Australian entrepreneur Mark Ackroyd has an estimated net worth of $280 million. He is one of the owners of National Plant and Equipment, a successful enterprise in Australia which offers machinery for the mining sector, both for sale and for rent. Recently, his shares in the company were acquired by Mitsui for $150 million.

Since the sale of his shares in the National Plant and Equipment, he has seen a business slowdown, especially in Bowen Basin of Queensland.

In addition to the National Plant and Equipment, Ackroyd also holds interests in the haulage business, as well as in commercial properties.
