Erivan Haub is the co-owner and former manager of the largest retailing company in Germany, Tengelmann Group. He joined the family business at the age of 31 and upon the death of Karl Schmitz-Scholl, his uncle, his assume the position of  the group's managing director. In 2000, he turned over the position to his son Karl Erivan and decided to join the supervisory board.

Under his management, Tengelmann Group has expanded significantly. The company took over the Kaiser's grocery store in 1971 and in 1972, the group founded Plus, a discount grocery. From then on, Haub focused on international expansion which lead to the taking over of The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company in 1979.
