He also built the Greater Pittsburgh Merchandise Mart & Expo Center which is considered as the largest convention center set between Chicago and New York. Within four decades, Don Soffer was able to transform vast lands into thousands of offices and residential units. He is also the man behind the development of The Aventura Mall and Turnberry Isle Miami. Aventura is actually a self-contained city that features bike and exercise paths, lakes, golf courses as well as exclusive condominiums, office buildings, banks, hotels and shopping centers.
