Born on November 7, 1958 in Dallas, Texas, Ross Perot Jr. is the 328th richest person in the “Forbes 400” list and 1031st in the world. Aside from Perot Systems, he has amassed his estimated net worth of $1.4 billion when he made his mark as a developer in Texas and created the massive nationwide real estate firm, Hillwood. Its biggest project is the 18,000-acre Alliance Texas industrial park near Dallas. It includes homes, offices, a giant rail yard and its own airport. He now wants to replicate such concept in Florida and California.

In 2002, Perot made a $1 billion deal with Brookfield Property Group to develop commercial property across the country but it didn’t go well. He also suffered missteps with the Victory Park development in downtown Dallas then lost big with the collapse of Parkcentral hedge fund in 2008.

Along with his siblings, Henry Ross Jr. donated $50 million in 2008 in his parents’ name to create the Perot Museum of Nature and Science in Dallas. He served in the Air Force, and in 1982, together with co-pilot Jay Coburn, they became the first to circumnavigate the world in a helicopter.
