American internet entrepreneur Jerry Yang has an estimated net worth of $1.86 billion as of May 2016 according to Forbes. He is best recognized as one of the founders of Yahoo! Inc where he once served as the Chief Executive Officer.

Jerry Yang attended Stanford University where he finished his bachelor and master's degree in Electrical Engineering. While at the university, he co-founded Yahoo! Inc which was then known as  "Jerry and Dave's Guide to the World Wide Web". He co-founded Yahoo! Inc with David Filo.

In 1999, he was named as one of the world's top 100 innovators under 35 by the MIT Technology Review TR100 . He served as the company's CEO from June 2007 through January 2009. He was highly criticized for his performance as CEO because he wasn't able to increase the company's stock price and revenues under his management. He was replaced by Carol Bartz. As of the moment, Jerry Yang serves as one of the board of directors of Cisco and Asian Pacific Fund. He is also part of Board of Trustees of Stanford University.

Jerry Yang is currently married to his Japanese wife, Akiko Yamazaki. He met her while they were studying at Stanford University. After finishing her degree in Industrial engineering, Akiko Yamazaki currently works as the director of Wildlife Conservation Network.
