian businessman Mikhail Fedyaev has an estimated net worth of $1.2 billion as of March 2013 according to Forbes. Most of Fedyaev's fortune is derived from his investments in coal, machinery and railway transport.

Along with billionaire Vladimir Gridin, Mikhail Fedyaev currently controls Sibirskiy Delovoy Soyuz, a conglomerate that holds operations in chemicals, construction, coal mining, engineering and transportation. Every year, the conglomerate reportedly produces over 20 million tons of coal. Two years ago, SDS was reported to have acquired a fertilizer manufacturer from Sibur for $1 billion.

Mikhail Fedyaev completed his bachelor's degree in engineering from Kuzbass Polytechnic Institute. While Fedyaev was still in college, he was working as a mechanic in a car factory. Eventually, he met his future partner, Vladimir Gridin. Together, the duo became the owners of a coal field. He is currently married and has two children.
