From a small pizza restaurant which they founded in 1959 in suburban Detroit, Michael and Marian Ilitch now own Little Caesars which is considered as one of the top three international pizza chains with restaurants operating in four continents.

In addition to Little Caesars, the duo is also associated with the Detroit Red Wings Hockey Club which they purchased in 1982, as well as Olympia Entertainment, Inc, the management company for Cobo Arenas and Joe Louis. In August 1992, Mike Ilitch purchased the baseball team, the Detroit Tigers. It was in May 1996 when Olympia Development, L.L.C was launched. Later on, Marian Ilitch invested in MotorCity Casino where she later became the sole owner.

Through the years, the Ilitch's assets continue to grow and expand. This led to the forming of the Ilitch Holdings, Inc which provides professional and technical services to the primary business interests owned by the family. These businesses include Blue Line Foodservice Distribution, Olympia Development, Champion Foods, Olympia Entertainment, Uptown Entertainment, Detroit Red Wings,  Little Caesars Pizza Kit Fundraising Program and Little Caesar Enterprises.
