Filaret Galchev has an estimated net worth of $1 billion.
Filaret Galchev is a major shareholder of Eurocement Holding AG, the largest producer of cement. He is also the man behind the creation of the Rosuglesbyt, the largest coal trading company in Russia. Later on, he invested in cement by buying Stern Cement plants. He then brought the share of his partner Georgy Kransyansky, to become the sole owner of the company.
Recently, he invested in fertilizers and he allegedly owns 10.3% stake in the Uralkali-Silvinit. Currently, Eurocement Holding AG and former Holcim Chairman Thomas Schmidheiny are the largest shareholders in Holcim.
Since 2000, he serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors at the Krasnoyarsk Coal company. Since 2002, he serves as the President of the JSC Rosuglesbyt and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Eurocement. Since 2004, he has been serving as the Chairman of the Board of Eurocement Group.
