Chinese Indonesian businessman Edwin Soeryadjaya has an estimated net worth of $930 million as of May 2016 according to Forbes. He is known to be the son of the deceased billionaire William Soeryadjaya who founded the Astra Automotive Group which he later lost.

Edwin Soeryadjaya was born on July 17, 1949  in Jakarta, Indonesia. He is a graduate of the University of Southern California. Soeryadjaya is currently married with three children.

In 1998, Edwin Soeryadjaya started restoring the family's wealth by launching the investment firm Saratoga Investama Sedaya. He is one of the founders of coal miner Adaro Energy where he currently owns a large stake through Saratoga Capital, his own private equity firm. He now owns Mandala Airlines, and he is a large stakeholder at Tower Bersama Infrastructure cell tower company.
